  1. I have done a search but found nothing on this particular matter. I have a 04 Octavia pd130 and in the technical data booklet it states 2 towing limits. 1) 1300kg on ascents to 12% 2) 1500 for specific countries on inclines up to 8% Which one is right for our roads? I have to tow something that weighs 1400kg but I obviously dont want to break the law if my limit for the car in this contry is only 1300kgs? Any help would be much appreciated, cheers Cav.
  2. When I had my pd100 I used a clutch kit for a g60 iirc, got it from Jabba and it did the job superbly and managed to cope with 181 bhp and 300lbs/ft torque. As for the exhaust I got a Miltek for a VRS and chopped the tailpipes off for the stealth look
  3. Theres a bloke at work with an immaculate red nova. All I know is its a 2.1l red top engine pushing 211bhp and im sure he said it did the 1/4 mile in either 13.2 or 13.6! All that its got inside is 2 seats and a roll cage, the whole car looks brand new!
  4. Well, im back in a Skoda again. After owning 2 Fabias I have got myself a mk1 Octavia tdi which I bought off another forum member (matt@theforce). Thanks again matt for a super wicked car . Im going to try and keep this for a while but you never know. Anyway, hello all and im glad to be back.
  5. Could the colder weather have any affect on the mpg?
  6. Hi, as many of you know I recently put my car up for sale but due to the way the market is I decided to return it back to standard and sell the 'modified' parts on here. Yesterday as I started to strip the car I got a phone call about the full car, after a chat I refitted a couple of bits and he came an viewed the car today and we instantly struck a deal. He got a bargain and I avoided being stuck in the garage for a day or 2 and getting frostbite As you can imagine I recieved literally hundreds of pm's and it would take forever to pm everyone back to explain the situation and apologise. Again I am sorry if I have ****ed anyone off but this was my easiest option. I hope you all understand, Thanks, Cav.
  7. I have lost my mind and gone crazy! Im putting my car back to near standard and these were the easiest things to remove.
  8. Even though this topic has been covered a million times I thought id share my little experience with you all. I have recently removed my Jabba RARB and rear strut brace, I just nipped out to pick the Mrs up from work and it felt like I had 2 flat tyres on the back while cornering......... I put the car into the corner going onto the motorway and it was all over the show:eek: I freakin crapped myself. (tyres were 34psi) This is the best mod for the Fabia. If you need a reson to buy anything for your Fabia this is it. It just feels so much more planted, safe and predictable with this metal bar strapped underneath. Its amazing Even if you dont get a Jabbasport one, get one:thumbup:
  9. Yeah, prop decat and uprated turbo. Mine whistles and wooshes. Sounds awesome.
  10. So I could put the standard map back on the car using this device? I know it has a stage 1 map on it but I never knew it was swichable!
  11. As above. Found it amongst the cars paperwork:confused:
  12. Get it built to stage 2 mate:thumbup: If it is a warranty job ask TD for the stage 2 instead, even if you do have to pay a little bit more. Just get a better map than the previous one I had:(
  13. Found on a forum in USA, Autotech are developing one for the 02M box which will be ready in early january:cool: I can only find JBS and Torque Developments for stockists of the Autotech stuff.
  14. Does anyone have info on these or know where I could get one? I have a look round and they appear to be pretty good but the whole diff thing is new to me so im still learning:O New Wavetrac® Limited Slip Differential from Autotech Driveline | VW Tuning Mag
  15. Its a blend of fibreglass, filler and some carbon sheet I found:cool: I didn't plan on painting it, thats why the finish aint perfect as the alcantara I wanted to use would of covered up the imperfections nicely.
  16. I have the Helix set up on mine and no complaints so far, that was running 180 odd bhp and about 300lbs torque. Now its 240bhp and 380 torques I just hope it can take it.
  17. Thanks for the positive comments:thumbup: I decided to put them in the heater vents as I only ever use the demist/footwell setting I cant believe how long it takes for the oil to warm up though, about 15 minutes:eek:
  18. I used plasti-kote Velvet touch then sprayed it matt black. Its very easy to apply. I did want to cover in Alcantara but I couldnt find any so resorted to that from B&Q.
  19. In 'real life' it does look very similar to the rest of the dash but my camera skills are awful to be honest. I'll go and see what paint it was I used.
  20. Stage 2 Turbo dynamics PD160 intake Pipercross panel filter Jabba EGR by-pass kit Uprated intercooler pipes Straight through exhaust- Pipewerx/Miltek Seat Sport intercooler..... .....and as of today, a bit of magic courtsesy of Paul at RS Tuning Also got some W/I on there but I aint used it yet:O
  21. Just take off the plastic cover by lifting the front then pulling it towards you and just check all the clips on the pipes are on properly. You may also need to get under the car to take off the undertray and check the pipes going from the turbo to the intercooler.
