  1. the top glove box comes off easily, I've taken some pictures in case anyone needs to change the bulb in the glove box, first undo these two screws then pull the whole section upwards and you have got access to the light fitting unfortunately it doesn't help me as I still cant get the lower lid off!
  2. these pictures show the inside of the glove box and the pins on the lid that hold it in place but I cant work out how it all opens up
  3. The Alhambra is actually a nice car if you can cope with image, we have got a 184 BHP SE LUX and its fast for an MPV and very comfortable as well we now have the choice of spreading 3 kids out to stop them fighting or put them all in the middle and have a huge boot. another thing is that the built in pop up child seats are brilliant and they still have the option of isofix for a baby seat.
  4. Does anyone know how to remove and replace the lower glove box lid? I damaged mine carrying something to large for the car, I got hold of a replacement off eBay but I cant work out how it all comes apart any details and pictures gratefully received.
  5. for sale the DTUK tuning box I had on my 140bhp Yeti this is the old style box with the jumper inside you move to change the mapping in good condition and DTUK will change the maps for a small sum if you don't like them... £200 delivered - this is cheap as I want to sell it quickly now only £100
  6. facia needed if upgrading from Bolero to Columbus for sale as the Yeti is now owned by my mum and I decided she didn't need a Columbus! cost new about £30 £10 collected or £15 posted Columbus already sold separately
  7. You need the switched live from the light switch and the neutral and earth from the mains feed, the normal way to do what you want is to connect inside the original light fitting but to be honest it does sound like you need an electrician.....
  8. Go for it, I nearly gave up on them because I was struggling with putting them in, it would sometimes take an hour to get them in. I can now put them in in seconds and I really hate it when I have to wear glasses. If you can afford them go for daily disposables as it's a whole lot less trouble than the ones you have to clean
  9. I think some people must have jumped out the windows I think I would if I was stuck in a train with that lot
  10. we have got an Alhambra SE Lux, actually a very nice car and with the 184 bhp engine quite fast enough as well. the leather seats also make cleaning the car easier with small kids.... another thing we have got the black and brown leather inside and it really lifts the cabin, much better than solid black everywhere! I guess the only downside is the image or lack of it.
  11. yes good choice, not bad quality and fairly slim fit
  12. can a mod pin this? probably the most useful topic for any VRS owner as it seems to be a lot more common than the oil burning
  13. how old are the spark plugs? if they have done 20,000 miles you need new ones, I have had this on my car and I get them changed every service actually I had the same symptoms last week but after turning the engine off and on again it was fine and as its going in for a service tomorrow i didn't bother doing anything about it. new plugs going in tomorrow!
  14. Please don't worry everyone, I've got no intention of replying I just thought you might all find it amusing!
  15. I don't think you'll find many people on here recommending a Ford.... I had a Yeti and if it hadn't got to small I would have kept it for another year or two, very spacious for the size and nice to drive as well, it's just the back seat can't really get 3 people in and certainly not 3 kids seats
  16. I think I'll just ignore him, he might not understand the thing I would like to call him

  18. I tried supermarket fuel without knowing once, I lend a van to someone and they kindly returned it full of fuel, the only problem was that when I drove it the next day it was running really roughly so I asked him what he had done to it and was told that all he had done was drive it and fill up with Sainsbury's diesel. I filled up the next tank with BP ultimate and it was as good as new again. I haven't used supermarket diesel since.
