  1. I will have to get Madrunner to translate for me.
  2. It obviously isn't a Briski bike meet unless cake is consumed. It is the law!
  3. Told you I don't trust the BBC. It is pi$$ing down now! I think you are right Oli Manyana!
  4. Well it rained about 20 minutes ago but the sun is out now and the BBC say it is going to stay out! Not that I would trust them anyway. So I may have to nip out on one or t'other but no cake as I have had a huge slice of carrot cake already.
  5. Ah cake! Now there is a thing. On the bike night in Louth I walked down and met up with some of the RATS. Took them to my fave cafe in town where cake was consumed. Jane and I just happened to be in there the other day and the lady who runs it informed me there was carrot cake today and if we called in we could have tea and cake on the house for swelling their numbers on what was a very wet and quite night for them when I invaded with the RATS. So not only cake today but FREE cake.
  6. I think I have wondered into the wrong section of the forum again!
  7. Considering 'most' beemers only have two I find your logic flawed! Three is an odd number. I 'do' odd!!!
  8. I think you Beemer Boys should have your own section then us 'normal' folk don't have to risk lock jaw with all of the yawning!
  9. I would rather lick up one of Charlie's 'accidents' in the kitchen. Without fries! WTF is the point of a warm soggy sesame seed bun?
  10. It would have been cheaper to have knitted one! Oh and just for the record you will NEVER call for a McDonalds while you are with me!
  11. I can confirm they area 'bit' loud but then I am a firm believer that can also be an aide towards helping others to be aware of your presence even if they don't see you. Not to be relied upon entirely obviously.
  12. Good advice that. Thing is for me I am happy to pay the £60 to have Trevor do it as I just know there is no way I would spend 3 -4 hours cleaning my bike in the freezing cold as he does. I do not have a garage and he has to do it outside (under a gazebo if need be) and this year it was in December and the year before January! His luck has improved though as I now have a shed.
  13. It is actually Trevor that does my bike as he is from Lincoln. He is very thorough and each bike takes him 3 - 4 hours. He has done mine twice now and I shall certainly be using him this back end to do the TEX again. As you say Ade the ACF50 is a bit gloopy of sprayed on. It is better to spray onto a rag and then wiped on sparingly but of course they do it with a compressor and sprayer because it mists into the places that we couldn't possibly reach. I haven't tried the FS365 so cannot comment on it other than to say if you are happy with it Ade it can't be bad!
  14. I have done Striding Edge and that certainly isn't a place you want to be distracted on. If you google All year biker you should find someone near you with a bit of luck. Had mine done twice now and when it is finished it looks showroom standard with the real point being the ACF50 protects the stuff you cannot see.
  15. I take it the plumber is referring to me Kev. So that will be the Mach Loop then I guess. Not been myself and would love to but I may see the odd one or two in the Lake District next month when I am up there. Had two fly over us in the Golf when we had the roof down last time we were up there. Nearly crapped myself! I agree entirely about keeping the bikes clean as they are a lot of money and it would be daft to just let them get crucified by salt and rubbish. Hence why mine is treated by All Year Biker every year and then I can just hose it down and dry it off without getting all anal about it. Fingers crossed for good weather when you pick it up anyway.
  16. Yes certainly thinking about doing the oil change on the Tiger when it is due.
  17. I suppose you have a drip tray to put underneath it when it is parked up as well then.
  18. Just been out for a quick blast on the Daytona. Gave it a 'very' quick clean before I left and checked the tyre pressures. The back one is losing air so popped it on the paddock stand and the only thing I can find is it looks like it has been plugged before. I cannot see it leaking from there but it may well be slowly. That or it isn't sat on the rim properly. In any event I cannot say I am too happy about having a repair in the centre of the tyre. So that will be looked at better next week. Met up with some of the RATS for a brew and a natter. Went to the first meeting place and it was shut. No one else turned up but I was slightly early there. Waited around for a while then checked FB on my phone and they had changed the venue so off again. Why they didn't send a text which I would have heard arrive instead of a message on FB I don't know but sorted it in the end. Nice brew and excellent cake then straight back home as it is bloody freezing out there. Luckily I had dresses accordingly but nevertheless I am still cold and sat at home with the heating on trying to thaw out in the second half of June FFS! Looks like it starts to warm up from tomorrow again and not before bloody time.
  19. Nice looking apart from the spokes! I cannot even begin to think how much I would hate cleaning spokes. Having said that I am renowned for not cleaning the alloys either.
  20. Never tried a Schuberth but I always have trouble finding something to fit my weird shaped bonce. Ended up with a Caberg which I know isn't the best but at least if is comfortable to wear for hours. Must get to a stockist and try them for fit though. Of course the other constant unknown when buying a new helmet is what is it like for noise because none of us are built the same or sit the same on the bike. I am always dubious about buying a helmet on line but I know Sports Bike Shop do the free postage and return adn it isn't that far from me so I could pop across there one day. I am sure I know somewhere around there that do cake as well! We went for a cheaper comms unit but it works OK for us and allows clear conversation between us up to quite reasonable speeds  . Also the odd occasion I have had to answer the phone it has been crystal clear both ends while on the move as well. Never listen to music well not unless it is the 3 into on with baffle removed sort anyway.
  21. I am sure that the Saab twin turbo 9-3 convertible I had was a rogue car and the garage could never cure the DPF issues. Sadly it ruined the experience for me but I am not saying I wouldn't have another one as I think they are still one of the best looking rag tops out there and they were comfortable as well. Even the dash looked stylish and made the car a pleasant place to be. Can't say I am that bothered about whether a rag top is diesel or petrol as all the newer engines are very quiet in comparison to the diesel engines of old. I can honestly say I never find the engine in our Golf to be intrusive the the top up or down. My only word of warning would be make sure you look into some form of warranty for the car or leave sufficient out by for any problems as they are getting to be a little bit old now.
