  1. Strange, as I thought the dealer would of been able to do the car cheaper.. Seeing as they made the car???? Still lost.. How can the people who build the car, have it on there forecourt not do it cheaper than a lease company?? Anyhow does not matter, I just want cheapest for ME, just a head scratcher!!
  2. Just test drove the r. LOVED IT! No increase in insurance either over here! Watch this space..
  3. Hi guys, I'm confused? Really confused! I'm looking to get a new car. 2 or 3 year lease. £2000 upfront. Nothing strange there? So I goes to local vw dealer (stealer) to test drive the car I'm wanting. All is good. Sit down to work out finance and here is the CONFUSING bit: £2000 down and they want £500 a month for 2 year lease. Or £2000 down and 425 a month for 3 year deal. This includes vw servicing. Well I almost fell out of the chair. I have a quote from a well known leasing company for exact same car/spec with servicing AND road tax for 2 years at £1600 upfront and 290 a month over 2 years. Both deals were for 8000 miles.... AM I MISSING SOMETHING?? HOW???? HELP!! Please someone explain.. I think I'm going mad!!
  4. I'd be interested in the wheels fella. Pics?
  5. The dash rattle does my head in! Is it on glove box side? I have not got round to sorting it yet. Give me a heads up if you sort it?
  6. 3rd for Walsh motors. They are very busy mind. Easy to pay, and decent lads. Cobra customs in Antrim are very good also. New lot, but good eggs, they no there stuff and don't rip you off. They are doing plasti dip, alloy refurb, servicing etc etc.
  7. I'm not sure about mainland uk regions, they seem the same, but what I can tell you as fact is if it costs you guys a grand, the vultures over here want at least a grand more. Serious: 09 octavia. Same model, same miles. England 5000 n.i 7500...
  8. Cool, well I'm up in carrick now so just up road. Typical, I got it sorted, but be good to touch base for the future? Thanks
  9. Correct:To update. It was the usual rear windows. Nothing illegal. To further update: said person went immediately and got insurance from the local high street. Obviously not wanting a second to be uninsured. Then low and behold the 1st insurance company ring him back and said they had made a mistake. Again, don't shoot the messenger. I think he told them to foxtrot oscar... Especially as the insurance company said they would have to charge him a cancellation fee..? After they immediately cancelled it earlier in the day.. Scratches head.. REALLY? All this just for a hundred quid tint on the windows?
  10. Good man. Thanks, will do.
  11. Oh hang on? Is he running a biz and gunna want silly money??
  12. Thanks Niall. Gentleman.
  13. Hi guys, anyone with the above in n.i? Just need a scan. Just a couple of nigly problems!
  14. Ok, I've just heard today, not saying it's true, DO NOT SHOOT the messenger! .. But a mates girl got her windows tinted and rung up insurance company. The insurance company then cancelled her insurance on the spot. Quoting 'we don't insure cars with window tints'. I'm not sure what company it was, i will find out. So: do you need to tell your insurance company you have tinted windows????
  15. I can't find this on any Northern Ireland skoda dealers website?? Is it mainland only? If so Preston Pete give me a price on my car!! I'll be on the nxt ferry!
  16. Cool, going back to original post, yes was considering a bank loan. I'm just not sure on the price/value of my car. Going by auto trader there is quite a broad range. There is one on there same miles that is up for ten k. Then there ones with less milage up for 7k etc. and of course these are dealers. Thanks for your input on op guys.
  17. Voluntary terminating. Credit file unaffected. FACTs not fiction girls.
  18. It's not a clause: I'm surprised you seem to have not heard of this before?? Very surprised? You seem to have wrote loads on bailiffs etc but can you tell me where you are getting this from??Handing a car back when over half is paid is very common. It's ACTUALLY part of the consumer credit act. I've never heard of the things happening that you wrote? Could provide any facts on this? There are actually a few posts on here to do with this, I just can't be bothered to go back and paste them. Maybe I'm wrong Ps: owing more on car than it's worth not a good reason? To the chill pill tiger lad? Ok then.
  19. Baffled? The option to hand back the car half way through, in my case 2 years of a 4 year finance, is built in by the government. My car is worth less than the finance I owe on it. It's a no BRAINER. Also. After 2 years yes I am a bit bored. FYI I can afford the repayments. Thanks anyway for your insight.
  20. I think they are, and yes what a great suggestion. I know when I was looking for these black alloys 18" that if someone said ill swap my black ones for your standard 16s I would of thought Xmas had come early! Great suggestion. Thank you.
