Had a Nextbase 422gw dashcam plus rear cam fitted yesterday. Didn’t realise I needed a 3U micro sim so I must get one. seems like a nice set up and really neat and tidy. delighted that ‘park mode’ works off the cams internal battery and not the car battery. PS. The hardwire kit was also Nextbase 👍

I agree regarding tyres. But for me the (sometimes) rattling from the parcel shelf is enough to go loopy.

It’s okay, I found the answer online. that answer being no as the kit has a voltage meter.

I’m about to buy a Nextbase dash cam plus hardwire kit. My question is, once the engine is off and the car is in ‘parked’ mode, will this in any way affect the battery?

Edit. I also bought a Amundsen SD card for my Sportline. I should have checked properly as I have a Bolero. 🙄 I bought it out of lockdown boredom as I have all that I need in CarPlay.

Replaced the bulbs in the boot for LED ones and Skoda caps for the valves. All quality products from AliExpress 😜

So, this little sh1te remerged today...warning came on 'faulty handbrake'. The electric switch for the handbrake was stuck in an upright position so I could see a tiny piece of the card and after a bit of wrestling I got it out! Lucky tbh!

I get all of that, but we are in a minority. One of the blokes I work with throws his eyes up to heaven when he hears me talking about the cleaning side of car care. same bloke has grass growing on the inside and some moss growing on the outside of his....I think it’s a bit of the countryside on wheels!!!

I've changed my mind again. I am not changing the alloys, honestly am, not, am, not, am, NOT!!!! I have yet another question.... I had the clockspring replaced under warranty, would the dealers have, for any reason, flashed the ECU when coding the new clockspring? I haven't had the chance to drive the car to notice any remap difference due to lockdown travel restrictions. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone replaced the chrome piece on the bottom of the flat bottomed steering wheel with a ‘Superb’ one from Superskoda? would like to get the metal footrest also but am anxious about fitting it myself!

Yes, Eibach springs plus Eibach spacers. Powder coated is a great shout, never thought of that! with all of that black going on, maybe a shiny silver for your callipers?

None taken 😉 Everyone I know has painted their callipers red. I just want to be different I suppose. Now, if I was to change alloys, which ones?🧐 I seem to be doing something wrong using the search function. I’m leaning towards black rims. But I think I may well be losing the plot 🤪 I have changed my mind four times in the past fortnight regarding replacement wheels. This is the white goddess 🤣🤣

There are loads of YT videos on both spray and brush painting of callipers. I have the axel stands etc but just don’t have the place (and in truth probably neither the patience) to do it myself.

I genuinely don’t know what type of paint was used. I got it done in a local panel beaters/Spraypainter when I saw they’d done the callipers on a white Ford Focus. I also asked them to get rid of the rust on the hubs.

How come, lockdown?? Yesterday had to travel to the dealers to get the clockspring replaced under warranty.
