  1. View Advert Stripped and Polished 18" Zenith Alloys from Mk2 Octavia VRS Tyres have been removed. These were fully stripped and polished by TRS in Milton Keynes a few years ago, so there is no paint on them at all. If you want them, my advise would be to have them powder coated as keeping them in good condition requires a lot of frequent polishing. The garage that took the tyres off also managed to scratch them up a little, so if you want to keep them bare metal and maybe have them lacquered, you (or someone) will need to sand out the scratches and re-polish first. Not trying to make any money on these. The £50 I'm asking for is what a scrap yard will give you for the aluminium at current prices. I spent £500 on the stripping and polishing, so I guess I'm just hoping someone can benefit rather than just recycling them. Don't think there's a courier on Earth who would ship these for less than £100 and I have no boxes, so collection only I'm afraid. 2. View Advert Exodus FP3 Roof Bar Foot Pack and Thule Square Rails for Octavia Mk2 Estate There is a part on one of the brackets (see pictures) that will not stay on the metal rail as the end of the clips moulded into it have broken off. This can not be fixed on with glue or tape as it needs to be able to move up and down. The issue does not affect mounting, as once on it cannot move. It's just a nuisance when storing them as it will slide off. Advertiser jronnquist Date 21/08/21 Price £20 Category Parts for Sale Shipping Estimate £5
  3. View Advert Darkside 1.9 & 2.0 8v PD105 BLS / BRM & BMP / BMM EGR Race Pipe Took this off my Mk2 Octavia PD140 4x4 Estate before it was scrapped. It has been mounted to an engine, but not one that ever ran, so it's as good as new. Cost new is £108.00 Link to the Darkside Developments item page: here I have the pipe, the three mounting bolts and the O-ring only, not the blanking plate, gasket and tubing the kit is sold with. 4. View Advert Superskoda 3-Piece Front Spoiler for Octavia Mk2 Pre-facelift (Not VRS) Pulled this off my PD140 4x4 Estate before the breakers came for it. It's the ABS Dynamic kit sold by Superskoda (now Kopacek) for £150. It is made from ABS plastic, not fibreglass. It is a 3-part kit that sits over the front bumper and attaches with screws on the bottom and double-sided panel tape on top. It will NOT fit onto the VRS front bumper. If you want to fit this on a VRS (which would improve its look by miles, in my opinion) you would need to swap out the front bumper for a non-VRS one, which I believe will fit. There are scratches and some cracks on the bottom as a result of grounding, but these are not visible when the kit is on (see pictures). The two side panels have been sprayed metallic black (the official Skoda colour is Black Magic). The centrepiece is matt black. Will take £30, but you'll have to collect. 5. View Advert 18" Octavia Mk2 VRS Stripped and Polished Zenith Alloys Set of 4 18" Zenith alloys from my 2007 Octavia VRS. These were fully stripped and polished by TRS in Milton Keynes a few years ago using their ceramic polishing machines. You can check it out here: https://www.trsuk.co.uk/ceramic-polishing/ They no longer have the flawless chrome finish they arrived back with as I did not have them lacquered, but they do clean up nicely as you can see. That said, I must warn any would-be buyers out there that maintaining them in this state is not easy. To keep the oxidization and break dust at bay, you need to re-polish them regularly, and once they begin to grit the roads in winter it gets even harder. Leave it too long and you'll have to get out the 3000 grit wet-dry. The pattern of the casting doesn't help either. I've been doing it by hand using Mothers Mag & Aluminium Polish or Autosol Metal Polish because I'm the kind of idiot who actually enjoys such things. My advice would be to either have them lacquered or use the opportunity to get them professionally powder coated. Two of the tyres are brand new Falkens. The other two will need to be replaced as not much tread left and one of them has a puncture. Will leave them on here for a couple of weeks before posting to eBay. 6. Yes, the inserts are blanks. The car didn't have any sensors in the original bumper and I never bothered trying to install any.
  7. Some pics: Wheels when first returned from polishing. They're not this bling anymore, but still look good (see pics in original post).
  8. This was the bumper when first resprayed. And now. There are some scratches and the car was rear ended a couple of months ago. Bumper is still fine, but the paint is cracked as you can see, hence the need for respray even if you're keeping the colour. And the insert on the right side hasn't been painted as I got it after the respray.
  9. Will take some photos tomorrow. Not sure I can do the hinges as it would make access to the engine bay a nightmare while the car is still here. Not sure you'll want the back box. I cut the down-facing tips off to put straight chrome tips on it from a Passat.
  10. Car is in Basingstoke. Fell free to PM if you want to have a look or remove the part you want yourself. Seats, door panels (plastic inlays have been painted black) and steering wheel are all from my old 2007 Mk2 VRS 170PD BMN. VRS logo on seats have been covered with embroidered Recaro patches. Steering wheel logo is not the original Skoda but an ABT badge. Prices quoted do not include postage. Most I have just plucked out of the air, so feel free to haggle. Other non-original parts: - VRS front calliper carries. The Brembo discs and pads are still good. This is basically all you will need to upgrade your front discs to the VRS 312mm ones. Would take £50 for the lot. - De-badged grill from Superskoda (professionally colour-coded) - http://www.kopacek.com/images/Plasty/o2-fgb-lw12.jpg. Cost £80, will sell for £40. - 3-piece front spoiler kit from Superskoda (professionally colour-coded). Includes the eyebrows for the headlights as pictured - http://www.kopacek.com/images/Plasty/60004.jpg Cost £155, will sell for £75. - Genuine VRS rear bumper with reflectors (will require respray). £75 - VRS pedals, including accelerator. £40. Available parts I have already removed: - H&R DR Series wheel spacers (20mm for front and 15mm for rear) including genuine black H&R extended wheel bolts. Cost me £186, will sell for £100. - Fully polished 18” VRS Zenith alloys (2 with brand new Falcon tires and two that will need new tyres). The alloys were ceramic polished by TRS in Milton Keynes for £125 a wheel. They are no longer quite as shiny as they were when I got them back, but still look good. Maintenance on the raw aluminium (especially in winter with all the salt on the roads) is time-consuming as the spoke design is quite intricate. Were I to do it all over again, I would definitely have had them lacquered by TRS after the polish. I am going to clean them up, but would advise anyone buying them who wants to keep them shiny to have them machine polished back to perfection and lacquered this time. That said, they would also be ideal for powder coating now. Will take £300 for the set (which includes the two brand new tyres). - Locking roof bars with 2 bicycle stands. £100. - retractable boot cover. £25. - Head light clusters with Osram LED side-light bulbs (with CANBUS adapters installed) and LED headlights (which have no issues with the CANBUS). £100 for the pair. Other things for sale. - Kenwood DMX7017DABS head unit (Apple Carplay & Android Auto) with unopened DAB antenna - https://kenwood-electronics.co.uk/car/nav_mm/android-auto-mm/DMX7017DABS/ - Kenwood KAC-8406 900W 4/3/2 Channel amp - https://kenwood-electronics.co.uk/car/amp_spk/amp/KAC-8406/ - Full set of JBL door speakers. - FLI FT12A Active 1200W 12" Subwoofer - https://fliaudio.co.uk/portfolio/fli-trap-12-active/ - Once-piece facia for double-din head unit (will need to be repainted) I would prefer to sell the sound system as a lot. Everything was picked to work together (expect the sub, which is cheap) and the system sounds great. It includes the Skoda Mk2 wiring harness and CANBUS adapter for the head unit, RCA cables between head unit and amp, 12V feed cables for amp and sub and door mounts for the JBL speakers. All in, the setup cost over £700. Will take £350. If you don't want the whole thing, PM me and I will reply with a price when and if there are no takers. Engine is complete (less EGR cooler, which is busted) but not a runner as not fully reassembled. Parts I would be wiling to remove myself are: - Darkside developments EGR delete kit. Cost £90, will sell for £50. - Coolant header tank. Genuine and brand new. £10. - ASV. £50 - MAF sensor. £25 - Rocker cover (and brand new gasket). £25 - Cam rollers. ? - Camshaft (brand new but not genuine). £50. - Lifters (brand new INA Black coated). Cost £100, will sell for £50. - Tandem pump. £50. - Alternator. £25 - Anything else that is relatively easy to remove (ie, not the DPF, turbo or intake manifold, etc.) The car is sitting on a full set of H&R 55mm lowering springs and Bilstein sport dampers that are 18 months old. Combined with the wheel spacers above (and a set of 18" alloys) the kit gives the 4x4 what I would consider to be the perfect stance for on-road performance (and pretty much makes off-roading impossible) if that's your thing. It brings the wheels out flush with the arches and creates and even arch gap all the way around. It's a £350 set-up, but I would take £100 if you come and swap out the the suspension yourself. By which I mean, replace it with your existing springs and shocks as the car is sitting in front of my house and will need to moved eventually. Once I have finished taking off what I can, I will be selling what's left of the car for collection. You would be getting a non-runner with a sound block, crank, pistons, turbo and AC compressor, etc. The radiator is new, as are the lower front ball joints. The Gen 2 Haldex AWD system is also in perfect working order, and it has a clean DPF (I have never see the regen light come on and MOT emissions have always been spot-on). And if no one wants the springs and shocks, they would be yours too. Will consider a price once the time comes. If you would like pictures of anything, just PM me. If you would rather just buy the car outright as a donner for another Mk2 4x4, we can discuss that too. Would be looking for something in the region of £1500 without the alloys and £1750 with. Car is currently sitting on steel rims with worn winter tires. I appreciate that's a lot for a non-runner, but considering what I have spent on it, I think it's still a good price.
  11. Will be pulling the EGR and cooler off my 2007 Octavia Estate when I replace the head in a couple of weeks and was hoping someone might know a good place to go to have the ECU delete done. Only local place I found so far wants £250 + VAT, which seems like insanity to me.
  12. Well, if you're using the 4x4 for traction off-road I certainly agree that the stock ride height is both useful and necessary. I have no intention of ever leaving the blacktop, so for me stiffer suspension and a lower ride are ideal. And the car does handle well in its current configuration. The old 170 PD VRS would regularly achieve wheel spin in 1st and 2nd gears in the wet, whereas the 4x4 handles beautifully. It's only a 2nd gen Haldex system, but so far it has kicked in without delay every time. I do find it odd that Skoda would opt to have a 4x4 estate when it already has the Scout, but I shouldn't complain as if they didn't I wouldn't be driving one, and I would never have bought a Scout and lowered it.
  13. This turbocharger has been removed from my 2007 Skoda Octavia Mk2 VRS PD 170. It has done about 500 miles on the engine (just about broken in?). The unit was refurbished by Universal Turbos, a highly reputable company in Fordingbridge. Turbo comes complete with actuator, oil return pipe (but not the bolt that fixes it to the sump), Temp sensor and plastic connector to the air intake feed. If you want it you're welcome to collect from Southampton. Asking £150 + £15 postage. It will fit the following cars with a BMN engine: VW Golf Mk5 - BMN 170 VW Golf Plus - BMN 170 VW Jetta - BMN 170 VW Touran - BMN 170 Audi A3 - BMN 170 Skoda Octavia - BMN 170 Seat Toledo - BMN 170 Seat Leon - BMN 170 Seat Altea - BMN 170 Additional VW Part Numbers: 03G 253 014 J 03G 253 010 H 03G 253 019 H 03G 253 019 HX 03G 253 019 HV
  14. Sorry, guys. The car has gone to the scrap yard. Should have said sooner.
