Still haven't had the car back yet but the Recaros turned up Really impressed with the quality of these and how light they are, sat in them a few times before but i can appreciate why they are so expensive now. Just waiting for the car now, I've booked Brands Hatch for April 30th so that'll be a good test before the Ring trip

Don't really know the full details but they were sent off for testing by Narco and he said all four would need replacing

Well all four injectors were naff so that's another rather large bill :( Should be done for Tuesday 20th now though In a way I'm glad the issue was easy to find but it's a little annoying that it's now costing me so much. I've gone for a new set of injectors with new 80% Firad nozzles, Narco advised 80's over 120's if i didn't want excessive smoke.

Car is now at Narco, unfortunately the car has a missfire type issue when he turned the boost up. Thinking potentially the injector harness or the actual injectors themselves but I've just left it there and asked them to sort it for me. Hopefully it wont take too long :( Good news though that the Colt cam went in all fine with new cambelt, waterpump, lifters and bearings etc

I was always under the impression that either were perfectly fine, as the 507 was just the newer version

Exhaust hopefully being sorted on Saturday and then i guess i should book it in for cam fitment and mapping Hoping there aren't any issues as Nurburgring has been booked for May for a long time now

Yes I tried white and green and found both did really well but green cut slightly more but still finished just as good for me

I found green hex logic was good for my paint but that wasn't too bad when i last machined it

Shifter was developed for the fabia with my work as i knew there aren't any available as well as the clutch line. Let me know if you're after either of them

So braided brake lines, braided clutch line and 4H-Tech shortshifter went on recently. Also fitted the purple powerflex dogbone bush and the car feels awesome now. Much tighter and willing to go after changing the bush. The shifter also feels brilliant, third is definitely shortened the most, almost feels like it's not even in gear haha Tinted plates and a new number plate plinth on as well since it was damaged during recovery from France. Oh and I gave it a good clean finally, last wash was June 15th :( On the hunt for Recaro Pole Positions if anyone knows of a set for sale... P.S - May have got an uprated cam finally... maybe

Megs microfiber pads are always recommended. Personally i've not used them but i have used CarPro ones that i thought were awesome

That's the reply i hated reading when i got my first car, BUT, it's 100% true. Save the money that you want to spend on that exhaust and put it toward a better car in a couple of years.

Microfiber would be a good choice here tbh, if you've got the options then just try them and see what works best

I make HEL lines every day, can you post an image of your lines as the image on the HEL site is just generic

Only things left to do now are polybushes and the exhaust I think oh and I need to actually wire in the senders that I’ve got now. Once it’s all sorted I’ll book mapping but I’m still contemplating a cam that my friend has for sale...

I was quite surprised when i saw it was gone, only a year and a half old and the cars been sat for about 6 months :(

Nearing 500 miles now, fuel economy is awful, struggling to get over 38 on a motorway drive, average since the engine went in is 29 i think but I wouldn't say i've been driving it very economically The hot start issue hasn't happened since but I don't actually remember how many times i've tried a hot start as I only really drive to work and leave it till home time. Car seems to go into limp mode if i use cruise control, only when i start to go back up a hill, even a small one. Assume this will be sorted when it's mapped... Other than that the car drives fine, just need to sort out all the little bodges i made to get it running. Exhaust rattle is starting to hurt my brain if i'm honest. Had a couple little races on private land and I'm 100% sure it's running far less than what it should be, a friends diesel astra van with hybrid running 235 BHP wasn't far off me even with 5 wheels and a bunch of tyres in the back of it. Really need to fix the boost gauge and see what the car is actually doing really. Came back home and noticed my exhaust tip had done a bit of a runner.... Spoke to Piper and they sent a replacement out on friday with saturday delivery so I have no complaints really, went for the 3" twin tip this time instead of the 2.5" twin.
