For separate polish + protection try CarPro essence then using a sealant like Reload. Imo waxes are dead, sealants last longer and give better gloss and shine. For trim, CarPro PERL is good at giving a deep satin look and is pretty cost effective as it comes as a concentrate.

They're clamping down on emissions, same reason as to why you can't code start/stop to permanently be off now.

It's definitely 180kW/245PS as to not bite the toes of the Tiguan R (same reason as to why there's no 4x4 TSI Octy RS). The question is whether it's pure internal combustion or a PHEV setup.

The 180kW Tarraco FR PHEV (which the RS' diesel may be replaced with) does a 7.4s 0-100... And the facelift gets revealed next year with main change just being Matrix LED. If the RS does indeed get replaced with only PHEV, it'll be my last Skoda.

Basically it’s meant to stop giving you false warnings telling you to put your hands on the steering wheel on straight roads. Uses touch sensors inside the wheel instead of waiting for steering input.

Yep. only upgrade imo is the 2020 X5 30d which got a mild power bump to 210kW 650Nm. BMW NZ have no plans to bring the 40d which is annoying as I was interested in upgrading to that.

For reference, I own a Golf R Estate with a stage 1 tune - around 350hp and 470Nm. In 2017 I ordered a 190PS TDI and was very happy with it, but the power was lacking once loaded up. With the RS in its stock form however I’m happy with performance in every situation. I don’t really feel the need to tune it to be honest, just hate the super short 1st gear. It also handles pretty damn well for a 2 tonne SUV without needing all that fancy 48V anti rollbar stuff all the big Germans use. The normal models definitely handle softer (still fairly precise) but unless you have 20” rims the sidewalls do feel sloppy. So all in all, I reckon you’ll definitely be happy with the Kodiaq RS.

I believe to the factory the SE Drive would an SE with an option pack of whatever comes with the Drive over the standard SE. You'd probably getting an equivalent or better spec car

Wasn't it that the factory changes for the model year happened over a week when the factory closes? Obviously this year it's different because of COVID so they're still on catchup. As far as I'm aware the factory is supposed to be doing the changeover between 27 July and 7 August.

Yep! Had them on my first Kodiaq and honestly the incoming upgrades are making me seriously consider ordering another. With KESSY on all doors and full leather with ventilation, I’d literally have no complaints.

I’ve driven Kodiaqs with and without ventilation. You only notice it when you drive them back to back. If I do decide to order yet another Kodiaq RS, I’ll be ticking that box first.

Main difference is the new badging on the rear. Kodiaq facelift will be revealed next year, so perhaps you may want to wait for that instead. Model year 21 cars will have the new steering wheel from the Octavia, your 190PS TDI engine will be replaced with an updated 200PS TDI engine, KESSY sensors will be on all doors, and the new MIB 3 infotainment system makes it debut on the Kodiaq.
