  1. After A LOT of scrolling I found & read your fog light post. Like you ideally I would really like them to match the DRL's. Have you got a link for the same pair of H8's you bought? If it's a quick snip of the bulb fitting then fine. Cheers
  2. H16's ok thanks will have a look around. Am I right in thinking there is 2 bulbs to replace per front fog light?
  3. Standard fog lights on VRS are shocking & I want to replace them. Whether I use Osram app, Halfords or Eurocar parts they all say a different bulb type! I pick my (newish) car tomorrow & don't want to take the light apart before having the bulbs I need to replace. Thanks
  4. If anyone is interested I have a complete have a cambelt kit including water pump for 2014 Octavia 2.0 CR TDI for sale. (genuine Skoda parts, receipts to prove it!) I don't have the part numbers with me right now but can provide later tonight if anyone is interested. (No longer need the parts due to me trading it into Skoda yesterday for a VRS!) Please let me know asap. Thanks, Dan
  5. Could the reverse LED bulbs also be used for the brake light bulbs? I have LED rear lights but noticed they are only side lights, brake lights are standard halogen
  6. Anyone have diagram of front/rear lower suspension on mk1 Octavia? Or list all components I need to buy? Want to replace all bushes/wishbones/drop links/track/tie rods/anti-roll bar bushes etc So far I have wishbones & drop links. Thanks!

So far I have wishbones & drop links.

    Thanks!

  8. Johnnytype2 - Have you replaced the puddle light bulbs? Got a link for the kit? Cheers
  9. Can anyone switch on rear lights with DRL's on 2014 Octavia for beer tokens in Norfolk/Suffolk?

  11. Xenon lights - Ah ok, well as much as I like the car, that's a little pricey! ACC - Did you already have the radar fitted before you started? LED's - understand the LED headlights would be illegal but I've bought & fitted genuine Skoda LED rear lights. Noticed its an optional extra. Columbus satnav - I only wanted this as I find the Armundsen screen a little small. Useful info cheers Bret
  12. I also wanted a full size spare wheel as I drove to Italy a few weeks after buying my 2014 Octavia. However, Skoda wanted £130! So went looking online found a brand new black steel rim for £32 & had a £30 tyre put on it. Pretty sure the rim spec (offset etc) will be the same. Do you want the details?
  13. Ah fair enough. Yeah I would like them as well but I'm guessing it they would be an expensive upgrade?
  14. I would like & would be very interested to find out what's involved/cost for: - Bi-xenon headlamps - Front parking sensors linked into Amundsen as OEM - Radar adaptive cruise control - All bulbs replaced with LED bulbs, starting with the puddle/mirror lights! - Amundsen unit replaced with the Columbus system
  15. Hi Guys, As some have mentioned, the exterior mirror/puddle lights are pretty poor. Has anyone actually replaced them? If so how easy to change without breaking the mirror glass? Ive seen lots of different sized LED 501's, which LED's are actually white, not blue/purple, but also fit the housing? Also, are the puddle lights monitored by the cars bulb blown system? What bulbs has anyone used? Thanks, Dan
  16. I've got the front radar option on my car, did I read somewhere that it might be possible to tweak the cruise control to 'adaptive' cruise control?
  17. Cheers wino. Think I've found it. Access is.......tricky & cannot get the cover off. However, I did clear some debris in the bulkhead area. I now have aircon drips on the floor. I've also checked the drain pipe from the inside & couldn't find any leaks there. But there are drips appearing in the drivers foot well. This only occurs when aircon is used. Any ideas anyone?
  18. Hi Guys, Can anyone tell, or show me with pics, the location for the air con drain hole on mk1 octavia? I've run the air con to try & find it but no drips or puddle ever appears underneath but does inside the car. Thanks, Dan

  20. Cheers guys all really useful stuff. Lots of rain last night & with it now leaking on both sides its becoming much more serious. After a bit of detective work I managed to find the rear drain holes & they appeared to be fine. So we reckon that its either the rubber pipe '13' on the diagram or the plastic hose that the rubber pipe connects too? Really hoping its not the plastic hose as there doesn't appear to be a part number for that. Just looking up youtube vids on how to remove the headlining.
  21. Cheers nige8021! What's your understanding of 'behind the shock absorber cover'? Does the shock/inner wheel arch plastic/mud flap need removing? Also, I can't quite make out exactly where I would pour water in from the top, in order to check its clear. Any ideas? Cheers, Dan
  22. Wet drivers floor :crying:

  23. Hi All, I have a leak running down the inside of drivers 'A' pillar. Although, it will occasionally also leak down the inside passenger 'A' pillar as well if I park half on/half off the curb. I've traced the leak to the sunroof & have checked both FRONT drain holes. There was a bit of gunk, however, having cleared these out completely I still have water trickling down the outside of the sunroof drain pipe! (I have poured water directly down the drain holes to clarify) Where are the REAR sunroof drain holes?? And where does the water exit the car?? I've heard they might be behind the rear mud flaps?? Someone suggested the rear sunroof drain holes may be blocked causing the front to be overwhelmed - resulting in a leak. I've spoken to my local stealership & would like £321!!!!! To remove the headlining & investigate. However, I would really like to clean out the rear drain holes before I even consider removing the headlining myself. Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks, Dan
  24. Hi Octman, I'm now having the exact same issue, did you get it resolved? If so, what do I need to do? Thanks, Dan
