  1. Ant a bit off topic but what tyres are you using? I'm on 320hp currently and I'm looking to go either Yoko ad08r (245) or possibly Michelin PS4S (245) before I go for any Is38 upgrades. I currently run 235/35/19 Dunlop SportMaxx RT2 which are good but just not up to the task when really pushing.
  2. 19" Skoda Xtreme wheels for sale with 235/35 R19 Dunlop SportMaxx RT2 tires for sale! Tires have only one season on them. Wheels are in mint condition, never curbed, and never driven during winter months - so not run during salting or sanding of roads. All clean and ready for pick-up in East Midlands for 1000£ I'm selling as I'm going on wider wheels and tires and sub 40 offset next spring.
  3. Selling the original Octavia VRS mk3 coil springs as I went down the coilovers road. These should be 12 mm lower than the standard Octavia trims and are ideal for lowering non VRS cars. Not too low or hard they're a nice balance of performance and comfort. Selling all 4 for £80, pick-up location is East Midlands. I also have all 4 Octavia VRS mk3 dampers but one was leaking when I swapped. Offer me something and I'm happy to include them as well.
  4. Hi all, Selling 2 Landsail LS988 tires with 6mm tread left for £50. Basically just looking someone to take them off my hands. Location for pick-up is East Midlands.
  5. Hi all, Selling Michelin Pilot Sport 3 with 5mm tread left as seen in the pictures. Price for all 4 is £150, and I'm sure they're good for a few seasons or a track day or two. East Midlands is the location for pick-up.
  6. I've thought about the same things and once I started paying attention to it, I realised I don't rest my hand on it. Being a European I actually do the opposite, I hold the wheel with my left hand whenever I'm not changing gears, as that was my window arm for 15 years of driving. As the original shifter lasted 2 years and 23k miles with the previous owner, I just think it's a really badly made shifter. I have my eyes on an A3 and A4 S-line knob which I'll probably try before going to BFI or any other aftermarket ones, as those are quite expensive actually, and often require customisation to the shifter itself
  7. Zolmajstor I'd go to the local official servis and complain. Even if it's wear and tear item, it should last years after warranty ends. Or back to the sales guy that sold you the car, he may be able to help as well.
  8. I'll sell them in about a month or two, when I put my winter 18" on. So if you can wait until end October or start November I'd happily sell them.
  9. Yeah they're quite nice looking, but unfortunately not wide enough, so I'll be selling them over the winter period. I want to buy a wider rim with a smaller offset, so that I can increase tire width and push the wheel out for a better look without needing to go for spacers.
  10. Corrected. Images had to be resized so i couldn't finish the post on my phone - had to finalize it on laptop
  11. It's been a while with the summer vacations and all, but during our France trip I got the brake wear warning, meaning pads needed replacing. So I've did some research, and bought Mtec J grooved discs and yellow stuff pads. Had ebc brakes on my older cars, and even though they had problems with them a few years back I decided to give them a go. I also decided I'll do the disc and pad swap myself. So here are a few before and after pictures: 80K mile discs which were vibrating at highway speeds breaking: Without the wheel: Mtec Grooved disc on: Disk, pads and wheels all assembled: And old vs new pads: Now all i have to do is go through the annoying bedding in process.
  12. No idea, I hope they change it under warranty. I'm already out of warranty so I need to find a different solution. Let me know if you manage to get it changed. I wonder if the new facelifted version will have the same shifters and the same problems
  13. No idea :/ I'm fed up with knobs so I'll buy the BFI one, if I can get my hands on one, and swap it with the original.
  14. 40K miles later the new shifter started flaking as well. Seems I'll have to try an aftermarket one, as these Skoda ones aren't lasting long. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know!
  15. Thanks gents. I've swapped it at VRS Northampton a few months back and forgot to close the topic :/ Edit: for some reason I can't close it
  16. Itch scratched, car not for sale anymore. Decided I'll keep it. Can I ask the mods to close this thread? Can't find the way to do it myself
  17. Haha I'd consider a straight swap, but that's about it!
  18. I have a 2 seater rwd itch that's been bugging me for some time, so I've decided to put my car on sale. Black VRS 2.0 TSI (315) 19" wheels Bilsteins And loads of other kit. I've made approx 40.000 miles since April 2016 and the car has been absolutely brilliant. Here's my topic but for anyone to lazy to sip through it, here's a summary: - Replaced shift knob due to original flaking (Skoda part) - Bought trunk/ boot nets and bag (Skoda parts) - Bought front and rear splitter/diffuser from superskoda (Skoda Octavia Cup items) - Replaced the clutch with a Sachs Organic 2 months ago as the original was slipping - Replaced the suspension with bilstein B12 with Eibach springs as original ones started leaking - ECU tune or remap (Stage1) done at Shark - Replaced the intake pipe and inlet with TurboTechnics and swapped the panel filter with BMC one I've received the car with 18" wheels (5spoke) which have now winter tires on them, and I'm giving them with the car as well. Happy to give just the 18" wheels and tires and keep 19" for a reduced price on the car (£750). The 19" wheels have Dunlop SportMaxx RT2 on which are 1 year old (happy to measure the mm left if needed). Here's the ad I have. Car was never tracked, molested, raced, always cared for, and with all work done, all it needs is regular services and an owner that will continue to pamper and spoil it. I of course have all invoices of parts bought, as well as of all work done on the car, with both keys and everything else you'd expect from a responsible owner. Happy to answer any questions. My topic and ad have loads of pictures so hopefully that should cover all the bases. Edit: forgot to mention that it has always been serviced at the official Skoda garage/dealer so full history and all stamps are there.
  19. Hey, The only modification that I made (apart from changing the filter itself and the pipe and inlet elbow) was remove the snow shield or snow guard. I considered adjusting the front air ducts as the gti boys have done, but found no reason to, especially as no one could prove any benefits, and I never hack any original parts for no reason. The standard setup has plenty of cold air flow and in my opinion requires no modifications. If you want my advice, don't cut anything but rather ask Revo if you can buy their front duct only (from their carbon intake for MQB) and ask them if it fits the original box. Replacing should be easy as they only have 4 bolts holding it together.
  20. Absolutely hilarious actually. I feel bad for all that taunt him on the roads
  21. I parked next to AOUK, facing British audio stand
  22. Are you all briskodians scattered around or have you actually gathered your cars somewhere?
  23. Hehe another exhibitor. Means you need to show up at 8 and park at the club parking (whichever you selected). I still haven't checked if normal public parking is possible with these tickets and not only exhibitor
