  1. The cars had a few changes over the winter, the biggest change being quite an obvious one!! I was told i'd never get 9" wide wheels on the Octavia but seems like they were wrong :P 8" wide fronts and 9" wide rear 18" Mercedes-Benz polished wheels Some photos taken at Ultimate Dubs this weekend (where it won the best Skoda award in the show and shine) and from the journey back:
  2. Was a very good show today! Some nice pics there, i'll try and add mine tomorrow.
  3. Yep this is already in my calendar! Will do the Sunday this year. Myself and Jason did try and enter the show and shine last year, but they told us we were too late!! We turned up at 11.30 and everyone had to enter by 11 :(
  4. This is advertised on a few other VW forums and I thought I might pop along, anyone else interested?? March DubClique Meet Sunday 23rd March - 2pm @ The Elms / Travelodge Mill Farm Lutterworth Leicestershire LE17 4BP Same place as always, this will be the fourth club meet! The first 3 meets have been very successful, we've had 40+ cars, let's try and beat that or get similar figures.
  5. Just a thought....the heater/fan unit sits behind the glovebox. It can click sometimes when the climate is on... Otherwise could there be leaves or something similar trapped in there?
  6. Do you mean the top mount? Quite a large rubber bush. It's advisable to change them if your replacing the shocks. As far as i'm aware noone makes an aftermarket version so an OEM bush is your only choice. I've got the SuperPro poly wishbone and dog mount bushes and can recommend them.
  7. Will look good when it's lowered and you've the RS front bumper on. I had no issues with clearance when they were on mine:
  8. Black CH's with a pin stripe red lip
  9. Got loads more from when I did my FMIC, if you need anything more specific just ask and i'll see what i've got.
  10. Theres a beer in it for anyone that can help
  11. Could someone with ETKA look up a part number for me please? I'm looking for the part number and cost for the interior light (the one in the roof lining by the rear view mirror) for a non-sunroof model and later spec black/dark grey roof lining.
  12. Random question of the day... Has anyone removed the rear mudflaps from their Octavia? As far as I can see they only screw in. And have you got any pictures?
  13. Yes as far as i'm aware anything from an Audi A3/S3, Seat Leon/Toledo, VW mk4 Golf/Bora will fit
  14. It's the standard full Blueflame system, I got it about 3 years ago, but the flexi pipe in it started to blow recently which is what i've just had fixed by Pipewerx.
  15. Need a new Blueflame flexi pipe? I did, but instead of going back to Blueflame to have it repaired for £200. I went along to Pipeworx. It's only 5 minutes around the corner from Blueflame and was set up by some ex-Blueflame guys. PipeWerx - Performance Exhaust Specialist The service was excellent and completed in only an hour for under half the price that Blueflame quoted That also included sorting the wonky tail pipe and re-alinging the centre section mounts that had moved
  16. It's different...what about painting the centre silver parts Skoda green?
  17. They won't, their very slightly different. Though you can get specific Octavia ones, I think Milotec make them.
  18. I've just spoken to PipeWerx - Performance Exhaust Specialist who also suggested an uprated dog bone mount bush would be better for the flexi pipe. Car now booked in for exhaust at Pipewerx (instead of Blueflame) and the dogbone at Awesome
  19. I had mine fitted by blueflame and it's been perfectly straight now for 2+ years
  20. Cheers Gerry/Trevor, I've got the SuperPro wishbone bushes already, had them done before Christmas along with some new top mounts. Cheers Steve, I guess I'll get the garage to do it then I've got the car booked in with Awesome GTi in a fortnight for a service so have asked them to fit the dogbone mount whilst it's in
  21. I've got my car booked in with Blueflame to have my blowing exhaust flexi pipe repaired in a few weeks. I've read some interesting posts on here about uprating the dogbone mount to reduce the amount of vibration/flex that the exhaust flexi has to put up with, but is it the front or rear bush that I need? Is fitting easyish/DIY? Front Jabba Sport - Motor Sport Rear Jabba Sport - Motor Sport
