  1. I too suddenly suffered from windscreen mist/iced up on the inside. I may have found the solution. When parking the car overnight set the air intake to recirculate and the direction down. It may be that air flowing over the warm engine after parking heats up and pulls moisture into the car and straight onto the windscreen where it condenses out. Seems to work for me?
  2. Have you tried turning on the AC as this helps dehumidift the air? One of my very few niggles with my Citigo is that I can drive 5 miles or more before the heater gets hot.
  3. Thanks for all your replies......................... but I jumped in the car yeaterday and the problem had fixed itself.
  4. Hi guys So after 6 years of trouble free motoring I finally have a fault. I ejected a CD and the "CD IN" indicator stayed on. Now I can't insert another CD as the unit thinks there is one already in? Is there a quick fix or a reset to solve this. Thanks.
  5. I may be wrong but the engine management system on my '13 Citigo makes it almost impossible to stall. Try taking your foor off the gas, on a quiet long stretch of road. You just keep going. Be careful when reversing as I find the "crawl" speed too fast. Have you also discovered the Hill Hold control?
  6. UPDATE. As I had a spare half hour yesterday I took it to my local garage. Turns out it seems to be the plastic sleeve around the shock absorbers. No easy fix without either removing the sleeve or a full replacement. He squirted some oil up the sleeve but it had no effect and also there is now the possibility of it being snagged on the MOT as it looks like a leak.
  7. Hi guys. Can I call upon the combined massive experience of the group? My little Citigo has given me 5 years carefree motoring and is just approaching 20,000 miles. Recently sailed through another MOT with no advisories yet I have a strange and somewhat annoying problem. I have recently noticed a persistent clonking noise from the rear offside. Sounding like a conker in a tupperware box, if that makes sense. I have had all the suspension checked out and pulled everything from the boot but still it persists. The only clue I can offer is that I noticed it more just after filling up. Could it be the fuel level sender in the tank??? Any one had a similar experience? Your suggestions greatly appreceiated.
  8. Hi guys I have now enjoyed my Citigo since 2013 and at my recent service I was advised to change the cambelt. My question is this, as it has still only done 19,000 miles and has mostly been garaged, just how urgent is this cambelt replacement? Thanks
  9. Hi guys Had my loverly Citigo for 3+ years now without a problem, but................ 1. It may sound stupid but does the radio receive FM stereo? I just noticed that all the radio toons sound mono? Normally there is a stereo/mono button on FM but I can't find anything in the handbook 2. About a month ago, after only 18k but 2.5 million speed humps, I noticed an occasional clonking from the rear offside. I can only describe it as sounding like a marble in a thick plastic beaker? Suspect rear shocks but wondered if the collective cognoscenti had any experience????
  10. Best ever was 370 but over three years, however I drive, always about 360
  11. Must be a bit heavy on the right boot as I have never managed more than 360 miles on a tank ???
  12. Not sure if this will work, but worth a try, Turn the ignition on then depress and hold the selection switch and turn off again????
  13. Hi guys. Been pondering this one for a while. Can anyone explain to me why, when I lift off the accelerator, my Citigo doesn't noticeably slow down? Is it because it is a low volume 3 pot or does it open the exhaust valves to reduce compression??? I notice though that I do have engine braking if I change down??
  14. Apparently the CO2 emissions level is being reduced on 24 June? The story I read said the new level would be 75 gms CO2 ? I checked on the TFL website and it said my car was still exempt yet I thought it had 98 gms CO2 emmissions? This does not directly affect me as I never drive into London but I would be really ****ed off if I got an unexpected charge. Can any of our resident experts clarify this one for me?
  15. Hi guys. My local Skoda garage, Lookers, are offering an Aircon service and brake fluid change for £89. Is this "too good to miss?"
