    Oil Filters - Installed hand tight and a year later they feel like they've been tightened by a silverback. Whats up with that?!

      Try to loosen when cold then retighten , then go for a run , then loosen to drop oil , heat will have made it tighter

      This was stone cold. Civic exhaust is nicely placed for burning your arms when doing a filter so I decided it was better cold :) Don't have this issue on the Fabia, filters last 3-6 months and don't get so tight, despite doing the same miles in 6months as the Civic does annually.
