  1. You may be able to get your dealer to defer your build week, when I ordered mine I got it delayed by two weeks if I remember correctly.
  2. Yes it’ll fit but the real question be is it plug and play...I’d be keen to change the steering wheel - can’t justify taking the depreciation loss on a 1 year old car just for KESSY on all doors, cooled seats, and the nice steering wheel (the only stuff I really care about)
  3. I think it's about a 3-5 weeks from order to getting your order locked in by the factory, can't remember all too well as we got our order placed in May deffered to get a MY20 build car. Dealers should have information communicated about MY21 changes within two weeks or so as far as I'm aware. Any build date past build week 30 will have the new parts i.e. steering wheel, MIB 3 infotainment, however it doesn't guarantee you'll get some new tech features like predictive cruise control etc.
  4. I know. No Kodiaq RS interior picture has been seen yet apart from my own go at a photoshop which I haven't put out in public for obvious reasons. Kodiaq doesn't have the ambient light on the passenger dash cause of the compartment behind the trim. I do agree that some angles the pictures look somewhat doctored, however it's a MY21 directive by Skoda to have the new steering wheel in all cars. Superb Sportline for example:
  5. I highly doubt that Skoda would use a VIN with a different country code than where it's actually built. Not sure if you're being satirical or are dead serious.
  6. MY21 Superb L&K will have DSG paddles, however no thigh extension for the front seats unlike the MY21 Kodiaq. MY21 Superb will also have Area View available.
  7. https://wroom.ru/news/11075 Looks like the Russian market is getting this drivetrain too, however I doubt the Australian-delivered Karoq will be manufactured there. Skoda's Nizhny Novgorod plant does CKD cars for their own market, and the Bratislava plant specialists in the assembly of MKD cars, until those land in Australia and can have their VIN checked, I reckon it'll be assembled at Mladá Boleslav or Kvasinky alongside the other Aussie cars.
  8. I'd be interested to read a review of it. Luckily here in NZ we get the Euro drivetrains, so for Karoq the 1.0 TSI manual (apparently this is just so they can say "FROM £18,000"), 1.5 TSI DQ200 and 2.0 TSI 4x4 DQ381. The 150PS TDI got discontinued for NZ.
  9. 91, 95, 98 RON, and just regular diesel, though they all have additives so maybe you'd call that premium. We follow Euro 6 fuel standards, so 10ppm sulfur in both diesel and petrol. Australia haven't been getting cars with petrol particulate filters until now, as while their diesel is 10ppm sulfur, regular gas has 150ppm sulfur content and 50ppm for premium. The Superb Scout is the first car to be sold there with a petrol particulate filter, and owners must be using premium gas or there will be no assistance from Skoda Australia if they have issues with the filter.
  10. Skoda New Zealand have good prices for the spec you get - my Kodiaq RS would have a retail price of £53k in the UK while mine came to around £38k. We used to have variable servicing with a 3 year warranty but now it's a fixed 15000km/1yr service regime with a 5 year warranty. All Skodas in China are built for the Chinese market by SAIC-Skoda, and aren't exported anywhere as far as I'm aware. Even Skoda Taiwan get European built cars. Australia abide by their own standards - the ADR (Australian Design Rules). The current emissions standard there is the ADR 79/04 which is based on Euro 5 standards. In New Zealand we follow ADR 79/04, Euro 5, Japan 09 (big grey market for Jap imports here) or US 2007. For cars there are other ADR's which results in cars coming here sooner as the homologation rules are less stringent here. There's no local development done in NZ, ECU mapping is no different to what Europe get.
  11. UPDATE: MY21 cars will be built from BW33 onwards. Just received news about the upcoming model year change. I have no proper confirmation, however down the grapevine, people who work for Skoda in some markets have divulged some information: • 190PS/140kW TDI new replaced with 200PS/147kW TDI engine • New 180kW TSI engine available (Update: Will be replacing the 176kW 2.0 BiTDI - end of production BW48) • New steering wheel from Octavia with capacitive hand detection • MIB 3 infotainment, which entails the following: USB C replaces USB A No more DVD/CD slot, SD slots Online functionality via eSIM (built in) • KESSY sensors for all 4 doors • Ventilation and seat depth adjustment available for RS/Sportline • Sleep Package temporarily removed (due to supply constraints) • ACC now only 210kph instead of 160/210 • Update: Predictive Cruise Control + multi-lane Emergency Assist available • Update: Media Control not available • Update: Beige interior for textile and Suedia upholstery not available • Update: Optional USB Type C socket in rear view mirror cover now available Here are some leaked images from Skoda of the new interior - main change is steering wheel. Last one is the Sportline, but that's the steering wheel expected to be used in the Sportline and RS. Skoda CZ should be releasing MY21 specification and price list next week.
