  3. Only green if you pay the extra though, know what you mean about the cack keep thinking i should clean mine..........
  4. Yeah with all the other stuff at once it'd be easier to just free the existing one if possible. But then if i buy a new one i'd have to paint it or pay through the nose for a green one couldn't have an odd silver one lol.
  5. Hi,car had timing belt & brake fluid change yesterday however upon collecting it turns out one of the front bleed nipples is seized.Garage recommend new caliper as they would but brakes work fine so i would like to free it up rather than replace at the moment. as its also got a torn cv boot as well that needs to be done now as well, bloody cars! Got plus gas & little wire brush so was thinking clean it up,soak it for a week or so & try gently gently on it but does anyone have a better suggestion. Cheers in advance.
  6. No problem,i think its the only place around here to stock it.
  7. I got Plumbers Gold from Toolstation, don't know if you have one your area or not.
  8. I bought a 9mm gasket & opened the it out to about 11mm (with a dremel so not perfectly round lol) fixed the problem for me,before doing so at 1800 revs it would judder like mad,so much so dont know how previous owner lived with it.
  9. Wychwood Solace 50 inch HD oval brolly, comes with bag, storm poles, pegs & groundsheet. In excellent condition only used a couple of times & is now surplus. £60 collected or local meet.
  10. And they come with the nuts,i got a price from a dealer & they "its recommended to use new nuts but they are extra".TPS price was £53 without nuts so that e bay price is pretty much half price.
  11. One of mine is knocking like a good un,going to go for the Meyle HD ones from VW Spares,4 year warranty, good reviews & a lot cheaper than oem.
  12. Oops just seen the above placcy bag post ignore my other post slow typer lol. Plenty of duck tape then.
  13. Ordinary silicone wont stick if the surfaces are at all damp Plumbers Gold will cure under water so is ideal for the job. When i did my rears i found there had been a previous attempt with some sort of black mastic but both were still p*****g water in. I used a small screwdriver to rip out as much of the original seal as possible starting about a third of the way up the carrier, then filled the gap with as much sealer as i could get in there & then applied another layer over the top between the carrier & the door immediately 7 roughly smoothed it off. Not had problems since hope this helps.
  14. Don't seem to be any with the logo on there at the moment but this looks to be the same apart from the logo. Item no 271558338569
  15. E bay ones with the VRS logo embroidered on fit pretty well for the fronts, they're what i went for after looking at a lot of others.
  16. Thanks all, will get the IPA at the weekend & hope for reasonable weather.
  17. Ok mate thanks, just want to be sure don't want any more problems lol.
  18. I'll take a bottle of the Optigloss please. Cheers.
  19. Thanks Chris did try one of those chipsticks that come with colour magic but it seemed too hard & not sticky enough will get a crayola & try again lol. What ratio should i mix ipa at to remove the old polish please.
  20. Old thread revival here,i have the above problem since trying cherry glaze which really did a good job on the rest of the car but the bonnet & bumper look bloody awful now,the chips are really white & stand out like a sore thumb. Never used IPA before so would like some advice on dilution rates please. I think it will be back to the black hole from now on as the chips didn't seem so so noticeable using that, would using a black coloured wax wax help at all? Thanks in advance.
  21. The e bay ones with the embroidered vrs logo are the best i found after a lot of searching, they are nylon though but are a reasonable fit unlike the universal type.
  22. That's what i did til i fixed mine, black insulation tape over the joint between glass & rubber, make sure everything's dry before you put it on & it sticks ok. If you're doing the repair now use plumbers gold as it sticks to wet surfaces.
