Hi

I started on my quest to dechrome my mk3 facelift and have hit a wall. I’m looking for the trim for the front grill surround in black. I know u can go oem but I think it’s ridiculous to pay £150+ for a relatively small piece of plastic trim.

I bought one off eBay but it was incorrectly described as the facelift version. All other aftermarket sources I can find seem to be out of stock.

Any idea on cost to wrap just that part in situ? It looks like it would be nearly impossible to remove in one piece to paint it.

Any ideas?

There is an entire grill with black surround on eBay for £26 - maybe consider changing the whole thing?
