  1. The part number is 3U0 919 275 B. You can find it though cheaper on EBay, original, new. Last time I bought it for ~ 30 Euro + shipping cost. You can search for this code on ebay.de, they have plenty of VAG original parts. Nevermind the language, just search for the part number. Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  2. The original purpose of the cut-out was to host the repeater (2006 model). In 2007 they decided to change the repeater location and integrate it into the side window, plugging the remaining hole with an aluminium cap (badge, motif, whatever) having "Superb" written on it. As I understand, @mrblister would like to install a 2007 wing on a 2006 car, which would not imply in fact any mods...as it is exactly the same wing. I would rather worry about the paint job and all the plastics fittings of the wheel plastic arch... Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  3. Sure thing, glad I could help. Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  4. I can confirm that the 2007 model has in place of the former side repeater of the 2006 model a small "Superb" badge to replace it, since the repeater was integrated into the mirror in 2007. As long as they did this, the wings should be the same. Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  5. The price is indeed crazy... I paid here at the local stealer 10 £ for the OEM version, that is quite a difference... I didn't look closely at it, maybe they gave me the Meyle, anyways no leaks so I am happy with it. Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  6. Nice... Sometimes complicated problems have simple solutions, glad to hear that changing the "T" helped. BTW, how much was it? As for my cold starts, the positive temperatures we had the last days didn't allow an honest evaluation (smooth starts @ 3 deg C), but winter is not over yet... Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  7. I used only HEPU G12 for refill/change (red) - from spare parts dealers, but I know that from the main stealer you can get only the purple ones, OEM (>G12+). Other brands didn't try/wasn't interested...
  8. Starting with G12+, the stuff is purple and backwards compatible with G12 as well as miscible with it. Maybe they had some G12 left over and they used that after the pump change... Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  9. Geez, what a mess... [emoji15] Fingers crossed fitting the new parts will fix it [emoji120]
  10. Water (coolant) temperature. That is why, when the engine is already warm, the GP light goes off so quick, even if it is still cold outside (short stops)... The "up to 3 minutes " what I mentioned in my earlier post consists of both stages, the periods mentioned by you are only the initial stage. Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  11. At 184 bhp should be the diesel... Nice wheels, I have drive-tested one myself and it's pretty quick...
  12. The windscreens are different depending on the presence of rain sensor on the car and the gel pad usually comes together with the new windscreen. I remember each time I changed mine they asked me about this. Might be that oh_superb is right: sometimes if the flicker is at the extreme right position, the wipers act crazy - I also keep it in the middle and is working like a charm...
  13. Don't mention it... I didn't realize it was a misspell with the Fish Box, since the water ingress is the usual nightmare of almost any Mark I owner Last time when I had diesel on the brim of the fuel filter I inspected the "T" and found it had a hairline crack in it which was causing the dripping... A new one was ~ 10 GBP at the local stealer, so for that kind of money would be a cheap peace of mind; The part code was 057 127 247 J, so if I were you I would buy it on impulse... Especially if you don't have fuel in your filter This morning again positive temperatures here (3 deg C), starting was impressively smooth, but I will not fool myself, the real test is yet to come if we get again minus17 (as 3 weeks ago)... bring it
  14. I actually hear also a second click, at the moment when the rpm drops back at idle, after starting at a higher value than 800 - might be the relay's command to finnish the second stage of glowing (cold running aid)... GP's relay is indeed the 202, located in the area above the pedals, accessible taking the panel out (I guess this is the fish box, as per the pond which might form below... :( )
  15. Between the rear view mirror's suction cup and glass of the windscreen
  16. My "click" happens quite shortly after the GP light goes off, few seconds after in fact (should be the GP relay)... AFAIK the glowing happens in the 2 stages: initial powerful glow to start the engine and after starting - post-glow, at a lower state to keep noise and emissions low (GP's stay on for up to 3 minutes, depending on the temperature)... Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  17. A commonly reported cause for the inconsistent glow time (also related to outside temperature) is the failure of the G62 coolant temperature sensor. If you have a VCDS, you can check the difference between the temperature shown in the instrument cluster and the one in measuring blocks. Higher than 5 deg C difference means the sensor should be changed, lots of people had this issue on our local VW forums... @dV6 - Just when I was about to post the above, yours just popped up
  18. Hi, Re 2T oil treatment, I am using the Mobil Extra 2T since almost 3 years and 40 k km as a preemptive measure recommended by the Bosch specialist and read few materials which praised it...I wouldn't say it's too expensive, since I can get 1 bottle of 1L for ~ 4 quid and will last for ~ 4 fill-ups (roughly 2 quid/month for my peace of mind is not that much)...The drawback is to remember to pour it in at every fill, especially if you are in a hurry - carrying it around is simple, I always have 2 bottles stowed in the trunk Re nozzles, sorry m8, I have no idea on the size as I didn't research the subject, apart from hearing about fitting oversized ones as part of higher stage tuning projects... I understand the logic behind the spray pattern over time, but wouldn't be on the safe side to stay with the original size, in order to avoid further complications? Depending on how much longer you would like to keep the car, it might worth at least checking them by the Bosch specialist. Re filters, the last 2 I changed were Mahle, previously I have used only Mann, but for whatever reason I cannot find it anymore on the local market. I don't think that there is any difference in quality between the 2, but I don't like coincidences so I think I will change the fuel filter soon as well with either VAG or Mann if I can find one... Good luck with your endeavours and please do report on your findings, I will do the same... Cheers,
  19. @oh_superb: Speaking about additives, I am using the 2 stroke oil mix in 1:250 ratio, as recommended (off the record) by the Bosch pump specialist, after fixing my VP44 hydraulics which failed due to the low lubricity of the Euro5 diesel fuel; but this has nothing to do with these symptoms, as the ratio is low and this would the 3rd winter using it and first time with the symptoms; On other forums I read that changing the o-rings of the "Tee" valve on top of the fuel filter might help against false air intake... I might check that as well and keep you posted on the progress. @dV6: my engine is the BDG, but I thought all the 2,5 with VP44 are without the lift pump...as I said, not sure about it, just that mine doesn't have it. Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  20. As far as I know (please don't stone me if I'm wrong [emoji15]), the 2,5 tdi doesn't have a lift/tank pump... But could still be an issue of air in the system from several points along the way. Mine started smooth this morning (no shakes, maybe a slight idle cough for 1-2 secs), but on the other hand today was not as cold as usual (4 deg C), so I'm waiting for some minus to see if the diesel made any difference... Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  21. In my case, the GPs were the original ones, 7 years old (130 k km)... I retrofitted the pump's hydraulics some 40 k km ago and not had any issues since. I do remember that before it failed, the tell-tale signs (shakes and hiccups), were happening at idle as well as under load, as opposed to now. At least I hope I can rule out the IP as cause for the rough cold starts, since except for the first 3-4 seconds, running is smooth. I will also follow up on the last tank fill and see if the improvement will last. Otherwise, it's back to the drawing board... Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  22. Funny thing, although I have changed 4 out of 6 GPs, after filling the tank with winter super diesel, I got smoother cold starts... Maybe the GPs are not the main or were not the sole culprit for the shaky cold starts? Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  23. Thanks for your comprehensive answer dV6, I suspected the same on the GPs behaviour over time. As for the real reason behind the mechanic's choice not to change all of them (I bought 6 so I do have 2 spares now) I think you are spot on, since the remaining ones are both mentioned by you(intake and turbo)... I don't think it was lack of tools on his side(he has a very well endowed service shack) , rather it was a pretty busy period at his service and he didn't want any complications that day...I will insist on changing the other 2 as well on first opportunity. Have a great Christmas and a Happy new year guys! Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  24. Hi guys, question on topic: I was arguing with my indy mechanic whether replacing only 4 out of 6 GPs, considering the remaining 2 were still working (I was in favor of changing all in one step). Was it a bad call from his side? Do the GPs work on the on/off principle or degrade over time? Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
  25. Just go one more click up and it should operate intermittent. Trimis de pe al meu D5503 folosind Tapatalk
