  1. Have you changed the fluid for starters and bled the system? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  2. I did have the EGR replaced in the end under the 3rd party warranty I bought get with car Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  3. My 2010 face-lift had new EGR valve, expensive and big job as low down by bulk head. Also had the Haldex pump replaced. My car had FSH too. I wouldn't worry about the delamination on wheels, just get them refurbished and powder coated in nice new colour. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  4. I agree, bought one for android to use with Carista and had to send it back as didn't work. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  5. REH17 Sent you a PM, which you cant seem to see on Tapatalk app :-( Can you do Friday or Saturday this week 10/11 April 2015 , would really appreciate it as taking the nail in next week
  6. When I get home I'll tell you part cost. Is your 140ps version?
  7. Patczky I had to have mine done recently on 63k and it cost about 700 quid, apparently the electronic part failed. Job is a big one as it is as the back of the engine low down and about 3 hr strip down. It would be expensive if they stripped it down, cleaned it and it only worked for a short while and then failed!! I cleaned what I thought was the valve on my 2010 scout 2.l tdi but it was some bloody control valve!! Bring back my 1.9PD engine all is forgiven as it least it was in sensible place.
  8. Silver for 20 quid I'll give that a go. I assume it can be used on any vehicle.
  9. Silver1011 I already have a autel maxiscan unit, wish is a great unit can log faults automatically and record data etc, but I thought I read on here or other site that to see haldex detail you need proper kit.
  10. That's the issue Rainbow Fire the scan concerned was given to me by the garage and has raised all the concerns in the 1st place as they said it needed a haldex pump. So as per my last post and based on what others have said. The haldex unit has been replaced or the report is false or my unit has been swopped with out my concent all based on the mileage not matching the car. I would do a weekly scan if I had VCDS and it would assist in seeing if I have still got the fault and if mileage is still being reported. Anybody in B45 Bromsgrove area that can do a scan for a pint?
  11. So a couple of possibilities then. 1. My car has had a replacement haldex unit under warranty 2. The report on paper is false and they trying to get more work at garage. 3. Some bstard has swopped my original unit for one that has done 3 x my cars mileage. Hope not Does the haldex have a serial number like the engine or gearbox?
  12. Interesting, mine hasn't got mileage reports from earlier scans. I never noticed it originally silver 1011 did, but it raised the question. My car just seems to having issue after issue, which puts doubt and raises trust on the dealer. I hadn't even got the car back after EGR failure and they said I had this haldex issue. It will be going back in in next week or so for the gearbox repair they supposedly have done , but this will be after I have sorted a test drive with REH17. This will at least give me a bench mark on my gearbox and what it should be like. The gearbox changes have actually got worse this last 2 weeks, clutch pedal seems to have risen significantly and brakes seem a little spongy. Perhaps they haven't bled it correctly or something is wrong on hydraulic circuit. Do you know if VCDS checks the brake circuits and reports if there are any pressure issues?
  13. Trundlenut Does you VCDS scan show mileage on your haldex and is this different to the vehicle? Surely the haldex should be the same as the car mileage surely if it is the original part ?
  14. Thanks REH17 that would be ace I'll PM you when I work out how to do it, lol. Not sure I can do it using taptatalk
  15. perhaps I am a bit suspicious as I have just had work done with them, on the gearbox and then EGR valve 1 week later, and it is being covered on my 3rd party warranty. It didn't even get out the work shop when they said it had this fault, but it didn't have any issues before hand. So additional faults = more work and seems as good a reason as any to engineer another fault. So going back to my original question of the mileage difference, do you believe this is an genuine reporting error, that a valid label file for haldex 4 would report it correctly?
  16. Yes by independent dealer. Can the reports be edited? I ask as I have suspicion, car had gearbox look at, still ****e and will be going back. Then week later my EGR packed up then when collecting they said I got this fault. Lost faith in this unnamed dealer for now!!! Makes me wonder if this is true has part been swapped or printed report edited?
  17. Hi I have 2.0l TDI 2010 scout, 6spd manual. I have a fault with my haldex unit and in the printed out report the vehicle has done 106 , 500 km , but under the haldex section address 22 And the mileage is 3, 618, 101 km. Does anybody know why the haldex mileage this would be so different to the vehicle? is this my haldex unit or has it been swapped? I can't check mileage on old reports as there was no fault and no mileage reported??
  18. Thanks rustynuts Does anybody know why the haldex km is some 33.97 times greater than the vehicles km. And is any scout owner willing to meet me to test drive their car and my car around a car park or something to see and feel what a proper 6spd box should behave like?
  19. I'll have to check when I get back home, suspicion raised over mileage against my haldex unit km compared to car mileage, I would have thought it would be the same and then I noticed the VCID is different. Makes me wonder if my haldex unit had been swapped?
