Many thanks to Chris & Alan, it is looking great. Since getting the S3 I have only clayed and sealed it before, this is the first time any correction has been done. The car had quite bad cobweb scratches from a year of improper washing technique by the previous owner. There were also a fair few stone chips on the bonnet. I had filled these and sanded them back flat before bringing it up to Chris. So the steps it went through are as follows: Soaked with a snow foam and TFR mix to remove most of the dirt and help remove the remains of the previous sealant TBM with added Autobright wax off The wheels were soaked in fall out remover to clean off the brake dust, these didn't need much attention as I have already cleaned and sealed them with Gtechniq C5 Dried car Polished out the sanding marks with a Rupes rotary, 3" medium pad and Sonax EX 04-06 Polished the whole car with the Flex 3401 VRG, 5" medium pad and Sonax EX 04-06 Wiped down with IPA/paint cleaner mix Sealed with Sonax Nano Paint Protect Sonax BSD top-up on the wheels Working on the sanded spots Alan and Chris hard at work Some reflection porn I'm sure Chris can correct any points I got incorrect.

I've always found getting hold of DaveB virtually impossible. Doesn't the Mk3 VRS have 340 mm discs on the front? You need to consider that while the NQSBBK uses a 312 mm disc it needs more clearance around the front face of the disc. While you "could" fit a 16" wheel over the NQSBBK I think you'll have trouble finding some that have enough clearance behind the spokes. You could solve this with spacers, but I personally don't like them. You'll need 10 mm + of spacing each side I would think. The 340 mm set up will take a 17" minimum wheel, but should fit almost all Skoda wheels without the need for spacers. Just my opinion.

Yes it's still for sale. If you've got the 18" Neptune wheels you'll need some small spacers. 18" Zenith wheels don't need spacers. -

Yes they would, it is what I had them fitted to. -
Once you've fitted it should work as it still has the coding when fitted to mine. It will show and error in VCDS when you scan the car as you've still got the controls on the wiper stalk. If you need any VCDS help let me know.

I'm selling my maxidot instrument cluster (speed scale in MPH) PN: 1Z0 920 943 S This will fit a Octavia Mk2 facelift TDI (including VRS) You will need to code the immobliser, transfer mileage, etc to get it up and running, I got Eddie-NL to do this and it has worked faultlessly. Maxidot makes a great upgrade and allows you do lots of other things for example display directions, phone information, media info, trip computer, etc and adjust some car settings. These are now very difficult to get hold of (in MPH). £100 UK delivered.
