  1. A MASSIVE THANK YOU To BTS22, who invited me over to his to seal my new alloys with the great products he uses. He even gave me some products to keep me going and keep the alloys in good condition, he could'by have been more friendly and helpful. Ben you are an absolute credit to the forum, thank you very much and I'll be keeping in touch with you. Thanks again, Cameron
  2. Every time I spend loads on something I get it wrong! So, is wheel acid the stuff that removes brake dust? Should I sell them now and hope I don't make a loss? Do I get them sprayed? This has certainly taken the wind out of my sails, I was really looking forward to these :(
  3. I see, they are a 'take off' set from a 14 plates mk2. May end up having them painted then, bit of a shame. Is it not an easy task (for a professional) to strip the chrome part down and remove the white marks, then lacquer them again?
  4. I have a couple of marks under the lacquer already I've noticed, will apply a protective layer prevent them getting worse or is it a case of once it's started that it? Bl***y annoying really.
  5. Scary. Whats the chance of my getting them replaced by skoda? My car is under used car warranty until next month but of course the wheels arnt standard for my car.. it's but I deal in this case to have them replaced with black ones then. I never read up on them as I just didn't expect these issues. They're so pretty though :(
  6. Hi mate, sure that would be spot on. Is it ok for them to be on the car? I'm likely to be having them fitted tomorrow you see. When is a good time and where are you?
  7. Is there anything you can do to prevent the white spiders?
  8. Hello! Picked up a brand new set of Fabia mk2 vRS alloys (14 plate) from North Yorkshire on Thursday for my Special Edition Pictures will follow shortly once I make the account on that picture thing! Just painfully waiting for the weekend to pass so my set of four brand new Hankook Ventus v12 evo 2's get here! Was close to getting Audi Comps but wanted to be one of the few so far who have the Gigaro's. Does anyone else have the diamond cut ones on a Fabia vRS mk1?? I don't want to cause upset so my intention is not to 'advertise' but I want to gauge interest in the Mk1 Fabia vRS alloy, are they being bought, is it worth me selling mine? They have been finished in gloss black if that makes them more appealing.. just want to know from you lot if they would sell or if I'd be best keeping them as a winter wheel! (This sentence will be edited out if seen to be incorrect use of the forum and its rules so moderators get in touch if you want it removing) Spacers, what do we think people?? Thank you for viewing I know its boring at the minute but in a couple of days I'll be uploading lots of pictures hopefully!
  9. Cheers dude, will sort that out! Read your build thread, good stuff on there chap! Going with a fellow fabia vRS friend tomorrow to get his mufflerectomy done
  10. Good to hear you got it cracked munstaar, did you manage to fit the pipe without extending it? Have you also got a 'mufflerectomy'? As said above pictures would be great! Question folks, how do I attach pictures to a message such as this?
  11. This is god awful, I didn't think I'd say it but you've actually made it worse than Skoda did! The idea is to make them look better!! Its a Special edition too! Ah well, each to their own
  12. Hi mate, I think what your asking is can you remove the vac pipe from the air filter lid without breaking it or cutting it? If that is what your asking the answer is yes because I did! I cant remember 100% the configuration however I believe its just a case of pulling it off of a lip inside the box. Can you (carefully so as not to contaminate the internal part of the vac pipe) lubricate it and pull it out? Or If that's not relevant I seem to recall prizing it off with a very small flat bladed screw driver.. I hope this has helped I'm sorry if not but I've slept since I fitted mine! It can be done though. I would also recommend sourcing a piece of rubber pipe to extend the standard vac pipe so you don't end up stretching the standard one to fit it into the s2000 cone! Hope you crack it mate its worth doing! Cam
  13. Yes Kyle that was probably me.. I ordered one from Amazon, the picture on it was blue, it said it was blue, I turned up, red and black.. bit annoying but at least it wasn't lime green!
  14. Mine has just started today the creak noise as described in the thread. It occurs when see sawing the steering or turning sharpishly. I noticed thehe noise over music, going round a tight roundabout on a harsh surface. The car had a new steering rack or column last year when I bought it. I don't know if this has anything to do with it but earlier today I moved over in the road for a police car to get through the traffic and at about 3 to 5mph hit the curb on medium lock as I saw infront a low curb and didn't see the full height curb which made abit of a cringey bang, as a pot hole does that you wish you'd seen in time. The car has a month and a half left of it's used skoda warranty that it came with. Please, HELP! Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can find those rubber square things in the pictures above because it was said the sound was like a steering column issue but turned out to be the rubbers. I'll report back tomorrow. Any ideas though I'd appreciate guys
  15. I'd like to hear from the guys who were having these problems last year, mine has just started today the creak noise as described in the thread. It occurs when see sawing the steering or turning sharpishly. I noticed thehe noise over music, going round a tight roundabout on a harsh surface. The car had a new steering rack or column last year when I bought it. 16. It's already been answered but just for clarification, it replaces your 6 CD auto changer if you have one, guessing if you dont the port is simply free to plug into anyway?! Cheers
  17. +1.. I'd like to have this but I know I wouldnt be up to the challenge of wiring! Great stuff though, I'd REALLY like LED lights on the rear, every bulb as led like Korban's vRS for those who are familiar with him! Took him ages to get it all right though apparently..
  18. Some great ideas guys, the rubber in the middle cup holder is my next move as bottles/can rattle in there! I want to tint the rear clear parts on the lights too, would blue be a good idea? Considering getting a new vrs logo for the front grill becausethe standard one is pretty dated..
  19. Please do not be offended by the phrase used, I'm sure you can appreciate it is used widely by people to express how passionate/obsessive they are about something, and that no-body, particularly in this instance was using the phrase in an offensive way, only good intentions, are intended here. Regards, Cameron.
