  1. Nige you'll love it,on a different topic before you pick your VRS up get the dealership - motorline in Canterbury by any chance, to swop the FoG light over to the left, it's done via a Laptop Takes literally a Minute,Cut the hassle Out This side.
  2. Did'nt Bother to Check, have to have another go on Sunday Morning When it's quite See if i can get up to the manufacturer's claimed Top Speed and remember to Check the Data afterwards!!!. Nothing wrong with my driving style Not aggressive enough, nice to give the Audi,Merc and beemer Brigade a taste of their own medicine could'nt do it in the Superb (140bhp no Speed no go).
  3. Just thought i'd pass on my experiance of my blast down the Autobahn today, it was only a Short Run just a Few juctions up the A2 - WOW. Pick up is so smooth i only got to 132 Mph as it was pretty Busy and drivers from France and the Netherlands were causing Chaos as they pulled Out into the third lane causing Audi's and Mercs to Chuck their anchors Out and deploy parachutes, no probs for the Octy so stable under braking, biggest Problem was the noise, flipping heck you Lot in the UK are lucky you can only Drive at a max of 70 mph lol !!!. The chap's Face in the BMW 320 Estate was a picture as he begrudingly pulled into the middle lane to let me past he previously was flashing his Lights and indicating left in an effort to get a French plated Picasso Out the Way back into the middle lane ( he was sät a Maximum of 2 foot of The Picasso at 100 mph) yeah get Out the Way VRS coming through. So to sum up the VRS is stable, pretty fast, comfy, a good load lugger, a cracking Family car but chuffing Noisy at High Speed, am i glad i own One hell yeah,

  6. My Brother in Law had the Same experiance he's a Self employed builder ( done really well for himself over the years ) Popped into his local Merc dealership Sales people looked down their Noses at him, he was Wearing his work gear told them to go forth, Popped over the road to the Porsche dealership and brought himself a lovely 911 convertible.
  7. Welcome on Board, just thought i'd give you my two pence of advice on car choice. I have owned 2 superb's in both Power Set up's and various octavia's. As you have to Travel a fair old distance i do 680 Ish miles from Germany to Nottingham the abilities of the superb as a mile muncher come to the fore it's lovely and quite really comfy and Good on Fuel i'd still have a quarter of a tank left that's with blasting down the Autobahns aswell. The boot is plenty Big enough as we have a daft Great Dane who is massive he weighs in at 88 kilo's and he had no Problems Getting comfy in the boot had to turn the Music up to drown the snorring Out. The Octavia is another belting Motor i assume you will be After the Estate avoid the sportier Models and you will be Fine, i am füll of Aches After driving my New mk3 VRS Never got them in The superb.(Must be Getting old). If i Could be cheeky enough i would advise you to get the 170 bhp Superb in SE trim enough Kit onboard fast yet frugal. I dare Say i miss my old Superb especially When im travelling back to the UK. Best of luck in your search and a merry christmas

  11. I've had a couple of superb's and now i'm on my 4th VRS as a Long distance Cruiser the Superb is hard to beat. Get yourselfs a new Octy and When the mk3 Superb comes Out in 2015 Trade the VRS in for it , That will be SOME car.
  12. The boot Lid on my VRS is a very frisky Little so and so if you just gentle push it as the Wife does it tries to Blow the Windows Out and the pressure Wave is enough to rupture your eardrum - Wife now understands this as i demonstrated to her while she was sät at the wheel ( Hee Hee !!!!). She now assists it and lets go at the Last second.
  13. 15. I had ACC on my previous Superb's and i really miss it especially on the Long Drive from Bielefeld (Germany) to Calais Or Dunkirk. Funny enough Never got to use it much whilst in the UK (Handy for the Miles and Miles of 50mph avarage zones) Roads to congested Most of the time. When i Order my New One next Year hopefully it will be an Option.

  24. I'm in the Same Boat as you Guys i asked the Dealer (motorline Canterbury) to Square This away before i picked it up,on Collection it was assured it was done it turns Out it was't. Should of checked before i left !!!. Went to the main Dealer in Bielefeld who was'nt sure if it was a Laptop Or rewiring job Cars Booked in tomorrow, guess i'll find Out then. This has slightly soured my"new car experience" i think Skoda have made a boo boo with this issue. Do you reckon motorline would be willingless to reinburse me- i think not.
