  1. Just to update this it looks like the codes didn't clear as they are still there. I had it scanned using VCDS and the picture is below. The codes need to be cleared in order to do the basic settings so that's not an option. I need to locate one of the motors to see if I can follow the procedure below (Audi Technical Service Bulletin): If this adaptation procedure is not successful, gain access to either the sunroof motor V1 or to the sunroof sunshade motor V260. Using an Allen wrench de-couple the motor and depending on the sunroof panel or sunshade position manually turn the motor approximately ¼ turn in a free direction (e.g. open if component is closed, closed if component is open) then ¼ back. Neither the sunroof motor nor the sunroof sunshade motor (Figure 3) need to be removed for this step. In many cases this will reestablish the hall sensor orientation and the adaptation will then run. Try to run the adaptation procedure again.
  2. Thanks for the reply. I have tried the reset on the windows but it didn't make any difference. It is strange though that the key fob will open but not close the drivers window (when set to drivers window only). Re the sun blind codes I believe they were cleared but I'll check with the garage and get them to run the basic settings with the scanner as you suggested.
  3. Has anyone had a similar issue? My sunshade wont open and neither will my sunroof. I have tried the procedure below. When I hold the sunroof button I can hear a noise after the 7 seconds or so but it doesn't open. The sunshade procedure doesn't do anything but there is a noise (like something activating) every time I press the button to close position. I have attached a picture of the error codes. Also my window open/close key fob function has decided to stop working. It doesn't work when set to all 4 windows but it will open the drivers window when set to drivers side only (but not close it). I have tried the reset procedure here as well. Maybe both issues are related? Any guidance would be much appreciated. ve tr
  4. Cheers, not sure on the fitting, the guys do a lot of this type of stuff but I'll pass on the info.
  5. Thanks, I emailed Autodoc this morning with the information so now waiting to hear back. I also queried if their info is correct (i.e. possibly an updated spec from KONI). If they replace them I want to be sure I have the correct shocks.
  6. That's the one. Perfect thanks, I knew I had checked on their site at some stage. Question now is why Autodoc have a different shock advertised. Have Koni revised the spec without updating their own info or are Autodoc just wrong?
  7. Is yours fwd as well? I know others have used them so just trying to see if there are many others with the same car so I can argue the case if it comes to it. I know @Esseesse200had them on the diesel and now petrol but both were 4wd (but I don't think that makes any difference to fitment).
  8. Picture of the shock attached. It appears that it unthreaded itself maybe when the wheel was turning? I did approx. 13.000 km without any issue and then I could hear a noise from the front suspension which got progressively worse. My mechanic also said he fitted new front top mounts/bushings as far as I can recall. Now trying to ascertain if they are the correct part for the car or not.
  9. Any issues with your suspension? My front passenger side shock decided to unthread itself! I ordered from Autodoc as well and I am going through the warranty procedure. They came back with the response below: "Unfortunately, the part 8745-1388 KONI from order No. 66464866 is not compatible with your vehicle. This could be grounds for the manufacturer to refuse warranty service." I have a fwd 2016 2.0tdi 190bhp combi and all appeared to match when I ordered. Did I get it wrong, I thought others with 2wd and same car had used these? Thanks
  10. Wow what a sweeping statement. Happy Christmas!
  11. Yes but as I said in the post the light went off for no reason and has stayed off. So was there ever an issue or just some threshold exceeded for a milli second or two and the car throws up a fault. The garage owner is a friend and isn't interested in fixing something if it doesn't need fixing.
  12. I have a January 2016 190 diesel and my engine.management.light came on about a month ago. It threw up a no of codes but the car drove perfectly so I had the garage clear the codes. About a week later the light came back on with a glow plug code and emissions code. Cleared it again and it came back on within 24 hours. There was no change in the drivability of the car so I didn't change the glow plug. Last week the light went off and is still off. Maybe it's battery age related? Not sure but garage says nothing to worry about, modern cars throw up codes for the slightest issue.
  13. That's what I ordered in the link I posted, the serial numbers are in the pics, ordered from Autodoc and I believe I have the same car as you?
  14. Check out this topic..... https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/503132-koni-special-actives-front-only-or-all-4/?do=findComment&comment=5663895
  15. Konis fitted yesterday and I'm happy to report they make a big difference. I'm also running H&R lowering springs along with poly bushes in the rear. Instantly the car feels more planted and slightly harder giving a more sporty feel to the setup. I had many country roads where the car would loose it's composure at relatively slow speeds due to undulations in the road. I've tested most of these with the konis and the issues I had are now gone. Speed bumps were woeful before, my mud flaps used to touch on a daily basis at anything above crawling speed. Now I can go over the same bump at a higher speed without any issues. I always felt that the shocks were inadequate and made the car unsafe under certain circumstances but now I have far more confidence in the car especially on unknown roads. Highly recommended😀🏎
  16. Looking good! Shocks being fitted Thursday (hopefully) so time will tell. Even if I could find a 272/280 I couldn't take the mpg hit. I've averaged 52.7 over the last 4 years. Anyway back to what matters, how much bhp with the remap?😀
  17. No not bothered about the rear arb. After fitting the springs I can power through roundabouts and slower bends without a problem. Might be even better with the konis fitted. Not too bothered about higher speed scenarios.....for now!
  18. Hopefully they will be okay. One of the other guys on here had them with the same springs without any.problems. he said he checked with koni and as long as the drop isn't greater than 40mm they will work as intended. If not I still have the original springs😟
  19. Thanks for the info re autodoc, just ordered a set of 4. 4 years of ownership, 3 on lowered springs, time to sort out speed bump drama😀 hopefully!
  20. Friend of mine in Czech has a 2016 190 tdi combi the same as mine. I changed my cambelt at 5yrs/~100k km so I told him to see if his was due to be replaced. Skoda garage sent him away and said interval was 200k km! No time limit!
  21. This only happened to me yesterday. 2016 190tdi. I parked the car in the garage and after a while I heard the fan running, thought it was a regen but odd that it started after car was switched off. It kept going so I realized it wasn't a regen as that normally results in a smell. Anytime I opened the drivers door the fan stopped. Once the door was closed for 20/30 seconds it came back on. The fan kept running so I parked the car outside and then it stopped. Later that evening I switched on the ignition and the low battery warning triangle flashed up. I turned the ignition off and on again and no warning. Car started fine today and no issues. Battery has never given any problems either. Maybe the relay is thinking about dying! Interesting to find this post👍
  22. Have you a link for the switch? 2 of the 4 switches on mine have lost auto function so need to change it. Ridiculous that vw can't make a switch that lasts, never experienced this before on any car!
