  1. Hi, I got my 1989 software update OTA. Just popped up while I was driving to Birmingham Airport last night. Doesn’t appear to be that much different. Not sure if you could do this on previous versions but I can re-arrange the icons on the infotainment system screen. Again, not sure if this is a new feature or not ?
  2. What tyre did you change to, to make the noise disappear ?
  3. I have the same problem in my 2021 vRS TDi 4x4. Just came back from the dealer and while I was there we test drove two more Mk4 vRS cars. BOTH MADE THE SAME NOISE. I don't know who was staggered more, me or the technician. So they're feeding it back to Skoda to see what they think. My car makes the noise with the current Bridgestone tyres on it as it did with the factory fitted Goodyear tyres too. I'd love to be able to eradicate this annoyance. The current tyres haven't even done a thousand miles either !
  4. Hi, sorry if this is covered elsewhere......i'm not too good with these forums regarding searching and messaging etc.......still confuses me even now ! How do I obtain the 1941 infotainment update file ? Many Thanks
  5. Hi mate, I am running 1896 and mine keeps rebooting randomly. May I also have the 1941 update file too please ?
  6. Haha, I do. I’ve been driving 34 years ! 🙄🙄🙄 So, rather than criticise my driving, does anyone know any suitable mods. I know they exist for such events 😊
  7. My traction control is ALWAYS on. Almost 335 bhp through the front wheels…..nothing will stop it electronically. I have Dynamic Chassis Control on it too. So i‘m asking, are there any hardware mods that will help ? This thing will happily spin in 3rd gear at 75 mph 🙈
  8. Hello, I have a MK3 vRS 245 with a stage 2 set up running 333.6 bhp. Naturally I encounter a fair amount of wheel hop in the damp/wet weather and also in the dry if I give it the full beans. Mid range…..no problem at all. What mods are out there to reduce/eliminate this ? Thanks
  9. Hi, When I drive my car, the sunroof blind always starts to slide open an inch or two. I slide it back forward to close it and it still slides back again after a few accelerations. Am I missing a trim or something ? Everything looks like it’s there and it’s done this since day one.
  10. I have a 2017 (67) Octavia vRS 245 Tsi DSG with a Stage 2 that is pushing 333.6 bhp on the rollers. I don’t really feel any difference in any unleaded fuel at all due to how quick this car is. For the most part it’s just a case of “hanging on” 🤣👍
  11. I have never lived in Chilwell but my Cousin Garry did and my Grandad/Dad/Uncles.
  12. Thanks mate 👍 I was very specific what I wanted when I went for another vRS and this one ticked all the boxes. I’m in Nottingham but had to go to Stockport for that one, Lookers Skoda. The Sales Manager said that the previous Sales Manager had specced this car up to the hilt and ran around in it for a few months. But then she got the boot for taking the **** as it cost them over 33k and naturally when they sold it they lost a fair bit on it lol. 2865 miles on it but was 8 months old when I got it off them. I think they were glad to see the back of it 😉 Very rare spec indeed for a 245. Even the engineers at the Skoda dealer in Nottingham noticed it had “more buttons” that any Octavia he’d been in, when it’s been in for services. But no doubt it’ll be worth nowt when it comes to chopping it in again 😂 Cheers
  13. I had mine done April last year so I’ve had the pleasure of summer to have a play. Even in the bone dry you will not be able to full throttle it from a stand still. These are the extras that my 245 has from the standard car. I didn’t buy it new, but it only had 2865 miles on it. Paid £27k instead of 33k sticker price when new. Good value. Cornering front fog lamps £125.00 Electric Sunroof £850.00 Crew Protection £435.00 Canton Sound System £500.00 Columbus Sat Nav £1050.00 Premium WLAN with Phone Box £550.00 Park Assist with Front & Rear Parking Sensors £590.00 Rear View Parking Camera £375.00 Front Assist with Pedestrian Protection £315.00 Adaptive Cruise Control £565.00 Lane Assist & Blind Spot Detection £385.00 Dynamic Chassis Control £850.00 KESSY Keyless Entry £400.00 Winter Pack £350.00 DSG 7 Speed £1390.00 Total £8,730
  14. I didn’t go from stock to stage 2. I had a stage 1 map on it before the stage 2 and it was running 280bhp approx (not on the rollers). But yes, mine is 333.6 on the rollers. There is a bit of whoosh yes, but I never pay that much attention, too busy looking for the next “victim” 🤣🤣🤣 Power in the wet is a waste of time, can’t get traction at all. I have used an accelerometer to measure the 0-60 and the lowest I’ve had (in the dry obviously) is 5.3. Wheels spin even at 80 in 3rd. If this thing had 4 wheel drive like my SQ5 then it would be an absolute animal. But when we’re rolling yes, even the 140i can’t keep up, I pull away from them 🤣🤣. When I came out of Indigo GT heading back up to Nottingham I had a new S3 up my arse, he got mugged as well and didn’t take it too well. Flashing his lights all over the shop from about 800yds back 🤣🤣 It’s all fun, I love a sleeper. There is no limiter on it either, I have had 175 out of it 👍 I won’t divulge where 😉
  15. Hi, I know this topic has been covered before for various reasons. Mine doesn’t spray, but I can also hear the motor buzzing. I’ve also taken off the little plastic spray nozzle to see if it will then fire water out of the pipe, it doesn’t. No water in the boot at all, it’s dry. A little dribble of water on the exterior of the tailgate around the wiper arm, but that’s it. What’s my next move ? Thanks everyone.
  16. I have a 2017 vRS 245 with a stage 2 remap 333.6 bhp. Done at Indigo GT in South Wales. Complete new Milltek Exhaust with Cast Downpipe , Race Cat, New Induction, Ecutek stage 2 remap including DSG. Even had a M140i driver catch me up and ask “what the hell have you done to that ?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
