I have only just got the car and never seen the light but it don't work I can see on vagcom when I switch the switch on the stalk the value never changes but when pushing the clutch and brake pedal the value changes. I did notice when the stalk was apart I put a multi meter on the "set" button to see if the button was working and there is always continuity weather the button is pushed in or not pushed in, but on the other button can't remember what that one is called but when the button is not pushed in there is no continuity and when the button is pushed in there is continuity. Could this be the problem do you think?

I have a 56 reg. if I look at a certain angle on the dash I can see there is the cruise control symble but no light comes on. I don't have my car with me till tomorrow so I'll check the sticker then. I'll try proper electrical cleaner on the switch when I get the car back aswell. If I got a new stalk if it is the stalk at fault would I need to code anything if it was fitted from the dealer? I have cleared all the codes and the one shown above is the only one that has stayed in the memory after driving for a bit.

I read you could use vodka so that's what I used lol the little toggle on the stalk is switched on but no light comes on. Just plugged vagcom in and tested the brake and clutch and they show as working but when I switch the little toggle to turn cruise control on it don't show as working. the only code I get is below. Hi all my cruise control won't enable when I switch it on and the light on the dash don't light up any ideas what this could be? I have tried cleaning the contacts in the stalk but still no joy.

been looking about and i found some after market head units but decided i don't want after market i want standard. i cant get my head around this can-gateway could someone explain to me? i have goggled and i just read conflicting things.

Hi all just brought a 56 reg skoda octavia Laurin + Kelmemt. It's got lots of gadgets witch I love and after so many people trying to put me off of a skoda I personaly don't know what problems people have with Skodas I have only driven it for 2 days now but this car is nice to drive. Had a dead battery today witch I thought second hand car here we go big problems but only turned out to be the battery witch made me like the car more lol. Hope some one can help with a gadget I need that's not on the car. I want Bluetooth hands free kit for the car I normaly use parrot but after having one in my Ibiza it's put me off of them. How much would it cost to get Skodas intergeaded Bluetooth fitted? Also I would like to keep all the centre dash radio bits like the display for the rear parking sensors ect ect. And would like to use an iPod in the car aswell can any one point me in the right direction or some advice.

Does anyone know if you need high temp silicone hose that goes to the turbo. I was looking at ash hose that is ratted at max 180 degrees

hi all just read most of this its really good. could you tell me if you have had any problems with the pipes popping off? just got a quote from for all the intercooler pipes and it comes to just under £500 witch i think is a joke. i dont own a skoda but i have the same engine and the lay out of the pipes look the same. has anyone done a diy for the turbo pipe to the intercooler if so what size connectors would i need?
