zxcslo replied to TheUltraRunner's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk IV (2020 > )
Mine is also from 2020 (one of the first ordered in SLO) and it's still 'coasting' in Normal mode (which I really don't like) and I want it gone... 😀 -

Are you happy with the new infotainment system?
zxcslo replied to ajw1100's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk IV (2020 > )
If you don't love the Octavia for her driving, space, simple and clever solutions then you'll hate it. The infotainment is devastatingly bad. I had my MK3 Octavia vRS Manual from 2014 for 6 years and I love it. Now I have the new RS for a week and and I’m almost sorry I bought it... all that because of the infotainment system. Using this infotainment during driving is worse and more dangerous than using the phone. For the last 6 years me and my family loved Škoda. My wife have Fabia and my son also Octavia from 2014. The purchase of a new octavia left a very bitter aftertaste and at the moment I don't know what to think ... -
TRIP odometer (mileage) in new Octavia RS 245 TSI DSG
zxcslo replied to zxcslo's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk IV (2020 > )
Interesting... Has Škoda decided that we don't need to know how long are the trips we make...? I'm very happy with my new Octavia RS but the infotainment system sucks big time. And yet, they prohibit the use of telephones while driving... and how is the use of this infotainment any different... -
Has anybody figured out where the heck is the Trip odometer in the new RS and how to reset it? I really can’t find it...

Nice! My 4.5 months old is the same color, only it's petrol. -
@themanwithnoaim You are absolutely right. I don't drive much on highways. You can get good consumption, if you are carefull, but I didn't buy this car to be carefull. I buy it to enjoy it and that you can't, if you are worried about MPG. :-)
-
Well... floor it... Where on normal roads can you use all the power that vRS have... :-) On highways there a different story. But when you go 200 km/h or more, there is no motor with 'low' consumption. I say this: for a car like TSI vRS, anything under 10L/100km is acceptable. At least for me... That's why I bought it.
-
@LeMans If you buy 2.0 TSI vRS, then fuel consumption mustn't be your concern. At least my it isn't... I have it now for 3 months. No mater what I do, my average consumption is around 9.2 L/100km, that's 25.6 MPG. I tried one tank on Sport mode, one tank on Normal and one on Eco mode. There is no difference... about consumption. Before vRS I had Ford Mondeo MKIII 1.8 16v (125) Petrol from 2004, for 9 nine years, and my consumption was the same. It must be my driving style...
