Anyone? Don't know out of the 2 mats which one will fit because both look different which is confusing.

Very common issue on the Octavia, especially with the hatchback version. Main problem is the washer pipe that goes straight through the middle of the motor. I think I'm on number 3 or 4 now.........
The rear wiper is NOT an MOT testable item, so no worries there.
It's an easy enough job to replace, just remove the wiper arm, then the trim on the inside of the hatchback. Unplug the motor and washer pipe, and remove the 3 10mm bolts to remove the motor and replace. Biggest bugbear is replacing the hatchback trim -- do a search and there are plenty of threads on here about how the trim comes off and goes back on. Because of the angle of the open hatchback, you will find it far, far easier to replace if the hatchback is held in a nearly closed position when replacing the trim. It's easier to line up the trim and push home horizontally, than vertically upwards working high above your head.
Don;t bother trying to get a second hand motor -- that's why I've gone through so many. Just bite the bullet and buy a new one.
Mike
Understood, Cheers.

Anyone can help?

You can download a PDF of the manual here...
It details and illustrates the process and location.
Take a look here too for a step-by-step guide...

Thanks for the guide, Cheers.

List of VCDS owners: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com/
And even a map: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/224376-vcds-owners-map/
Should help you find someone local with any luck

It won't make any difference, the metal clips that hold the festoon bulbs are sprung loaded which means they can be flexed out to accommodate slightly different length bulbs.
It would be better to have a bulb slightly longer than one that is too short as the clips push on to the bulb from the outside.
As already mentioned, to be sure remove the existing bulb first and measure it.
Ok cheers,
Where is the sidelight bulb in the headlight assembly?

I want to buy these tailored car mats for my car:
https://www.valuecarmats.com/c/1212/skoda-octavia-2004-2013-car-mats
However I cant find any locator pegs in the footwells for the tailored mats to clip in. So my ambiente model doesn't have these as standard?
Where is the air filter?
Also regarding VCDS....
Is there a sticky on this forum about VCDS that shows software tweaks can be programmed for improvements? What are the most popular common software tweaks on this forum? Which tweaks affect MPG for the better or worser? Can VCDS update the car software and reset the software to factory settings? Can VCDS run proper diagnostics like in the Skoda dealers?

Check for recalls here:
http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/
The power steering is electric, no fluid.
Pollen filter is underneath the glovebox.
Ok does it need a special equipment to get the wheel alignment done because it is electric power steering or any garage with normal wheel alignment equipment can get it sorted?
-
Any recalls for this car?
Where is the Power Steering Fluid reservoir?
Which Spark Plugs are approved for this car and what space gap should they be set at?
Where is the Pollen filter located?

No one from Birmingham?

Can this problem cause a MOT failure?
Is there a picture/video guide on replacing the motor for a newbie like me?

All you need (and more) can be found here...
http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/204652-led-number-plate-light-bulbs-with-no-errors/page-1?hl=+led +number +plate
Yeah I checked out that link and it says on ebay that bulb length is 36mm. The dimensions you stated earlier in this thread is 38mm. Can you confirm whether its 36mm or 38mm?
-
Yes, although it is always best to remove the old one to be 100% sure before ordering replacements.
The number plate lights are easy to access, 2x small Torx screws and you are in.

Ok will these fit and work in the car?:
Its say 39mm length.
-
Ok so its a common fault and I can rule out its not fuse/relay/wiring etc?
What's the part called and how do I replace the part?
Once I replace it can I prevent the common problem happening again by spraying WD-40 or something?
-
Hi,
While driving today I activated the rear windscreen wiper but it just moved once halfway. I activated it again but its not moving and seems stuck halfway. I can see the washer fluid coming out of the back but not going on to the rear windscreen. Maybe the halfway wiper position is blocking the fluid getting on to the screen.
Any advise?

No, you'll need the ignitors and ballasts to run the xenon bulbs, a quite complicated and expensive option.
If you want the benefits of xenon's but without the hassle an aftermarket HID kit is the way forward.
See this thread for more information...
The C5W Festoon specs you need are:
Product Dimensions (mm): H 38 x W 11 x D 11
Weight (kg): 0.02
Voltage: 12v
Watts: 5w
ECE Type: C5W
Cap Type: S8.5d
Ok so the length of the C5W bulb is 38mm right?
-
Ok Im gonna update my location

All detailed in the owners manual.
Headlights are H7 (halogen), or D1S (xenon).
Number plate lights are C5W.
You'll need CANBUS friendly LED bulbs or they will trigger the on-dash blown bulb warning.
Can I just simply swap over H7 bulb for D1S xenon bulb without extra adaptations like xenon conversion kits to make it work?
What length are the C5W bulbs for this car?
-
Hi,
What kind of bulbs does the headlight take and how do I replace them?
Also for LED bulbs does this car require CANBUS error-free ones for it to work?
What kind of bulbs does the number plate take and how do I replace these?

If you press the unlock button twice in quick succession then all the doors will open.
It can also be coded to do it with one press.
Thanks how do I code it for one press?
-
Hi,
I don't know whether its a problem or a safety feature that is enabled.
The problem is when I remotely unlock my car the only door I can open is the driver door and remaining 3 doors and the boot does not open.
I have to go in the car and press the unlock button so passengers can open from outside. Or I have to pull the interior door handle twice to unlock that door for the passenger.
How do I get it back to normal again?
Thanks,

Ok understood I ask the local garages if they use Hunter branded equipment when I need to do the wheel alignment.
