  1. OK, thanks. I'll get the front bumper off and take a look.
  2. HI all. As above, I have the 2006 1.9 TDI Edition 100 model and MOT time is looming. Besides the headlamp washers it all works fine, even on 168K miles as it is now. Normal windscreen washers and wipers work fine as do the headlamps themselves. But the washer system for the Xenons has nothing at all. No pump sound, the washer trays don't slide out, nada, zilch. Looking in the manual there isn't any mention of which fuse it's on, or relays etc. Can anyone help with this information please? Thanks. Dom.
  3. Wow!! Thanks Chaps. That's all really helpful thanks. I'll drop the integrated bluetooth idea then and see what else I can find. Sadly although I would love peace & quiet on the road I am commuting 4 hours a day now so I need to get stuff done while on the road. That's actually why I bought the car, to use as a commuting car. I kept my Land Rover as well but this one has really surprised me with comfort levels and general refinement. Not at all bad for a 2 grand motor.
  4. Hi, not long had the Superb but liking it so far. A couple of things though, 1. Bluetooth. Should it / Does it have this? It's the Elegance Edition 100 but I can't find anything in the manual about it. 2006 car as well and many cars did have bluetooth by this time. If not, is there a part from another (newer) Skoda or VW which gives factory levels of integration? I don't really want a Parrot kit if it can be avoided. 2. Condensation. I've checked the water leak threads and my carpets aren't wet etc. But even with the climate on AUTO the car really steams up on these damp mornings. This can't be normal surely? Is ther anything I need to check besides the water ingress point under the bonnet? Thanks in advance Dom.
  5. I'm not sure if it helps but I've just bought my first Skoda which is a 55 plate Superb Elegance Edition 100 with a 1.9TDi engine and manual gearbox. It has done 120k miles with a full service history and a file of receipts which lay out how the car has been looked after, very well in this case. I know nothing about the range or what the Edition 100 is but it's a comfy car for a long commute (110 miles each way, every day). I paid £2175 with a new MOT, 4 new tyres, a minor service, 3 months warranty and 6 months UK Road Fund License. That was from a Jaguar main dealer in the midlands, i.e. not the auctions.
  6. Hi All Thought I'd best introduce myself since I've been trawling the forum for various information about the new (to me) Skoda. Anyway, I've just changed jobs and I needed a working hack to get to and from work. Doing about 1100 miles a week so a car capable of this was sought out and I came across the Skoda Superb Elegance which I bought. It's done just over 100k already, on a 55 plate, 1.9 diesel with a manual box. Something about "Edition 100" although I have no idea what that is. Overall I'm really pleased with it so far. It's giving me high 40's mpg, nice & comfortable and not at all what I expected to be honest. Came with a year's MOT and 6 months tax, a FSH with loads of other invoices too. Had a clutch last year according to teh paperwork including the DMF so seems to have been looked after. All nice and easy so far. Stuff it doesn't have are only small niggles like bluetooth and touch screen navigation but I can live with that. Nav I don't need on the commute and bluetooth missing is a decent excuse to ignore the phone. That's about it for now. Regards Dom
