  1. speak to dark side developments they are diesel tunning experts they will help and advise you they are in barnsley yorks I travelled from Liverpool and wasn't dissapionted they also have a rolling road and will give you good advice
  2. lot of topics on diffs on this site was told to watch out on the corners it does pull you in to the corners but allows you to put the power down the best thing to do Is just as you turn in to the corner put your foot down and you feel the diff working as I said one of the best mods to do and it was done quickly no fuss or messing about worth the journey Liverpool/Barnsley if you can go for it corners wont be the same
  3. I.V just had a quaife + avr6 clutch and lightened fly wheel best mod you can do good fun just a question of choice
  4. HI hows the water leak problem any luck if you decide to buy another engine then make sure you can hear and see it running that way you know you wont have any problems when it is fitted good luck

HI the people who skimmed your head should be able to help with pressure testing .You should be able to detect leaks if you have the pink coolant in your system you should have a sticker by the radiater telling you how to do this I have one on my octy you might need a certain type of light .The other thing to check is put the pistons half way down the cylinders and check the cylinder walls for cracks .My wife has a Renault clio and because she only does short journeys the gunk (cheese) as we used to call it builds up if the oil is a creamy colour then the water is mixing with the oil (head gasket or cylinder head probs ) as a last resort you can buy leak detecter put it in your cooling system and look for the leaks good luck
  6. collected car from darkside developments after havin vr6 clutch and flywheel and a quaife diff fitted wasn,t dissapionted took the scenic route home what a difference it all make car is a lot smoother a lot more traction especially on corners well impressed well recommended thanks to the staff at darkside
  7. check the pad thickness if that is ok then check the master cylinder is it diesel or petrol if diesel may be the vacuum pump check also for leaks around the calipers seals etc sounds like the master cylinder seals are worn good luck
  8. HI its a breather hose for crank case fumes happened to me on my vrs about £40 from skoda I was getting exhaust+ petrol fumes after a long run and then you stop at lights + idle fumes would come into the car and clear when you start going

  12. HI has any one ever removed the air con pump permanently if so what belt did you use and how were the pipes sealed up
  13. decided to go a different route looking at a set of wossner forged pistons and connecting rods and a steel head gasket decided if I,m going to do this I may as well do it properly any help on injector ,fuel pump and regulater type would be appreciated thanks BARRY PS I have just bought a AUQ engine complete for this project
  14. hi yes it is lack of punctuation I have phoned the shark installer and also spoke to ben wardle at shark at Nottingham and all is sorted and hope fully we can move on
  15. didn,t say there was conflicting information from shark the conflicting information comes from all the different ways to get a stage 2 remap so get of your high horse
  16. HI thanks for your info any idea on what sort of price for a fuel pump and what sort of injectors keep coming across 380cc injectors are these adequate would I need a uprated fuel regulater any recommendations would be grateful BARRY
  17. HI been told that if my car is remapped to stage 2 then the standard injectors,fuelpump would not cope and the car would run to lean and the pistons would melt mods are as follows forgefmic,sportscat200pcsi,exhaust to match ,piperx air intake, k03s hybrid turbo dissapionted to say the least

  19. HI havin problems with shark at the moment disputen a remap lots of conflicting imformation about fitted hybrid turbo ,fmic,air intake,sports cat, and exhaust now been told I need a custom remap+ injectors+ fuel pump frustrating keep going with it thanks for your help
  20. HI thanks for your help the turbo is a k03 turbo dynamics they say its good for 300 bhp so I will have to find some injectors any suggestions they would be welcome it has also been mentioned that a up rated fuel pump would be needed so will have to start looking
  21. thanks for your help if you don't mind me asking do you know how much your injectors are having a few problems getting a stage 2 remap done all the hard work fmic,sportscat+exhaust uprated turbo.cold air intake guy just wont tune it to stage 2 says it needs a custom remap injectors would have to go directly to shark in nottingha.m
  22. check the clutch common on the vag cars for this to fail over time you will get some cold air but not a great deal that is a clue that the clutch has gone then you need a new pump you will also need the numbers of the back/end of the pump to get the correct part
  23. HI just a question for you you say you have a stage 2 shark remap what have you done to your car to get it up to that stage whant to go for a stage two my self any help would be appreciated thanks BARRY
