I don’t want to spend the money to buy online services. I can get the updated map files from my Skoda portal so I should be able to put them onto a USB C stick, plug it in and it should update the system. They also supply radio station logos on the Skoda portal so as both of these are available surely i should be able to update my MY21 car

This is something I’ve asked about as well and the response I get is all you have to do is pass your thumb or finger over the little indent on the door handle and locks the car without using the key, I know it’s not the answer that you are after but it seems to be the best option

Skoda dealer tells me it’s a faulty chip in my 3 month old Karoq sel

Agree, but I suppose doing everything you can to make it difficult to steal is all you can do. Insurance companies will want to know what you did to try to prevent the theft.

Me too, but I need to use walking sticks and Kessy is great when you get near to the car so you’re not fumbling to press buttons on the key fob

I have same car same year as you and my kessy does not work at all. As I stand by the door the car does not unlock when I grasp the handle. Strangely when i leave the car brushing the indent on the handle locks the car. Have you any ideas why this happens please

Went out and bought brand new Duracell batteries, just the same. In infotainment unit I re established myself as primary user, now my wife’s key won’t do KESSY if I reset the infotainment system it will take time to restore it, I’m hoping that might fix it? Am I right that no configuration is stored in the key? many Thanks

I do apologise perhaps I should’ve mentioned that the car is just three months old and the key fob activates unlocking from 3 m away without any problems. With this in mind do you still think it’s worth changing the battery as I don’t have any I have to go and buy some

My 2021 Skoda Karoq SEL 1.5 TSI SEL KESSY Entry has stopped working for my key I have to unlock the car with the button on the fob My wife’s key works perfectly as she approaches the car it unlocks ready for her. Does anyone have an idea why my key would have stopped proximity activation please

I am annoyed by online routes and destinations not transferring to my car and being unable to navigate using contacts because of some format error, so I use CarPlay with Apple Maps option in my June 2021 Karoq with Amundsen. Connect my iPhone via Bluetooth, this navigation system is far superior to the car system

Thanks for your post I read that article wrong in the first place thinking the car only had one fuse box apart from the fiddly job of dropping the glove box fuse change was easy maybe it was my fault in the first place as recently I had bought a 12 V socket doubler and was charging my iPad and running the satnav of the socket Tried to delete duplicate post, no luck
