Did this job on our Fabia estate last summer Jack up drivers side rear wheel and remove wheel - use axle stands or chocks to support as you will be working in the wheel arch Wheel arch liner is held on with 8 or so small torx screws - remove the upper ones first and the lowest ones last as its easier that way - it takes a bit of wriggling to remove but its easy enough The evap filter is held in by one bolt at the bottom - remove this and then slide it down the bracket that holds the top part in place and then remove the clips holding the two pipes in place Refit pipes to new one then refit it into bracket and replace bolt Refitting liner can be a bit awkward but goes back ok with a bit of wriggling Took me around 45 minutes to do without rushing - best of luck

I would take off the charcoal cartridge and weigh it before I start changing other parts which may not be needed - as I said in the earlier post my nearest main dealer had 3 in stock which shows it must be a common issue, the mechanic at the main dealer told me this is the first thing they do when this fault code is showing Our canister weighed 1200grammes -(new one was 900grammes) changing it solved the problem as the fuel contamination reduces the flow which is picked up by the EVAP sensor and then throws up the fault code That was 6 months ago - no problems since

Had exactly this fault on our fabia mk3 (2021 Monte Carlo) a few months ago - changed the charcoal canister and all been good since It is possible to tell if it is the canister which gets contaminated with fuel if you overfill the tank by weighing it - a new one weighs 900grammes - if the one fitted weighs more than 1000g it will need replacing It is situated behind the drivers side rear wheel arch liner and once you remove that ( and the wheel) the canister is clearly visible and is held on by just one bolt and 2 clip on pipes New one was £88 from main dealer - they had 3 in stock so seems to be a common issue

There is an entire grill with black surround on eBay for £26 - maybe consider changing the whole thing?

Plenty of spare wheels and jack kits on e bay as those from a VWs polo will also fit a mk 3 fabia

There are at least 3 full sets of mk3 Monte Carlo seats on eBay at the moment if that helps
