  1. i'm in bedford (50m from london), and toms on the south coast so i'd say it would be tricky for us.
  2. i'd love to say it'll fit. but we all know the skoda design team had been on the vodka at lunch when they scetched out the pick-up.
  3. a company called MIJ did mine. i went for the full on ear splitter, but they will do what ever you ask.
  4. I dont normaly pick on spellings or punctuation, however Babs does have a point. As for the speedo drive. i have heard storys of them dropping in, but have never managed it my self. would it fit through the drain plug???
  5. there are two different end mounts to!!!! one has a squair block inbetween two rubber pads. the other dosent
  6. dissconnect the battery over night. reconnect battery and turn the key till all the dash lights come on and leave it there for a few min. then start and take for a long(ish) drive. that may well re set it.
  7. as tom said, you can cook felly brakes easy. i'm using some grooved discs with EBC green stuff pads, and this set up is MUCH better. i would say ABS is gunna stress the brakes more, because once a wheel is locked, the disc isn't building up heat.
  8. finally got over to a friends today and bagged me some time on his mill. managed to get one of the hub carrias opened out and it all seams to go together fine. just need to do the other side now, and get some new R32 top mounts (the ones off the scrapper are not in a good way. only real problem is clamping the dam thing down to machine it. had to use quite a long tool bar in the cutting head, to avoid smashing the clamps and the tool holder. but with some very un texbook machineing and balls of steel we managed it.
  9. how do you manage to get the driveshafts out? i have tryed to remove them before but they never seen to want to budge...
  10. i would have been tempted to walk back in and ask for my money back, as you have been charged the hourly rate for a trained tech, but have obviasly not recived this service.
  11. nice, nothing beats ragging it round a field.
  12. so creaky suspension and a suspect head gasket.. sounds like you driving a felicia lol the hear dont sound to bad. how low does the coolant get? mine will always settle on the min mark no mater how often i fill it to max. the rear creak might just be the springs turning in there seats?????
  13. i'll look into it. i know the connection into the felicias drums are the same as the ones in the the corrado calipers, but they use a differant size spanner???????????????????
  14. not sure, now the bleed nipple is slightly higher than the brake line. they look the same at a clance, infact could i swap the bleed nipple and the brake line round so then it would all be the right way round exept the hand brake link.
  15. got the new 4 stud discs today. pressed the new bearings in and fitted them to the rear beam. i also flipped the calipers over so the right is on the left and left on the right. i have done this because of the hand brake cable roughting is fouled with them the right way round. just need to pick up some flex hoses now and its all good(ish)
  16. all i need to do is get the hub carryers opened out, then i'm 99% sure it's gunna go.
