  1. As far as I know, that's not how DtD works. The price they give is an actual dealer price I think.
  2. And on a Rapid! I can't make my mind up. The Rapid wasn't even in contention until i spotted that the Rapid Sport is just over £12k brand new on Drive the Deal. I know the Octavia is considered the better car, but that's a huge price difference. And then there's the Black Edition to consider too. Argh!
  3. I might have also just requested a test drive in a vRS. Oops
  4. Can you only take GAP out when brand new, or could you wait for 12 months and then buy it?
  5. Don't most insurance companies replace with new within 12 months of purchase on a brand new car, making GAP a bit of a waste of money?
  6. The wife hates the look of the Yeti, so that's a non-starter
  7. Hi All, I'm looking at buying a new Octavia (1.2 SE) very soon, and the finance deal looks very interesting. I would normally buy it outright, but 3 years servicing for free sounds too good to pass on. Does anyone know the T&Cs of the deal? Could i take out the finance and then pay it off straight away, and still get the 3 years servicing? Also, I've been reading this forum and the lead times on new Octavias is rather worrying. Does anyone know the current best estimate for a 1.2 SE? Thank you.
  8. Good morning all. I'm very close to ordering an Octavia 1.2 SE, subject to a test drive and seeing if it will fit on my drive without bottoming out, so I thought I'd sign up here. Are there any specific things that I should be looking at on the test drive, other than standard? Are there any "must have" options, or any to steer well clear of? I'm currently thinking Pacific Blue, with spare wheel and nothing else. Thanks!
