I have black ones on the front trims, as for how easy it is.. I just not long fitted a set to the back of the other halves car and hardest part I found was getting thro the foam behind bumper apart from that I would say it was easy enough...

cant remember how long you get think it was 10 mins so if you swap it straight over then no need to worry, I replaced my stock stereo and never come across any issues, only thing I get is it flagging up on the vcds..

could be something simple, best thing to do it change the battery in fob and check the fuses... once you tried that you can rule it out and come back on here for bit more help
-
push in and twist is all there is to it, just make sure you DONT push the brake peddle down when fitting new one
-
mine done this too, stayed on when key removed and locked, I took out the fuse over night until I got chance to look at it, popped fuse back in and replaced switch next day and all back to normal

This is now sold

since fitting mine I have become aware of an issue with the alternator that I would have never known about.. there were no pop ups or warning lights, it was only when I noticed the camera was shutting down during the night on a regular basis that I took it to the garage and had them check over the battery and alternator..

before I say including postage I must point out that I have noticed a tiny small white mark on the screen and I have stuck up a pic so you can see it and a pic on a normal back ground when it not visible, I only noticed this because it was on a white back ground, any other colour it not there so not sure what it is, but this has only appeared since I rebooted it with windows 7.. I have also stuck a picture of the windows rating on and as you can see this has a very high score... ignore the wavy lines in the pictures it was just due from taking a picture of the screen

you should find the paint code on a sticker under the boot carpet...

I had garage do mine other year and they used a cheapo lasted a wee while but had same problem and swapped it over for a genuine one, I would start with that as it the cheaper option, I found if the temp goes up and down it most likely the sensor....
-
far as I remember once engine is heated up the sensor will always keep it on the 90 mark, even tho the engine might run hotter or colder, I also know that cheap replacement sensors usually cause more hassle than worth.. as most of the guys on here say buy cheap buy twice lol...
so if it was a cheap one likes off ebay it might be worth buying a genuine one and see how that goes

try giving it a thump beside the lock while pressing the fob at same time.. always worth a try before taking anything apart
