Software Update...?
Hi guys, I'm having an issue with an OTA update, I keep receiving a notification that a new software update it's available, something about updated Skoda Enyaq and Octavia store update, I select to run the update now, after some time I receive a message that update was successful. but the next time I get in the car to drive somewhere I receive the same notification that an update is available with the same description, and again it's successful, and this happens almost every time for about 1 month. It's there something I cand do about this?

Light Assist Package
I am disappointed by the matrix LED lights on my 2022 Karoq. Initially I was excited by the idea of having a shadow cone only on the cars, but real life usage proves to be hard for Skoda to implement this. Most of my driving was in Romania and so far I’ve found myself switching manually more often than using the auto dipping functions. What I don’t like: when driving on the highway with anti blinding fittings between the lanes, the matrix lights constantly blind lory drivers, also they have trouble with cars in front of you when switching lanes In Romania small bridges are marked with reflective red indicators, one at each end of the bridge edge, somehow my Karoq always confuses this bridges with the rear lights of a car and makes a shadow on the railing (this also happens on the highway with reflective indicators on the railing if one of the indicators is missing and distance between them is bigger than standard) this can be very dangerous on narrow roads. when driving on poor roads with a lot of pot holes, every time I reduce the speed to avoid a hole, even if its pitch black, it dips to low beams. the quality of the LED is noticeably worst than standard, also there is a visible transition line from where the low beam illuminates and the high beam illuminates, I find it distracting.

Android Auto new full screen
I like the new AA UI, but it’s really frustrating how Skoda (VW in general) implemented that notification slider and you always have that unused black bar at the top of the screen. Just wasted space that on a 8” display is important.

Facelift model and Carista
Ok, seems that Carista needs to be in english set to save settings. Managed to activate, scandinavian DRL, climate for warm countries, remember last state for seat warming settings, deactivate compass menu, 4 blinks when signalign, auto close when key is outside etc. Disabling the compass doesn't fix my issue with turn by turn instructions and start stop can't be configured with Carista

Facelift model and Carista
Hi, reviving this topic, maybe someone managed to make modifications to functions. Nothing of what I've tried to modify using Carista for my 2022 Karoq was saved. I wanted to modify automatic start stop function to remember last setting like I've had in my previous Octavia 3 from 2017. Current start-stop implementation in the facelifted Karoq with diesel engine is super aggressive, cutting out the engine even when I slow down for a speed bump or in intersections, but it seems it's not possible at all in Carista. Also other mods like auto light assist, auto locking when key is outside of car, remember last state for air care, remember last state for heated seats (now is on 10min timer) disable compass (i don't have navigation on my Bolero with virtual cockpit, and I always get the message compass not available when turn by turn instructions are sent to VC from Waze). None of the settings are being saved in Carista, I get a message to try with the hood opened and engine started.

Android Auto makeover
If you want to know more regarding the new layout for Android Auto it's called Coolwalk UI. I was part of the beta and had this UI for about 3 months, it's a big improvement over the previous version and more like what Apple is doing with CarPlay. Waze doesn't currently support CoolWalk but the beta version has added support, this mean it will be public soon. Unfortunately Skoda and all MIB3 systems still eat away about 1cm of the upper part of the screen with that useless black bar at the top just to house the notification slider.

Virtual cockpit and Waze
Hi guys, reviving this topic with a bit of a strange behavior for Waze with VC. I've collected all info I was able to find, and it seems that Waze cannot be displayed directly in VC, I'm ok with that. So I bought my Karoq from dealer show room, it was available on hand and I couldn't add any new options, it came with Bolero Plus package, meaning that the headunit has the same HW with Amundsen but without navigation software, ie Skoda maps. Navigation for it can be bought for 370EUR as a function on demand in Skoda Connect Shop. The thing is I'm not sure that I want to buy Skoda Maps Navigation since I mostly prefer Waze, but also I really like having directions displayed in VC since on longer trips the central screen is used to play kids cartoons (with AAAD and Fermata Auto). So I have 2 issues with Waze and VC and I'm unable to solve them: first issues - my usual config for VC is with the classic dials, in the left dial I have multimedia info, in the center trip information overview, and on the right I have ACC. In the central display I have Android Auto connected wirelessly. Whenever I set a destination (first time of the day or trip), on the VC in the center I get the message - "Busola nu este momentan disponibila" meaning compass temporarily unavailable, and I have to change screens (either by holding the "views" button on the steering wheel or by hitting back to information category, scroll up/down, and then back to navigation) and then I have the guidance displayed. I get this could be due to the fact that I don't have the navigation software purchased, but it's strange since I have the hardware available. Second issue - is regarding how turn by turn information is displayed visually, this is more comparing Google Maps with Waze. So when using Google Maps indications are displayed OK, roundabouts exits are shown correctly, intersections are shown OK. But when using Waze al roundabouts exists are displayed as a return arrow and streets or indications are not displayed in a readable manner, missing text etc. Is anyone experiencing the same issues? I have attached some pictures to show how my setup is. I have checked in another topic here in briskoda with a forum member to see if there are software updates for my unit.

Software Update...?
Ah, OK, I thought that I could update to 308 and then to 320. But I guess that supported trains means a combination of head unit hardware and car. So there is no upgrade path from 306. Thanks

Software Update...?
Any way I can get a download link and how to update tutorial? I’ve included a photo of what the service menu shows, but there are no OTA updates available, maybe because I’m based in Romania. I can ask the dealer to update it for me and claim there is a warranty issue like the bugs I’ve detailed.

Software Update...?
Has there been new updates rolled out since 306? I have a Skoda Karoq with virtual cockpit and Bolero unit with software 306 installed. I don't have navigation but I'm experiencing some small bugs that are becoming annoying like: when setting a destination on google maps I get a message "Compass unavailable" in the VC and I have to exit the navigation using the steering wheel commands and the get back and then I can see turn by turn navigation, some times the 3rd option for configurable dials layout in VC is missing and it only shows 2 options instead of 3, other times when put the car in reverse it shows only the back-up camera without any guidelines or overlay, it doesn't always enter in Android Auto but this could be phone related, and other small issues regarding VC and Bolero.

Aero inserts on 19” Alloys
Ok, so 50-52 mm internal size hub caps - 56mm external. Found some on amazon, will buy for 10EUR, better that those aero cheese graders

Aero inserts on 19” Alloys
No, the paint and finish on the rims looks ok, no scratches or any sign of damage. The trims on the other hand already have some marks on the plastic legs that fit the wheel and like I've said one of them is already loose. I'm looking on Amazon to see what hub caps I can find, and will measure internal diameter at work tomorrow, it seems it's 52mm internal and I have to be sure.

Aero inserts on 19” Alloys
So I’ve got the 17” Scutus wheels for winter, and one of the trims already doesn't fit OK after the wheel change. Honestly it looks a lot better without the plastic trims and I’m going to give up on them. Is the center cap dimensions 50mm for 17” wheels?

Actual boot volume in Karoq 4x4 2.0 TDI with space saver spare wheel
I’m in Romania, so I was just looking for part no of the accesories, foam filler for the remaining gap, larger boot floor, and what I’ve noticed today, is that it also lacks the plastic trim for the seats hinge that is visible from the trunk (Not really that important) Runflat are the best option since additional space in the boot is really important for me, I have two small kids and we travel with alot of lugage. The strange thing is that in Romania we have some of the worst roads in Europe, but in the last 16 years since I’ve got my licence I’ve only had a flat tyre once.

Actual boot volume in Karoq 4x4 2.0 TDI with space saver spare wheel
Unfortunately Skoda Romania and the local dealer from where I've bought the car is severely lacking in marketing materials and information. I've opened a previous topic with the missing ventilated glove box function, the dealer was clueless to this. Skoda Romania doesn't even have a Karoq section on it's website, all information are either from this forum or international websites. So now that the car is bought and in my possession I'm pleased with it overall, but are small details that I'm missing and try to fix them, like you said, the main issue is that my expectations weren't met in correlation to information provided to me. As a side note. my Karoq was in stock in a delivery storage location, not at the local dealer showroom, but delivery took about 3 weeks from decision to delivery, I haven't configured anything on the car. Since I'm willing to give up on the spare wheel, I have to buy winter tiers and I can buy runflat, but I can't identify what other trims and accessories I need to lower the boot floor - foam, plastic parts, different boot floor, etc.

Actual boot volume in Karoq 4x4 2.0 TDI with space saver spare wheel
Hi, so my Skoda Karoq Style 4X4 DSG with the 2.0TDI 150 PS engine got delivered last week. This weekend had a chance to go for a longer drive with the kids but I realized that actual boot space is a lot less than the car I had in test drive, a 1.5 TSI without 4x4. I’ve also have the simply cleaver package and received the nets to hold stuff down, but I don’t have access to the hooks since are below the false floor. What is the actual boot volume in this configuration since it most definetly not the 521l advertised? I am willing to give up on the spare wheel and buy runflat tyres, but what other trims and accesories do I need to lower the boot floor?

Maps
Probably you have the Bolero unit, with or without virtual cockpit, it's the latest Bolero unit, you can buy the maps from Skoda connect shop, from the unit itself after setting up the account and everything. In my country (Romania) it costs 400EUR (1980LEI). From what I was able to find is that maps can't be installed outside Skoda systems.

Missing cooled glovebox function on new Karoq Style
Hi, thanks for the effort. I’ll follow the thread on the Scala topic. I don’t think this will affect warranty. But i’m really disappointed with Skoda for this, I mean the hole is there, is just a small part, I’ve lost my trust in this car from day one, no I keep wandering what other parts are missing or of lower quality.

Missing cooled glovebox function on new Karoq Style
Hi, I've just received my new Karoq Style 2.0TDI with 4X4 and DSG, model MY23. I was super excited to be contacted by the dealer to establish the delivery, and once I got behind the steering wheel and started messing with the functions and buttons I've realized that the glove box doesn't have the vent dial for the cooling function. The dealer was clueless to this, and once I pointed out we started checking other Karoqs and all were equipped with it, even entry level Ambition trim with 1.5 TSI. Is there anything I can do about this, should I force the dealer to fix this on warranty? The thing is on Skoda configurator in my country I can't find this function, not even as part of a pack or something, and I new this was something part of Skoda simply cleaver and was included by default, since I have it in my Skoda Octavia MK3 facelift from 2017 that is an entry configuration and on my wife's Skoda Octavia MK2 from 2005.
