  1. Hi, i've recently started to get the stuttering problem... (had a remap a month ago and shortley after fitted a Bailey DV30). What was more worrying was; the other day when i put my foot down on the motorway after doing about 13 miles and felt like it was driving a 1.2l. Total loss of power, turbo was still spooling and DV made light noise... Has my air flow meter buggered up?
  2. I find the easiest way to ladder a pair of tights is to wear them, urm so i'm told...
  3. Ha ha, funny you should mention black tights... I did that with my last car. Yes, i would (and will) it'll help stop dust too.
  4. OK, here you go... Easy peesey... http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/6230/dsc00632up6.jpg AND http://img461.imageshack.us/img461/8425/dsc00633px2.jpg A pillar drill was nice and steady.
  5. I hear Celtc Tuning will do custom Remaps, around £360 for a Vrs and they come to your house / workplace... check out; http://www.celtictuning.co.uk/
  6. You can cut out or drill holes in the plastic cover below where the air filter sits. I'll try and get a pic on here of mine... Consider covering the holes on the inside with some old tights or breathable cloth, it helps keep the filter clean, keeps dust, bugs, spray out etc... I know it sounds PIKEY but no-one can see it unless they end up with their head under your front bumper???
  7. Whilst were on this subject, i've been thinking about a remap, who are the best people to sort this? Cheers.
  8. Yea, nice motor, once again alloys not sure, they look better from distance but your idea for them should be nice. With all your mods what bhp are you running?
  9. GSF (German Swedish French) do quite a few different brands of brakes and pads' date=' Ferrodo, Brembo, Green Stuff etc... Check them out, they are normally very knowledgable and helpfull too [url']http://www.gsfcarparts.com/[/url]
  10. Hi, to go back to the original post by 'jimmv', i have a similar reaction to my right foot in my vRS. Light on or light off the wheels will spin at times and sometimes quite violently shuddering or skipping (as if a suspension strut was broken) however my car does try to cope with it by reducing engine power, i find it applies the brakes in this scenario ONLY when i'm pulling out whilst turning (i.e out of a T-junction). Secondly, (and i'm sure some of you have) has anyone tried left foot braking in fast corners, if you apply a little pressure and hold, the car then adds extra braking equally all round to slow you down... Very clever and great if your going too quick, IF your quick enough and light enough with the left foot, we don't want to spinn off the road... DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME or ON SMALL ROADS.... once again, great forum.
  11. Regarding all the above engine note business... I would have thought that to change the note of the engine you might be looking at something more substantial like a port grinding or differant cams etc, that might not even change anything... engine mods not air intake or exhaust... Only trouble with this sort of thing is that it doesn't come cheap.
  12. Thanks, i'm glad someone else agrees. I was looking to put OZ Super Leggera on there but they were expensive. After looking around abit and some help through a mate with a business, i looked into those. They are, Team Dynamics (i know, i thought scally at first, but...) Pro Race 1.2, they very light, similar to the OZ's, i kept them standard 17" with standard tyres (for the moment) because i'm just so impressed with the handling the way it is. Anyhow, this is a brilliant site and some really good info, keep it up.
  13. New here so, Hi... You think about going back to rallying roots with something a bit like like this>>>?
