  1. Working again now for me
  2. I am on an extension cable and it works fine with 3 pin charger. It’s a single 6m extension lead (not on a reel) i have sockets in the garage and just run the cable to the car under the door with the plug just inside the door where it’s dry
  3. I spent a long time looking for something that would arrive sooner but i was tied to getting a new car or a stock car with delivery miles as its a company car order. If I was a private buyer I would not have waited so long. Probably would have just waited it out with the car I already had. Annoyingly I Had to buy the wife a replacement car last autumn while everything was still tight and had to pay an inflated price for it (mk7 golf) I am enjoying it. It’s good to be back in a car after nearly 5 years in an SUV. I never really became fond of my old Kodiaq. It was a good car but underpowered and thirsty
  4. I’ve seen a similar thing when charging using the 3-pin. It’s not pulling the full amount the whole time. Seems to average around 1.5kWh per hour according to Octopus
  5. Skoda servers seem to be down at the moment which might be causing your issues
  6. 3.6kW is the max with a type 2 charger cable. So If you have a home wall box charger or use the charging network, this is what you’ll be able to charge at. Should take about 3 or 4 hours to do a charge If you can only charge from a household plug (13amp/3pin socket), then the supplied charger for that is rated at 2.3/2.4kW which means it takes 5-6 hours to charge this way
  7. Yep same for me. Reports of it being down since about 9AM this morning
  8. Yep! It’s the same across all VW group phevs. The new 1.5s coming out next year in the new passat, superb and kodiaq have faster charging mine takes a good 5-6 hrs to charge on a 13 amp plug.
  9. If you are on a time of day tariff like octopus intelligent, it should cost you £1 for a full charge for ~30 miles of driving. Even at 60MPG it will cost around £3.50 for the same amount of petrol at todays prices. If you’re not on a time of day tariff. Then it is pretty close
  10. If you are on a time of day tariff like octopus intelligent, it should cost you £1 for a full charge for ~30 miles of driving. Even at 60MPG it will cost around £3.75 for the same amount of petrol at todays prices. If you’re not on a time of day tariff. Then it is pretty close
  11. You can use the app to tell the car to “start charging” so it ignores any plans / off peak timings. If you’ve not set these up yet, then I would think the issue lies elsewhere. Once you get the app set up properly I’m sure you’ll be ok
  12. My SEL took 18 months but it is the phev version. From getting a build week to it actually being built took about 6 months (given a build week for September during April ‘23, and car was delivered in October. The build week was pretty accurate all the way and didn’t move around much i was surprised when mine arrived with a manual boot release but I also don’t miss having an electric one
  13. Low 20s sounds lower than i would expect but I’ve not had this scenario myself yet. My battery did run out the other day in the middle of a short journey but I’d made multiple journeys that day, all on the battery, and the ‘since start’ data hadn’t had time to reset. The engine warmed up very quickly and once it was up to temp it shut down at every opportunity. The average never dropped below 300mpg My last car was a kodiaq and that would certainly be in the low 20s on the type of journey you describe. (1.5 TSI DSG) so I suppose what you describe is possible if the engine was running constantly (it will run as long as you are moving until it’s warmed up) and you were in traffic with heaters on etc It shouldn’t be wasting fuel charging the battery by default. You can adjust the charging behaviour in the settings but I think this resets every time you get in If you get a chance to charge it, you’ll definitely see a big benefit on these types of journies
  14. On my iv I’ve been experimenting with the left paddle to start high regen rate; on my car I just need to press it once briefly and it gives me high regen until I use the accelerator again, by which time it goes back to auto mode. So it’s working in my car just as the person above mentioned they wished it could. Mine is brand new on software version 1941 When I press the left paddle I also briefly see in the virtual cockpit screen an indicator that the car is in M2 or M3 etc instead of D mode. But even with the engine running it doesn’t seem to actually affect the gear selected my kodiaq had the paddle shift so it’s felt quite natural going over to this system from that car
  15. The car still on BST as I forgot to change it yesterday. I’m not using anything other than the Skoda app and the cable to a 3 pin plug. So it must be the car’s fault? No big deal. Have stopped using the octopus app for now. Will maybe try it again in a few weeks when I know I don’t need to do a full charge on it or something
  16. Charged last night via the Skoda app all fine. Only is issue was the clocks changed Sat night so it started charging an hour early!
  17. Looking for a fitted dog crate for in the boot of our Octavia. We have quite a big dog so it probably needs to be maybe 3/4 of the size of the boot. We have an IV estate with the pan roof so we don’t have the same available loading height as some other models Does anyone have any recommendations ? Thanks in advance!
  18. Is there a lower tariff if it’s charging on demand or is it still 7.5p/kwh?
  19. I’ve just tried octopus intelligent out last night after picking up the car yesterday and I’ve had a similar experience. Went from 0 to 33% charge only last night So it sounds like I should remove the car from the app and set up a charging plan in the car’s menu / app instead?
  20. The dealer supplied one meets your requirements. Granted, it’s not cheap but looks ok compared to others I’ve seen
  21. After 18 months and 6 days, I’ve finally taken delivery!
  22. I would always go for a darker colour if the car has a lot of chrome/silver detailing so for me I’d go for the grey on an SEL and maybe silver on the VRS
  23. Mine arrived at the dealers this week. Tomorrow will be the 18 month anniversary of the order date Collecting on 30th or 31st. Just in time as the tax on my kodiaq runs out on the 31st
  24. I got an update from my dealer last week. My SEL IV Estate is now built and in transit to UK. Should be ready to pickup mid-October total waiting time: 18 months. Original dealer estimate was 10-12 months really shocking to see some much older orders only just getting fulfilled!
  25. My fronts were down to the sensors a month or so ago and rear discs were badly scored after 34k miles Skoda Warrington quoted over a grand for disc and pads all round My local National did the front pads (discs had minimal wear), rear discs and pads for £450
