  1. Looks like my dealer or maybe Skoda it's self is still blind to the delays or I will get my car before other people in the que. I just received a letter from Skoda finance extending my PCP deal on my current car which should run out 1st September.  They have exstended it 1st November. Which in theory should be to cover untill the new car is delivered.

Not yet got my build week but this would suggest a build week of 40 or sooner to meet this date for delivery.

  2. If your not in a rush to buy don't be drawn in by up front offer.  My story is pretty similar to the original post. I was aiming for same payment took about 8 weeks from first offer which was high to come back with two further offers at about 4 and 8 weeks (I made no other contact in this time) to drop the original "That's the best I can do" by £50 / month (£2100)

  3. Total agree that maps is way better than built in Nav for being up todate with laters roads and traffic.

Drive to new places with work all the time and didn't want to sit in silence to use the maps on my phone if you couldn't play the radio while using android auto.

Can any one confirm the Huawei P9 now works. I know there was an issue but I think it has been fixed.

  4. Coming to the end of my PCP soon and looking at the new FL SE.

Can anyone tell me on the infotainment system if while using android auto as my sat Nov wether you can still listen to the radio or does android auto disable the radio for its own audio.

Hoping you can as I don't really want to spec sat Nav but also don't want a system that doesn't work for me.

  5. Also thought this feature was good. Until today.

Just found my car in pouring rain with all the windows open.

Yes I must have pressed the button in my pocket.

Not bad enought that this unlocked the car on the drive but now I have advertised the fact by opening the windows. And to top that the car will take forever to dry out till it gets warmer weather.

  6. Recently had a towbar fitted with dedicated 13 pin electrics with coding.

I have been digging around to find exactly what the coding does.

I have found the following :-

    Deactivates parking sensors

    Turns off Eco driving mode

    Deactivates foglight

    Stability control

Can anyone confirm these or any others and offer any more detail on how the stability control changes and how.

  7. Realise this thread is just over a month old and this may not be relevant anymore but thought it might help.

Just had a tow bar fitted by united towbars. Went for the detachable flange (witter) with dedicated wiring with 13 pin and full coding. £530. Could of had swan neck for £500 but wanted bike rack option.

They came and fitted on my office car park and it took him 2 1/2 hours to fit.

When he tried to test it he found that his tester was damaged but returned the following day to retest. Great service would definatly recommend.

  8. Just brougt a caravan and need tow bar.

Car is on PCP deal and dealer says I need profesional fitting and dedicated wiring not to affect warranty and trade in.

I did get a quote from pfjones for £567 Fully coded with removabe swanneck. But caravan sales said I should expect less than £400 but go for a fixed as people don't bother to remove them.

Any thoughts and recomendations for fitters in the West Midlands

  9. Well I've gone and done it just brought a Bailey Discovery 300 (2004) with MTPLM of 1156kg

So car MAM of 1805kg + 1156kg is 2961kg well inside max of 3305kg and below my licence max of 3500kg

Car kerb weight of 1250kg and caravan of 1156kg so only 92% just about the best 4 birth I could find.

Need to ask about tow bar but will start a new thread.

  10. I own a 1 year old 1.4tsi hatch. Wasn't the original plan but we are strongly considering getting a caravan. We are 2.4 children so will need to be at least a 4 berth. If we stick to the recomendation of 85% kerb weight then we are very limited. So I was wandering what makes and models of van you are pulling and any issues.

  11. I have an update on this but sadly no a solution yet.

I use Sygic satnav on the phone set to use phone speakers. If sygic is running then I can't hear sound when making a call (Recieving a call is fine) If sygic is not running then all is ok.

So looks like a satnav software issue nothing to do with the car.

Wiill update if I find a solution.
