  1. Congrats! Why not 4x4 ? 3 months from order to delivery is OK
  2. Mr Grump, I would save on both the Canton and the Amundsen, and use the funds to go for the DSG instead:) Amundsen for me is only looks - my garmin, my samsung galaxy and the bolero on my car together cost half as much as the Amundsen. And I can use my mobile and my garmin OUTSIDE of the car as well if I need navigation. Bolero and standard speakers are just right for most people
  3. The warranty is worth it. Anytime, anyhow. This is the main reason to buy brand new, as opposed to used car IMO.
  4. Very good looking The VRS estate really makes Audis look modest:) congrats!!
  5. ThePlumber, thanks mate! No, mine are not silver. These are the black decals, but they look sort of dark grey on my denim blue car:) However I have fitted a silver rear bumber protector. I have made a close shot if you want to see both
  6. And here's mine with the RRP on the first day (two days ago). So far it feels sublime. After a few hundred kilometers will give more feedback and pics of course
  7. Nobrakes you are correct, I found this one in a service manual for the old 1.8 TFSI 160hp engine, to which you refer. I suppose it is expected then to have it on the new 1.8 TSI 180hp Cooling circuit This cooling circuit operates under the cross-flow principle. The coolant flows from the radiator to the coolant pump module, which drives it to the inside of the engine block. Like in other overboosted petrol engines, the circuit has an electrical pump, V51, for coolant post-circulation. This pump protects the turbocharger, after stopping the engine, against excess heating up after being under intense loads and thus prevents the oil accumulated in the blower fan shaft from carbonizing. The electrical pump is activated by the engine control unit for a maximum of 15 minutes from the moment of switching off the ignition. During this period of activation, the pump drives the coolant from the radiator to the turbocharger, in the opposite direction.
  8. To be honest one of the cars I have considered the most was exactly a Highline 4M Passat Estate. I test drove a 4M DSG TDI-CR 170 estate and it did feel more premium inside than the new Octy, despite being old-gen now. I liked it a lot actually! I couldn't justify the space and the price though, as the Octy III is more spacious with a bigger boot AND a more compact car length. And the price - oh my, the equivalent Passat is about EUR 7k more expensive. Same arguments for the Allttrack
  9. Same here, noticed it exactly the first time I parked. Happened today as well, so I hope it is normal, but it'd be good if somebody had explanation for it...
  10. Collected mine tonight! Am I the first from BW51? Will give feedback and pics in a soon I hope Those of you collecting these days, I symphatize, the last few days were complete terror
  11. Cheerz mate and thanks for the review! Enjoy countless miles in your VRS Did you get a discount on the Amundsen, or this is the listed price ? We have to pay approx. EUR 1800 for the Amundsen here, which is more or less double :/
  12. I went to the dealer to sign the papers and see the car on Friday. So I'm still waiting for registration and stuff. Also I've some accesories to be fitted but I surely hope they can do it within the week!
  13. Yep, it seems that behind the shiny dealership the new arrivals are being accomodated in the fields of misery The Plumber, thanks mate, I'm following on yours as well. Fingers crossed to have it godspeed by the end of the month We will catch at least part of the winter!
  14. My Octy 3 has arrived on 10.01.14, which is exactly3 months after order on 10.10.13. Currently at the dealer, went to have a look at it yesterday and I can't wait for registration Hopefully next week, 1.8 TSI 4x4 estate with rough road package
  15. Ok so the three of us (our BW51 new cars at least) are racing for delivery to the dealer this week
  16. Baz555 did it arrive as promised? Mine is underway, called the dealer today and they expect arrival within the next two days.
  17. Congratulations mate! Nice spec Those wheels look very good. I would have chosen them, had I not gone for the rough road package. And again and again i dare to say the white color is probably the best looking. Mm and the chrome line looks good too. Damn it, can't wait !!
  18. As an update, today I received feedback from the dealer about the official accessory child seat. They were unable to tell me the exact brand/manufacturer, but they assured me it is made in Germany. And therefore the price is EUR 650 (!!!) Anyway, obviously I am not buying a child seat at this price So please share what you are using on your Octy 3... I am looking for Group I child seat (9 - 18kg). Thanks!
  19. Well, We use our Maxi Cosi Pearl seat freely in my wife's Toyota Auris, but we sometimes we had trouble with the full decline position in my Octy Mk2 (sold last week!) - because the top of the child seat was blocked by the back seat. In these cases we had to extend to full lenght the ISOFIX connectors. While waiting for the Octy3 to arrive, I was thinking of buying a second seat just for convenience and have naturally started looking for one. Browsing through Amazon and reading reviews I see many people have the same problem as we did OR their seats just don't have a proper decline position. So I was thinking has anyone tried the official accessory child seats. Surely if it is an official accessory it should have the same issues? And namely this one from the catalogue: DDA 000 006? Do you know what is the brand, i.e. Britax, Maxi Cosi, Recaro etc? http://www.skoda-auto.bg/aftersales/Documents/Octavia_Accessories_layout_7_ENG.PDF Alternatively if you know or have tried another seat that can properly decline in an Octy3 please share your opinions - will be highly appreciated Our Octy3 estate shall be here by mid-January so I plan to have a new seat in place by then.
  20. At last, somebody to post a photo of the rough road package Can you please show some more? The first two photos are in the dealership it seems and it looks higher off the ground due to the transportation fittings. The third photo is actually normal and it doesn't seem higher than the standard? BTW you should fit rear mud-flaps IMO, the estate looks somehow incomplete this way
  21. Hey, congrats on the tasty order ! However, £500 only ?! Here they request approx. 10%...
