  1. I'm getting this looked at next Fri. But I have a sticky brake pedal, and sometimes at certain speeds over 40 I can hear a slight rubbing or vibrating noise. No idea where it's coming from, but I can only describe it as a slight hum that isn't constant. Sounds like something rubbing..
  2. Awesome, I shall make sure to rape the dealer with the warranty then!
  3. Excellent, thanks for the concise info! Will get it all looked at when I have a mo. Just wondered, how does the pentometer affect the brake pedal too?
  4. Hey all, Unfortunately or fortunately I haven't had my vrs long so thankfully It's under a years Skoda warrenty! Since I sorted out the DRL lights being plugged into the MAF (draining oomph) the car has some noticeable niggles. On idle the car vibrates or rocks a little, engine note sounds different when I dip the clutch. If this is the DMF how can I tell, how long until it goes and will the garage replace it under warrenty? Second thing: Iffy throttle, sometimes it revs up to 1500 when started and at the lights. Stops when I blip throttle. Third thing: Not sure if MAF is still dodgy after the previous owner wired the lights into it, still feels down on power. Fourth thing: Brake pedal feels sticky. It returns to position but feels like you've put your foot in chewing gum. Any help much appreciated as I haven't had the car long!
  5. Yeh I've never heard of that before! I bought it from Mitchell Skoda and it had great service history, one owner and looked like it'd been well looked after. Can't believe anyone with half a brain would do that and not think it'd affect it?! Hope I don't find any other **** ups on it now.
  6. Yeh thought as much! I can't believe anyone would even consider that. Do you think it would've effected the MAF in the long term with it being wired up like that? Runs like a dream now that DRL light wiring has been disconnected.
  7. Hi guys, Only bought my VRS Fabia last weekend and was royally ****ed off when the engine warning light came on today after work. Loss of power and no oomph. Found out the aftermarket DRL lights that were fitted ran straight through the MAF and were affecting the voltage readout, to the mount the MAF came up with a fault. Cut the lights, cleared the engine warning light and it's like a completely new car! Is this common place to run the light into the MAF?!
  8. Why thank you Yeh, I can't believe how well it handles compared to the Seat! Best car I've had so far for sure. Beautiful colour too
  9. Rob? I even got a bunch of flowers which I didn't quite expect lol
  10. Hi all! I picked up my gorgeous limited edition fabis vrs from Mitchell Skoda on Friday. Number 897. My previous car was a 200bhp Seat Cupra mk3 20vt so was concerned a diesel with considerably less horsepower would be boring. How wrong I was! Absolutely love it, and the 118 mile journey back to Worcester was a breeze. Pics to come Carla
