backs don't take long at all and its like light bulbs once one goes they all go I see your point, but I wouldn't be telling the insurance about 20 mm drop it was like that when I got here
-
why not go for eibach front and rears for £170 it will work out the same as two manufactures springs ive never had an eibach spring break on me no has my mate whos a mechanic it does lower it 20 mm but that's **** all really
-
yes, ****ing pointless. the temperature is still below 7 where i am and the summers give more grip, better ride and less noise compared to the winters its like a new car and no horrible thread block movement especially when its around 7 degrees or above waste of money imo

when i thought my spring had went at the weekend I was thinking, why the **** dont they make them yellow like my bikes. its near impossible to see a cracked spring thats compressed under load when painted black -

holy smokes batman, Saturday I was coming down the same road and developed similar problems!!!! got down to about 30 mph when of the A9 and I heard a similar sort of metal noise, but more tin like (it was at that point I knew it wasnt going to be expensive it wasnt a thud). then it became a constant noise a screech as I drove a long. I spent an hour on Saturday night under the car pushing heat shields checking for stones etc then I found the ****er. my dust sheild on the back disc had came loose (probably when I was getting new tyres fitted at the weekend the guy has bent it by resting the wheel on it and its popped out and became ****ed) it wouldn't re-seat back into place as the mounts had been torn to ****. No idea how long id been driving like that with music on it drowned it out. but good chance at least 50 miles. anyway got the shield cut off and the noise went. not saying that this is what your problem is but might be -

I get that argument I do but the amount of money I spend on tyres is ******* unreal 1 car 2 road bikes and 1 track bike I must spend 1500 a year on rubber **** adding winters to it
-
honestly id need to look to see what model, I looked at it and seen falkens and went could have been worse, summers nearly here. the ride was that bad on them when I went on to my summer tyres I looked down at the speedo and was doing 110 and it felt like 70 it was that more civilised they wobbled like **** as well above 90, braking was rubbish as well if we have a decent winter, not like the gay one we had this year ill stick them back on but honestly unless you DEPEND on your car for work and live 30 miles away in a rural area they aren't worth the money.
-
I get this every now and then I got out and my lights could been seen then ignored it, I still do it goes off pretty quickly taking it apart to change one is just weird I must say the skoda warning system is ****ing pathetic ive had a coolant temperature warning when the car was at -1 and not even started no low pressure tyre warning when I had a slow puncture and it was at 18 psi warning alarm for low tyre pressure after pushing it, all within pressures the light one its crap just ignore it and do regular pm
-
falkens, brand new I wouldn't have bought falkens but came with the car they were fine at a normal pace but when you started pushing horrendous they only really seemed to work below 3 degrees
-
I am on summers now and thank **** 4 brand new vierdiesteins (or however you spell it) and it feels soooooooooooooooooooooo much better. no constant tyre noise, grip, not tyre shredding wheel spin when you put the foot down I don't think id ever bother with winters ever again, sure I bet they are great in the snow but when its snowing I just walk to work... even with it being below 7 when I used them it was like driving about on the cut slicks I have on my track bike except these didn't grip anywhere near as good
-
aw no so good the only thing that scares me with crashes is the cost when I have them, they are never cheap no just track days just done it all at home in my shed
-
did you buy it from morven motorcycles? ive not even been out a run yet too busy mending my 675 for the track and other bikes 3 years yourself
-
ah you mean baby puke yellow mines is grey with flashes of tarmac, dirt and the a82 in it. never seen you around Falkirk area if you seen a guy with a pink steve hislop lid on a Daytona or a few ninjas that was me 675 is great especially if you need to get parts etc great for sale section

coolant temp warning light
moanthebairns replied to moanthebairns's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
thanks will do this. i thought it would be something ****ing stupid like this as its impossible for it to be over temperature as soon as you start it up when its been -1 overnight and the levels were there wtf is the need for it, surely the engine temperature is enough!?
