  1. Loving your work so far. Watching this with interest
  2. That's a good price! Painted or powder coated?
  3. How much should it have been? £200. Only reason I ask, is that I'm planning on refurbing my 2 sets of alloys myself, but if it's cheap I may as well get them done by them and colour changed at the same time.
  4. Thanks mate, but need it asap, and these are cheap enough on flea-bayhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-OIL-MINI-BREATHER-AIR-FILTER-FUEL-CRANKCASE-ENGINE-CAR-BIKE-RED-/281560776068?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item418e547d84
  5. Cheers. Will keep an eye out. Not in any rush.
  6. Not sure. It's the pipe that would have gone into the standard air box, but not the intake pipe. Will get a picture up shortly
  7. That looks decent. Where did you get that from? Or was it second hand?
  8. I have a BMC carbon cylinder thingy, but looking at the oil breather filter, it's fooked. Don't know how long it's been on there, as it was fitted by previous owner. Can anyone shed some light on what replacement size it is? What have you got? Lots to choose from on eBay from £5.99, but unsure on bore size. The one I've taken off looks around 20-25mm, and the ones I've seen are 9-14mm.
  9. These new road tax rules are pish. They used to give you 2 weeks gratis if you taxed after, say the 16th of the month. Now they want the whole of January's paying for. G.T.F!!
  10. Jerry is currently SORN, until I have sorted a few niggles, namely the ridiculous road tax bill. But Olaf is rocking a new 'Olaf' sticker on his rump. So should be able to tell apart from others. Seen a **** load of Mk2 FL's around Elgin.
  11. Thanks all for the welcome. Steam cleaned 'Jerry's' interior today, and the seats have come up like new. Looks like all 4 alloys have been driven alone a dry stone wall. Just been looking at DIY wheel refurb videos on you tube. Seams easy enough.
  12. I did a few years ago, but havent a clue where the adaptor or disk has gone. Handy little tool though, once you work it out. I had the lite version. I take it you haven't got it? Do you know anyone (briski user) near to us?)
  13. Well i thought it about time that i should join up and introduce myself. I have been reading the tech guides of the forum for a while now. I'm now on my third Octavia (currently 2 in the stable) We first tracked down this example back in 2010 at a garage down near Gravesend, the kids called 'Him' Gaston. A 1.9 TDI Lauren and Klement version, with cream leather interior and beige interior. It was a lovely car and served us well. Then in August 14, we decided to trade in and upgrade (really regret trading Gaston in now, as could have been our ideal second car, and was worth more to us than they offered) So welcome, 'OLAF' named after that annoying snowman from Frozen. A 2.0TDI VRS 170CR, with DSG and flappy paddles. With a recent relocation for work commitments, we now need a second car. Mrs said it needs to be economical, a diesel, and small. So naturally i went for this option..... :D A 1.8T VRS with more than a few little touches to it. Came with a massive file of work done. Currently running with 18's Koni fully adjustable shocks with Blistein springs Forge intake Forge 007p BMC carbon induction 3" Miltex downpipe Supersprint full stainless exhaust Revo Stage 2 Heavy duty sway bars Uprated anti roll bars Adjustable front strut brace Apparently sitting at 227bhp with 267lb/ft torque. Just needs a damn good clean and taxing now. Oh and because of the colour the kids have named him 'Jerry' Thanks for looking
  14. Like the puddle lights. Where did you get those from?
  15. Looks a very nice clean example. Wish i could motivate myself to get out and clean mine!
  16. Hello to all. Well I've been browsing this site for about 4 years now. With some of it 'locked out' to me, and with our new purchase, I thought its time to register. Been on forums in the past, and this seams to be a real friendly place with a good vibe and a lot less 'scene' 4 years ago we purchased this 52 plate L&k. Named Gaston by the kids. Lovely car, with cream leather and full electrics. Has been the work horse of the family, pulling our caravan and anything else. It never let us down, but was starting to look a bit tired. Being impressed with the build quality, and having now sold the caravan, we've decided to stay with Skoda, and picked up this beauty today. Octavia II FL Vrs 170 DSG Drive back from the dealership was smiles all the way. Again, named by the kids, meet Olaf. Flappy paddles and 18's. Love it. (34, but still a big kid)
