  1. That's what I thought, it was buildwas near telford, road was closed off for a good while
  2. Yeah it felt worse inside than it looks from the outside, will not buy a car with less than 4star NCAP after seeing this, It came up with a strange error and appeared to not have posted, hence why I did it again once or twice
  3. An elderly lady, dunno what happened fire service had to chop her door off and she went off in an ambulance, Insurance company annoyed me, more interested in getting me through to solicitors for a claim than sorting my claim and getting my courtesy car
  4. Ah no worries fella, Yeah seeing a car heading for you with no where to go is scary, as is airbags in your face, got as far over to the barrier trying to avoid it but no escape, and the roof is linked so think it's proper broken
  5. Driving along and a fabia 2 veered diagonally into us head on, reckon combined speed was 70 ish, All ok baby was in the back so he was biggest concern, car seat did it's job well though, few scraps on limbs and broken pair of glasses, had to climb out of the window to get out so I could check he was ok
  6. Whoops bad day followed by epic post fail Anyway the result of someone veering into your side of the road from the opposite direction
  7. Only 6 miles each way on my push bike. Saturday my commute is 110miles each way and costs between £25-30 in diesel
  8. I was worried over nothing, could have fit a 50" no probs. The boxes are alot smaller since the last time I bought a tv
  9. This one is an Led so should be ok then hopefully. Lools like a trip upto argos after work for me
  10. Haha, I guess a 42" would keep the kids entertained im the back. Its an LG im looling at so guess the box may be huge
  11. Looking at a new Tv found one in argos. As im impatient id like to fetch it rather than wait for delivery. I imagine there normally in a bulky box wondering if anyone has managed to fit a new tv in the back woth seats folded fully down?
  12. As recommended Id check radiator too. Mine did exactly this started to loose more and more water, very difficult to see leak in bottom corner of rad. Changed it and no problems since
  13. Thanks mate, I didn't think it should be a problem driving it, but that light on the dash is rather off putting. Guess it's easiest to swap plugs first and go from there.
  14. Any help apprieciated. Eml light came on this afternoon. Read the code and it's 17504 glow plug module 1electrical malfunction. I've had a search but not really found anything relating to that specific fault code. Wondering if it a glow plug I need to change or wiring issue. Had a look at the connectors I could see and it seems all intact. Car seems to be driving fine, but I need to do 200 odd miles tomorrow so I'm a little worried. Cheers Andy
  15. I got one from a parts place that was not a skoda part, it looked identical and seems fine, and to be honest I don't think the genuine rad is worth the extra as it the original doesn't last very long. I did use some of that white plumbing tape on the sensor to make sure of a seal.
  16. I spent a long time looking at remaps, and i didn't want to spend the money on some of the more expensive ones, although companies like shark seem highly recommend. In the end I went for a remap off Faboka on here and haven't looked back. His well recommended on here and cheapest that I have found.
  17. When I got my policy, I went for a modified one before I had modded the car, I said I would be remapping and they said a percentage increase. As far as I'm concerned most BLT engined fabias are running 145-150bhp and there is no way my car is now 25% more powerful. Maybe your insurance company is a bit funny and you could be better going with a company that specialises in modified policy's. When I rang them up they were very helpful and answered questions I had. I'd imagine trouble might start over the 25% thing if you were going hybrid turbo etc for mega power
  18. Yeah I did it in the end, would not like to do it ever again put it that way.
  19. Ive not tried the high torque map either yet, think I might have to though
  20. Another vote for faboka from me.Yeah his maps are fully custom plus he can add extra bits into his map, I had a dual map which is switchable with vcds there is a safe torque map and a max torque map, egr software removed so the egr doesn't open now, which stops clogging up your intake but for me its nice cause you dont get the stutter with the blt engine then. Plus he can add launch control and left foot braking
  21. Just full hand bandages would have done. What a horrible job, a lot more difficult that when I did the rad on my 106 years ago.
  22. So thursday im going to be changing the radiator on the vrs as its developed a drinking habit lately. I know I need to remove the bumper just wondered if there were any other handy hints as it all looks abit compact in the engine bay and the biggest job I've done on the furby so far is a service.
  23. When I looked at bikes around that budget some of the ones with 105 components on had other some quite low spec bits on so I chose one with shimano tiagra groupset. As a beginner's bike I dont think you can go to wrong with it. My dad receently bought a merckx with full tiagra, the model was a year behind and it was £700.
  24. Seriously I was just after opinions on if there would be any point bothering, if I would get any extra part exchange value by selling them separately. In no way is this an attempt to sell them and I would happily pay the £12 to become a member if I decided to advertise them. People seem a bit pessimistic on here today
