Has anyone managed to load a photo on the profile screen when the infotainment system loads up. Iv gone into the Skoda ID page on my computer and loaded a picture but its not showing up on the Infotainment system. Iv tried converting the photo into a PNG file but that does still not seem to work.

The new columns does not have any sd card slots only c type slots

Thanks for that though that might be the case which seems a bit backwards to me as not all radio stations have them

OK thanks. The new system does not have an SD card slot only 2 type c slots and the 12v socket

Can anyone tell me how to install radio logos on the new infotainment system pick up a new L&K yesterday and can't figure out how to add radio logos. The old infotainment system seemed a lot easier just plug in a USB stick but the new system has no USB you have to get a c type to USB adapter which I have but can't figure how to add them

Have changed the battery for new one but the button is getting worse taking ages to get it to start and even turning off so just hopping it last till I can get the new one Saturday. Just a quick question do you have to prize off the top cover first to get to the screws to take bottom cover off. Is this easy enough to do

When you have finished changing the button is there any recoding needed. Iv got new button on order from Skoda dealership can pick it up Saturday and fit it myself as long as it dose not need to be coded to my keys. I have the Kodiaq

My warranty is just out now. Popped into the Skoda garage today but they were not very help full told them the motor is on PCP and can go back now for change but they still wanted to charge me £95 just to do a diagnostic on it. Im a bit ****ed off why should i pay for the repair when its going back to them. If i was keeping the car i wouldn't mind. It there some were i can purchase the button myself and fit it myself

Having problem with the start/stop button, having to press and hold for extended period or even keep pressing it to get car to start. anyone managed to sort this problem out

Is it something that can be change myself as my Kodiaq is now out of warranty buy few months how much would they charge to replace it at skoda

Not happy with the gear change, may be its because the engine is still new ( only 4 months old ) but the gear change is not very smooth and putting the car in revers have to take care the gears don't crunch. Have taken it back to the garage for them to check it and an mechanic took it for a ride with me in it, said as far as he was concerned he was happy with the gear change and couldn't find a problem even when putting it revers, just need to give it a bit longer for me to get used to it. But its annoying me now and its not a pleasure to drive when you have to think about the gear change. Iv asked the sales manager if i can change the car for a DSG model but that dosent seem as easy as i thought it would be, due to the fact its on there PCP solutions agreement I was told you could return the car at any time exchange for a new model or keep the car or give it back, but this is not the case, was told you need to keep it for at least 12 months or more before you can change it, something to do with the finance payments and also the depreciation of the car as they have to sell it as second hand. Am waiting for a return call from the sales manager to see what solution they can come up with....... so watch this space will let you know what happens

It sounds the same on all the DAB stations and there is not much on the equalizer on the Amundsen to change only two options either music or speech there are no other equalizer options

I have the Canton system upgrade fitted to my Amundsen and not impressed with the sound at al,l fed up with having to turn the sound up and down, when someone is talking cant hear them on the radio so have to turn it up, but then when the music comes on its to load, dont know if it would be better with the Columbus fitted but £1000 is a lot to pay to find out if its still no good. People say on here the sound gets better but how long do you have to wait for this

Anyone else found when changing gear its not very smooth. I have the Octavia Hatch Elegance 1.4 TSI 140 Bhp PS 6G MAN, new from Manufacturers, Its realy Ping me off having to take care when changing gear, it feels cluncky putting it into gear, also when putting it in revers the gears crunch. I feel like returning the the car and changing it for the DSG model. I have the car on 4 year contract where you can either keep the car, return it or exchange for new modle on another contract. was going to change it after 12 months but dont know if i can put up with the gears for that long. Anyone change there car on the contract deal if so how did it work for you.

What is the largest SD card anyone has used in the Amundsen ????

Has anyone had this unit fitted to their Oct if so is it any good. Was told by the Skoda technician this is the better unit than the Columbus, and its cheaper to. I have the new Octavia elegance 1.4 TSI 140 BHP with the Canton speakers picked up last week. the unit thats in at the moment is the Amundsen.

Dose the Amundsen not play 5.1 surround then :(

Thanx everyone for the replys. Is it worth paying all that extra for the Columbus or just stick with the Amundsen. Seems a lot to pay for a hard drive , will it make the audio system sound any better as i like my music in the car. and sd card are cheap now anyway. Anyone know the max size of sd card that can be used in the Amundsen as it might be diffrent from the Columbus.

I just looked in my manual pack and it says that its the Amundsen thats fitted i thought that when i upgraded the system to canton it came with the Columbus Navigation. have they fitted the wrong unit. or have i got to pay even more for the Columbus.

I think there is something wrong with my Columbus as there is no option in the settings to transfer the sat nav info off the sd card, i dont think there is any internal storage to store it on. in the set up there is no option to manage jukebox so cant transfer music files off sd card ether. I payed extra for the canton system. Do you think the Columbus has a fault as im booked into the skoda garage on monday for it to be checked
