  1. Not overheating at all I had it changed in the past few months too, only time my temp gauge plays up is when the coolant isn't level.
  2. I have just checked for pressure in the tank when cold but there was no pressure at all, if there was I didn't notice. What would you suggest next?
  3. Is this 100% right? How do I check to make sure it is the head gasket. They are expensive jobs. Don't have money to throw around!
  4. Sepulchrave, if it's my head gasket what do I need to do? Change the thermostat and upgrade to better head bolts?
  5. Good afternoon looking for some opinions / previous experience knowledge. So changed my coolant reservoir and lid as the old one was expelling gas from the lid and losing coolant through this (at least I thought). After I changed it I'm losing much more I've been told that there on the sides of the tank it releases fluid when it is over pressuring, I have found that there is lots coming from there and more when I thrash it or at least I think so. A mechanic has told me they would change the thermostat first before other things. Please help me locate where the problem is!
  6. I know the CV outer needs doing but would it hurt if the bump stops aren't replaced?
  7. Hi Sam, no there is nothing at all showing anything has been changed. To be honest it could cost a small fortune to do that all, I've priced up what a good lowering suspension setup would be and that's approx £300, polly bushes about £150 all round? I would love to do it but at the moment can't afford that! You've put etc but I can't think of anything else which may need changing, is there more?
  8. Hi guys looking for a bit of advice from some people with experience, so I get creaking and knocking when going over bumps and a slipping noise when turning while reversing so did a check of all four corners and have these photos of the results..... The only test I did on the bushes was a visual inspection, would this be sufficient or do I need a crowbar? Bit of additional info, when I bounce the suspension on the back it creaks would this be the springs, the look fine from what I can see?! Any help would be much appreciated.
  9. Can you give me a little guidance on how to pull them please? I tried for a while to get it off but to no avail!!!
  10. I will have a look at the area you are telling me about! I couldn't get the trim below the heating controls off, the one that goes around each side and meets the floor they seem attached with something!
  11. Can someone please help me. I have taken the heater control panel to reconnect the flexi rod which controls the direction of air flow for the heating but I can not see where it connect to the inner part of the system.....I've found myself taking pieces apart to no avail. Any guidance would be appreciated.
  12. Where did you get the new style vrs for the front and rear?? Also do the come with adhesive already on?? Thanks!
  13. Are these a straight fit? Just un-clip the old speakers and tweeters and plug these in, of course I need to mount the speakers where the original were. Thanks!
  14. I would also like to do this!
  15. Cheers for that I will be getting on it soon then, can't wait to get some good sound coming from the front! Is the amp worth getting for the hassle of fitting etc. or try and get a head unit that is pre-amped?
  16. Thank you so much for going to all that effort to explain that to me! It is very appreciated, just a quick question.....Do I just screw the first spacer straight in to the door? Maybe the original holes from the OEM speaker? I would have thought to stick them to the door to avoid damage? Thanks again!
  17. Ok I take your point, thank you for persisting with the statement! It was only that the rear shelf speakers look fairly easy to replace and I have one blown....I really want to do the front ones but I have no experience of fitting speakers, the amp is especially a mind bobberler for me, where would I put the amp and does the stereo run to the amp then the front speakers? I have also heard about the tweeter crossover, is this something quite difficult? Please bare with me and have the patience to reply, obviously I want to make a good job of this!
  18. Sweet might purchase some of these look well priced, is it a straight swap and any tips in the replacement? I'm glad you mentioned the front as I really want to swap mine but not 100% confident in how to secure them due to the rivets, would you say it's difficult?
  19. Could someone please confirm that these speakers would replace the rear shelf speakers in my vrs......http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/131/201/TS-1002i/page.html If not could you please link me to some that will fit there. Does anyone know how easy/hard these are too replace? Thanks in advance!!!
  20. Ohhh you mean what the EGR fits to?? If I'm wrong will go have a look in a moment, thanks a bunch for your help and advice!
  21. Cheers guys! All I need is am Allen key for it then? Is there only 6 bolts that need removing? Not too sure which aluminum boost pipe you're talking about Stevo. .. I'm a newb to this. Please be patient! Haha
