  1. Hi, I have the Allard EGR delete kit which came with the boost gauge nipple that I can attach to it, been reading a few old posts and some are saying not to connect it from the gauge this way and to connect into the boost pipe instead, what is the best way to do it??
  2. Will these fit?? http://www.screwfix.com/p/joint-connector-bolts-bzp-m6-x-25mm-50-pack/60492
  3. I'm going to be fitting my Airtec FMIC and using Seat Spot brackets, what bolts will I need as none were supplied with the brackets or with the intercooler itself.. cheers
  4. Car is going back to the garage that fitted it in the morning as it is still dripping oil on the drive and it is below the level readable on the dipstick so hopefully we find out the cause, definitely oil related because of the leak, just need to see who or what's to blame, seals on the turbo itself or the mechanic who fitted the thing fitting the oil feed pipe incorrectly or without removing it and cleaning it.
  5. Yes it has been remapped, I was in the process of getting the map tweaked and checked for overboost, only thing that delayed the situation was that it was overboosting on the old turbo due to sticky vanes and blowing off the boost pipes and going into limp mode, but after fitting the new turbo it wasn't going into limp mode any more but I assumed the pipes were becoming loose and leaking after previously being blown off a few times so i concentrated on securing them, finally got the Allard pipe kit off eBay which replaces the entire section from the EGR delete down to intercooler, turbo actually blew on the way home after getting this pipe kit fitted.
  6. Originally had a KKK on my ASZ PD130 which had sticky vanes and was overboosting and making a lot of whistling noises for a while, eventually got to the point where it was overboosting more often and going into limp mode at 3k revs, the upper boost pipe also kept coming off which was making everyday driving difficult so decided to just change the turbo before it went pop. Replaced it with a reconditioned Garrett PD130 unit from Midland Turbo which I believe is mainly used on the VW Golf and had to be clocked before fitting on the Fabia, the original turbo had not gone pop so none of the intercooler pipework, etc was checked and cleaned out, the oil feed pipe was also not replaced as I didn't know it needed to be replaced at the time, everything fitted and up and running. Driving home after fitting, taking it easy, the boost pipe popped off again while going up a hill in 2nd gear, I thought it was still loose from the first few times it popped off when the old turbo was overboosting so I just secured it again and continued, popped off from the other side the next day, again thought the pipe had just become worn from the amount of times it had come off so cable tied it and did a little DIY fix after looking online Next day I went for a 10 mile drive and got home to find a bit of oil on the drive, suspected it had leaked from the boost pipes, they were now secured so thought i'd leave it and monitor the drive for any further oil drips in case it was leaking from somewhere else Driving home tonight I was doing about 45 in 4th when there was a pop and a lot of white smoke coming out of the exhaust, no visible oil on the exit tip or slashed on the tailgate, I did take my foot off the accelerator as soon as it happened and let the car roll to a stop before turning the engine off, checked oil level and it was below what is measurable on the dip stick Any idea what could have caused it and what to get checked tomorrow and over the weekend when I take the car back to the place that fitted the turbo?? I believe the oil leak was coming from the turbo area as it is now visible on the undertray
  7. Midland Turbo, they're a bit funny when you want a turbo that isn't for your car (ordering a PD150 for a car that requires a PD130) so you mite have to repeat yourself a few times.
  8. You can use the hubs off a Fabia VRS and the rest is bolt on, I think you'll need 17" wheels as well to clear the callipers
  9. Finally got around to getting it done today, I supplied the kit and he fitted and activated it for me, works perfectly and the car is so much better to drive on longer journeys and also just normal drives I recommend him to anyone who wants the same done, he can supply and fit usually, I already had the kit before I got in contact with him so he just fitted mine for me.
  10. I bought a second VRS not long ago and the clutch biting point was like how you describe yours My other Fabia was nothing like that at all, I couldn't get used to it so decided to sell it and keep my first Fabia, a lot better to drive when it's higher up, felt like racing everywhere when it was so low, not sure if it was an uprated clutch or some non OEM cheap one
  11. Better off fitting a mk4 Golf one over those aftermarket ones from China, can pick one up with the fitting bracket for about £30-£35
  12. Started with budget stuff but soon realised that you do only get what you pay for and need to fork out a bit for decent stuff, still try my best to get value for money and make the most of special offers when they are running Just simple things like stocking up with 5l bottles of shampoo or snow foam instead of buying 1l or smaller, go for the 25l if you're a bit extreme haha
  13. I have a friend who does this with his TV at another store that has good warranty, he started off with a 32" and a few years later he's got one of the newest 50" ones on the market and it hasn't cost him a penny

  15. I've got a genuine Skoda stalk and wiring loom, who can fit these for me ideally in the Midlands area??
  16. Picked these up a few days ago Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
  17. AP's are made by KW but it's like their mid range set of coilovers, reasonably priced and perfect for every day driving
  18. Speak to somebody at DPM Performance and see what they can do for you, they'll usually beat other prices and have always been the best price for me on every purchase so far.
  19. Just literally replied on your AP suspension post and now seen this haha, I ran the Whiteline RARB along with the AP kit and also 20mm spacers on the rear, they were spaced out nicely but because it wasn't that low it looked a bit silly having wheels that wide out on the rear and having that arch gap, so i went for smaller spacers in the end, 15mm front and rear. Got mine off eBay for around £30 a pair of hubcentrics with extended bolts from Demon Tweeks
  20. Yh it's a 25mm drop on the VRS with the AP kit, I ran it for a year with no complaints, handled well and perfect for every day driving, didn't have to come to a complete stop for every bump, etc, in the end i just wanted to go lower so stuck with AP and got their coilovers, never looked back since!
  21. I remember seeing a member doing them a while back, this was over a year ago now though
