  1. For sale is a set of 4 17" Zenith alloy wheels that will be removed from my Octavia 2 vrs at some point next week. They are all in really good condition, there is the odd kerbing mark but all are straight and have no buckles or cracks. There is a tiny bit of bubbling around the valves however all tyres hold air and do not leak. The tyres are currently legal but are budget branded. I'll be able to get a better estimate of tread depth once they are off the car although the advisory on my MOT in September was that the rear ones have worn unevenly and so the suggestion would be to change at some point. Collection only from Hull. Back wheels are really dirty and need a decent clean.... I'll update some better pics when I've washed the car. I'm looking for around £225 ono
  2. Lovely wheels. Unfortunately with a service looming I can't justify them at the mo. Shouldn't be around long though! GLWS
  3. Controversial comment for a Skoda forum but I'd be going for the GTD all day long!!
  4. Price is negotiable. Selling on behalf of a colleague so any offers invited...
  5. What would the difference between this and an aftermarket downpipe and decat be?
  6. For sale is the cherished registration H9 VRS that my friend had on his Octavia 1 VRS before moving on to a new vehicle where the number plate is no longer appropriate. All fees have been paid on the plate. This does look really good on all Skoda VRS models, enhancing the look of the vehicle considerably. £500 (includes new numberplates)
  7. Have a look on Wisebuyers. That should give some indication.
  8. I have a spare grille still in chrome? Somewhere in the depths of my shed!
  9. I have the standard silver 17" Zeniths. Condition is excellent. Tyres are unfortunately a budget brand however it did just sail through its mot so they're good on that front...
  10. Huge android fan but my friend showed me his iPhone 6 today. Very very nice. Screen is incredible. Wouldn't make me change back but it's certainly getting closer!!
  11. Good afternoon, I'm looking at potentially parting company with my 2006 '06' Skoda Octavia VRS. The only reason for this is since February I have doubled my daily commute and my visits to the petrol station are getting far more frequent. A diesel, or something a little less prone to helping BP post huge profits, is becoming a necessity. I've checked wisebuyer and the potential prices range from mid to late 3k but similar ones on autotrader are priced a tad higher. I'll post pictures when home and update the post accordingly. Spec is as follows 2006 '06' registered (currently on a private plate which would not be included) in Skoda race blue. Has covered 106k but has full service history. In good condition all round with usual chips and a couple of very minor supermarket dings, all relative to the age of the car. Mostly unmodified with the exception of facelift rear lights, badges, aerial and 35mm Pi lowering springs. Front grille surround is gloss black and the new skoda badges are in place front and rear. Engine is unabused and standard. 17" Zenith alloy wheels, stream stereo system and old style heater controls. A/C was regassed in December. Xenon headlights fitted as standard. MOT until September 2015 and tax until March 2015. As mentioned above, not really wanting to sell however if I spend much more at BP I'll soon be offered shares! Thanks for your help in advance
  12. Another vote for the pi lowering springs. Ok so you compromise a little bit of comfort over uneven road surfaces but the handling difference is incredible for such a small price. £105 well spent as far as I'm concerned!
  13. Shame I haven't got the funds for them mate as I want to swap my 17" Zeniths for the 18s!
  14. Cheers Si. A job for next weekend if dry then!
  15. Finally found someone who's done it! How difficult was the adhesive underneath to remove? Did you use anything in particular?
  16. Yeah massive + 1 for Autotechnica. Honest and very reasonably priced. Ricci do a decent job but I've found them more expensive and less personal which for me is pretty important.
  17. Cheers guys. That's the response I expected to be honest but thought I'd ask on the off chance I'd stumbled across something decent! Thanks again for the responses.
  18. Good afternoon, Does anyone have one of these downpipe/decat items fitted to their car? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=380861796775 AUD A3 VW GOLF 2.0T TURBO 3" STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST DECAT DOWNPIPE DE CAT Seems well priced at 149.99 and that usually means it's cheap for a reason. I know that in theory it's just some stainless steel tube but compared to other brands it's significantly cheaper. If anyone has fitted one in the past your input is most welcome! Rich
  19. The seller of the eBay link above has leatherette ones in as well. Slightly more expensive but look half decent. Think I'll order one at the end of the month!
  20. Probably leaky valves. Likely the last time the tyres were changed the old valves were put back on.
  21. Looking at his other posts they've come off a 61 plate so I'm assuming the answer to both is yes.
