  1. Hi can anyone tell me with certainty who made the rear shocks for the 2010 170 4x4 yeti please? part number 1K0513029MN
  2. Hi All, I've just changed the timing belt and waterpump on our 2.0 tdi yeti, put it all back together and VCDS is telling me the timing is now out. I used the pins without much trouble but something has gone wrong and I wanted to know if anyone knows the procedure for reinstating the correct timing (which I hope is actually possible!) Many thanks!
  3. Hi all, Just had the alignment done on our Yeti and Kwikfit have told us the front camber can’t be adjusted - are they mugging us off?
  4. Just had the wheel arch and belt off and it's not the ac clutch which is my problem but the ac pulley (bearing). Anyone got a part number for this? I've looked on oemepc.com and the part number is missing annoyingly!
  5. https://x8r.co.uk/air-conditioning-a-c-delphi-compressor-5n0820803-audi-vw-seat-skoda-repair-kit.html I think this is what I need. It clearly states that this is only for a Delphi compressor though and I have a Sanden, given they have the same part numbers (5N0 820 803) I presume it should fit?
  6. Helpful responses all round. Thanks a lot. Did more fording than I would have liked before Christmas and have been left with a noise which occurs when engine is revved (during driving or idling). I have VCDS and checked the turbo values which are ok. Noise actually Coming from alternator / ac compressor area. Voltages check out on Alternator. Just took it in for its MOT and garage said the noise is coming from the compressor. Can't see any wobble on pulleys though? Noise is a bit like a servo sort of sound. Doesn't change when ac is switched on or off. Part number as written on compressor doesn't have lettered suffix i don't think - 2010 elegance 170.
  7. Can a noisy a/c compressor pulley be changed on its own, or is it a whole new compressor job? Anyone done this? (Sanden 5N0 820 803) Cheers
  8. Hi All, If anyone has a blank page in this booklet and the inclination (!) i'd appreciate being sent a scanned image of the double pages please. Many thanks
  9. Hi all, I managed to shear off one of the bolts which fixes the cap on the filter and need to take the haldex (gen 4, Yeti 2010) assembly off to drill / extract it. I found this guide and wondered if anyone else out there has done this before and can confirm it's as straight forward as this guide makes it look? https://workshop-manuals.com/skoda/yeti/power_transmission/gearbox_02q/final_drive_differential_differential_lock/removing_and_installing_haldex_coupling/removing_and_installing_haldex_coupling_(final_drive_installed)/ Many thanks Paul
  10. Hi all, I know it's chilly out but if any of you 2010 Yeti owners could manage a pic of your T28a (28-pin) connector at the drivers side door pillar that would be much appreciated. I'm soldering the wires back together and want to double check which hole each wire goes into on the connector block. I think I know that: top left 1 = black/brown 2 = blue/black 3 = \ 5 = Green/brown 6 = purple 7 = orange/brown 8 = orange/black 9 = \ 10 = \ 11 = Yellow/blue 12 = ? 13 = \ 14 = \ bottom left 15 = yellow top right 16 = small brown 17 = \ 18 = \ 19 = white/purple 20 = \ 21 = big brown 22 = big red/yellow 23 = \ 24 = \ 25 = \ 26 = \ 27 = \ bottom right 28 = \ I didn't check the photo I took at the start and it's next to no good! Can just about make out a big blurry thumb 😫
  11. It's out.... To try and rule out a gearbox fault i wondered if anyone can tell me if this sounds like it should and if the amount of play looks good enough?.... IMG_0507-sm.mov
  12. Thanks for that. Ok next query online sages.... I'm struggling to get the gearbox assembly out.... I've got engine support on a beam (across the engine bay) and gearbox on a transmission jack but I cant get it down and past the wishbone? (Drive shafts are out). The manual says I need to remove the assembly carrier? I come here for help after 3 hours wiggling it about!
  13. I'm about to remove the gearbox. Quick question - do I need to drain engine and / or transmission oil before separating gearbox from engine. Just had a premonition of a sea of oil....
  14. Ours is at 176k too! thanks for that - I bought this which thankfully works out about the same price with your offer of a voucher. phew! 152498157817 (eBay item number)
