  1. Thanks for the advice Stu. Did the P-Flo come with the maf section heatshield?
  2. Apologies for the thread resurrection but better that than starting a new topic on the same old stuff. Si, after some relentless searching you keep coming up as someone running the Autotech kit. I'm due to finally go stage 1 in February, but as I know from experience that doesn't last long before more is wanted/needed/essential. I've got an opportunity to pick one of these kits up for cheaper than the already reasonable 145 so would value your honest opinion on the kit itself. Is it easy to install!? Is it worth paying the 49 quid extra for a p-flo?! Thanks in advance!
  3. Wouldn't you be better trying a breakers yard or an online breaking site?! Would be cheaper than buying it new
  4. Dreamscience in Hull will be the best place to take it for a remap/mods. They did all the work on my Focus ST. Fantastic guys and they really know their way around a Ford engine. Can't recommend them enough
  5. Following advice from Autotechnica in Hull I purchased the revision D (piston type) diverter valve. There's lots of threads on here and other VAG related forums with conflicting information as to which revision to get. In the end I decided just to call the people who work on my car and asked for their opinion. FYI I found it on eBay for £28 delivered. Item number 231361595594.
  6. Thanks for that link mate. Works perfectly. Paid to have it delivered as I think it'll nearly cost me 2.99 to get across town in this traffic! Great spot!!
  7. The power button will be for the auto dimming feature. My guess is that you'll notice it more at night than during the day....
  8. Didn't know there was one in York else I'd have gone there! Pays to check first!! Ah well, road trip to Mansfield!
  9. Did the MK3 come with the 1.8T? I had a MK4 GTi T for ages. Hands down the most reliable car I've ever owned. Performance quite average but decent enough to have some fun whilst returning reasonable fuel economy.
  10. For sale is the Octavia 2 vrs front spoiler set for the pre facelift found here at superskoda http://www.superskoda.com/octavia-ii/front-bumpers/skoda-octavia-ii-rs-real-carbon-fibre-front-spoiler-set-ki-r They've never been fitted to the vehicle although one has some adhesive on as I was going to do it before realising that I may not have the capability to do it effectively. There are a couple of minor areas of damage that will not be visible when fitted to the car. Genuine carbon fibre. £50 ono posted to any UK (ONLY) address.
  11. Just booked in for a Shark remap on 2nd February! Took advantage of the 25% off. At 299 it represents, for me anyway, the proverbial bargain!!
  12. Unfortunately not mate, it's Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
  13. Yes they're RS6 replicas. The centre caps need changing out for Skoda ones eventually but I'm in no great rush to get that done as you can barely see the 4 circles.
  14. Sports personality of the year. An award recognising sporting excellence over the calendar year. His potentially controversial tax scheme has nothing to do with what he achieved in his sport over the past year.
  15. I decided to go with Adrian Flux this year. Great price and with some decent benefits as standard. Really helpful on the phone as well and made sure they beat my renewal quote. The receptionists that take the initial call before putting you through are a little rude but all in all excellent service!
  16. I'll start a proper project thread up soon but for now I'd just like some thoughts on the new rims I've put on the Octavia. They fill the arch so much better than the OEM Zeniths did.
  17. Bump. Anyone interested before I begrudgingly put them on eBay?
  18. Edited post as the original would have been of no use to you. I think you need a micro SD in both cases. Just google it and pick one up that has decent ratings on Amazon.
  19. Thanks everyone for the feedback so far. I think realistically bluefin can be ruled out. Of the other two ultimately the Shark seems to offer much better value for money being almost 200 cheaper in the first instance.
  20. That looks almost sexual!! Ford are on to something good with that.
  21. I'm looking for some advice from owners that currently have their tfsi remapped with either of the 3 companies I've listed above. They all come with their obvious pros and cons, Bluefin and Shark are significantly cheaper but I have a Revo dealer in the quite excellent Autotechnica just a few miles away. This would obviously be much more practical in terms of any software issues. Shark isn't a million miles away and the Bluefin is obviously done yourself. Having come from a remapped Focus ST I avoided Revo, tried Bluefin but wasn't overly sold once I'd opted for my local tuner which in my opinion was vastly superior to the Bluefin. I know there are various offers on at the moment but unfortunately it's something that will have to wait until the new year. Shark obviously offer a permanent 10% to freedom members. Any feedback on experiences with each map would be greatly appreciated. Rich
  22. These should be coming off at the weekend providing the weather is half decent.
