  1. I would second that, the car being under warranty it would be my first port of call. Also check the drains around wipers are clear, mine were full of cherryblossom!
  2. Doesn't sound normal. Is she still under warranty? Have you sun roof? How are the door seals at top of doors?
  3. Thanks for quick reply, thats what I thought. Just have to remember to press button..
  4. Hi, I have an Elegance with the front and rear sensors. I notice that the front sensors only work if you have already engaged reverse, or if you have pressed the switch beside gear change. I would like them always on, much handier if you are driving forward into a parking space. Had a look in manual but couldn't find any way of permanently having them on. Cheers..
  5. After two and a half months ownership from new, here are a few of my thoughts on the Superb: Like the space and practicality of the hatch, almost as good as the estate. Can take 3 BMX bikes plus 3 kids and myself! Like the Elegance spec, especially the lights and the cream leather. Like the car on the road. Pleasantly suprised with the 1.6 Diesel, economy around 57 MPG so far fill to fill. Gears need to be used at slower speeds, but box so light and precise it's no effort. As a cruiser its powerful enough, very stable, quiet. Good weighted steering at speed. Also for such a big car, it's not too wide, so easy in congested areas. Like the look of the car. Especially the front. Has a very elegant low profile look. Car feels very solid, doors clunk nicely, door and window seals very good. Like how easy it is to wash the car, can run over the car very quickly with a microfibre mitt, then dry with a microfibre towel. Large flat areas with few sharp or recessed areas. Like the colour. Sparkle in the Magnetic brown changes colour depending on different light. I have posted some pics on the Picture Thread above. Overall very happy with the car, granted there are a few things that I am not so happy with, but will wait for new thread! Also love the external looks of the new model, but will reserve opinions of the interior until I see it. I must be sad, because I still look out the window of my study at the car, the heavy rain at the moment beading and running off...
  6. A few more of my 2015 Magnetic Brown Metallic Superb. Difference in colour in different lights..
  7. First time posting pic, if works will try a few more..
  8. Yes its ok when used to it. I also drive a Ford and find it more intuitive. Better than the Jap Cars. Light switches should not be rotary on the end of indicator stalk, with rear wiper on end of other stalk. I am continuously turning off the lights instead of rear wiper, especially when I hire a car in Australia where they reverse the indicator side. Not good!
  9. It's bad design that to turn on fog lights you have to click light switch two clicks. If you do this slowly it turns off main lights and switches to side lights. Not what you want to happen on a bad busy foggy night. Happened to me when I first got car and gave me a hell of a fright!
  10. I had three kids of similar vintage on a journey the other day. I was wondering why they were smirking, they were seeing who could bear the heated seats for the longest!! Later discovered blue marks on back seats from swetty denims. Had some Maguires Leather cleaner in the shed, which cleaned leather quickly and easily. I suppose the good thing with the ivory leather is that you clean off stains immediately rather than leaving them to accumulate on darker seats.
  11. My fourth fill to fill fuel check today. (And probably last for a while now that I have a good idea what she's doing) 933.9 Kms / 45.74 L = 4.89 Kms per 100L. (57.7 MPG) Computer 4.6L/100 Kms (6% Optimistic) Mixed driving, not much stop start. No motorways. Sorry for boring you all, but I am so impressed by the economy of this car, I was expecting perhaps 50 MPG with careful driving. I am not trying to be particularly fuel efficient, just driving normally, at the speed limit of about 100 KPH. Average MPG to date is 56MPG. To add: Using aircon quite a lot lately, one of the problems with the darker colours. No need yet in our silver car!
  12. Great pics Keltic. I have the same colour out and in. To answer question above re pale coloured interior, I find it very easy to keep. Only dirt showing so far is on the dark carpets and plastics.
  13. Looks great, well may she ware! I think the brown is the best colour for the Ivory interior, perhaps i'm a bit biased
  14. I would be suprised if it did fit the Octavia, but could be wrong. Check the supplier and see if there is a similar product for your car.
  15. Happened to me last week for first time. Well first time that I noticed. Fan stayed on after car switched off for about 2 minutes. I could smell heat from under bonnet and around exhaust. Also noticed that engine shut off not working and revs about 100 more than normal. Also economy on this trip would normally show as 4.7L/100kms, but this time was 5.2. This trip was about 70 kms, so regen must have started near end of journey. Next trip everything was back to normal.
  16. Mine arrived this morning. Ordered 25/4. Fits perfectly, great value.
  17. Great minds think alike! Great colour combo, I really like mine, the same inside as Superb170, although mine is the lowly 1.6 Diesel. Shows the dust in dry weather, but looks well and easy to keep now that its wetter! Enjoy...
  18. Third fill up this morning. 5.14 L/100 kms (55MPG) Puter said 4.7 L/100 kms (9.5% optimistic) Over the 3 fills so far, computer has been on average 10% optimistic. Actual average to date 55.43 MPG. More than happy that such a big comfortable car can give such economy, especially since there were no long trips on this fill.
  19. Normally I hate the look of steering wheel covers, though have to admit that looks pretty good!
  20. Thanks, that what I thought. Pity they are so bright even when turned down. On other make cars I drive they turn down unnoticable.
  21. I drive quite a lot at night in the country on quiet roads. Am finding the interior diffuse lights that are integrated in the front interior lighting a bit too bright. Have turned the rheostat to lowest position. Any way of turning them off? I like a dark car inside at night, so will probably end up sticking something over the bulbs to dim them further if cannot turn them off. Managed to turn the footwell lights off on the MFD when driving, they were set on as default.
  22. Ordered mine today, estimated delivery 11/5 - 29/5. Unfortunately the weak Euro has pushed it over € 11.
  23. About 4.9L/100 kms (57 MPG) if my calculations are correct. Exactly the same as my last fill.
  24. 4/5 kms is about average. The ford I drive is about 4 km/hour and the toyota about 6 km/hour over.
  25. At least a quick hose down then dry with chamois leather is keeping her spotless for the moment.
