  1. the sunglasses holder in the roof rattles for me. When you press gently, the rattle completely stops No sunglasses are in the holder either, so its not me going bonkers!
  2. +1 for Noco they're great, mine was circa £100 and works flawlessly about 3 years later
  3. I seem to remember, when you charge the HV battery, it also tops up the 12V. So in doubt, plug in
  4. that means the HV battery needs charging - if you plug it in, the message will go away. When the HV battery is empty, the car seems to really not like you driving it with fairly constant warnings. Its probably not great for battery health either, as ideally theres a buffer to keep charge within it
  5. Can confirm the holder is empty - so not rattling glasses
  6. Has anyone experienced a particularly annoying rattle from the sun glasses holder by the interior lights? Theres something within the hinge that has a high pitched rattle (my guess is a spring) on rough ish roads, even on motorways sometimes. I have confirmed its the actual holder, as the rattle stops when i push it gently up. Will post a video when i get a chance
  7. If fully charged on a long run, expect 65 - 70MPG , when driven sensibly. Once you're out of juice, its more like 50 ish MPG If you can do the majority of your local runs on electric, it makes great sense. Then you use fuel as needed on big trips.
  8. if you turn off lane assist AND cruise control you see on the odometer (on my Octy iV)
  9. I thought this was to do with state of charge in 12V battery? I'm confident that unless the engine is running, the alternator isn't working whilst in E mode, so if your 12V is low, it will stay in Hybrid Mode
  10. I suggest you look up some local independent specialists. If you google "independent skoda specialists" with your area, you'll get a list of suggestions tell them about your issue and see what they say about it being drivable
  11. Put some proper tyres on it - avoid chinese ditchfinder brands at all costs Hankook, Pirelli, Continental, Michelin etc - the choices are endless
  12. I recently just did my first long journey in the Octy SEL iV a few months after getting it. North Yorkshire to London and back in the day. Battery fully charged, hybrid mode and eco setting on - averaged 64 MPG on way down, but interestingly the whole battery was used by the time i reached central ish London. Way back i got 55MPG with no electric help. Got home with approx 130 miles range - circa 1/3 to 1/4 of tank left. i've only done approx 3K miles in 3 months, so engine is still quite tight. Looking forward to it loosening up!
  13. I've had this pop up on a brand new SEL iV but for front assist - particularly in the cold weather, a few times. Initially says unavailable then goes away Assuming this is due to ice on sensors?
  14. Hi guys, I've now starting to settle down with my Octy. I had a Golf GTE previously, in the displays i could see the number of miles done on journey with the break down between electric miles from the electric motor and petrol miles from the engine. Is there anything like this lurking within the skoda menus? I've had a good look and recently drawn a bit of a blank
  15. Hi guys, bit of a weird one here - i've had my iV about a week since delivery previously had a golf gte - charged with granny 3 pin charger for 5 years - plug in, press button and it charges to 100%. I cannot work out how to get a full charge on the Skoda - mine was plugged in at work from before 9 and left at 5 and was charged to just 50%. I've checked settings - increased minimum charge amount to the max 50% but theres nothing immediately obvious as to what i'm doing wrong. Can anyone advise - would be very grateful! cheers Ps Have downloaded the MySkoda app but haven't got round to setting up Primary user profile with both keys
